Oh well. Guess not all dreams come true. I just wished there were more American sports clothing on the racks. I remember when I went to America, their sports stores were the most beautiful I've ever seen, because they had so many different NBA players and NBA team jerseys that I was lifted up to heaven. In AMART, I don't think my eyes found any, maybe it's hidden on the far wall. The creepiest part was my horoscope that day said that I would be somewhere that involved sports. At arguably the best sports store in Adelaide, you'll find a lot of everything any active sports athlete needs in his/her life. From workout clothing and big balls, this is the perfect place to stop in for a gift, whether it be for you or someone else! Last time I was here I bought 1.5kg barbells for my elderly Father last Xmas, which he appreciated.

I am very much a sports-aholic and watch/play a lot of different sports growing up. This shop is a great place to buy sports products in Adelaide, and if you're lucky to get in, to have a summer job e.g., if you have just finished your most stressful year of high school and need some extra cash for your own, rather than mooching off your parents. Geez, whoever chooses to work here if they are unemployed student has good taste. I wouldn't complain if I got to show the different cool stuff they have in store and just talking about what sports the customer plays. Being here is a real enjoyable mixture of business and passion. Getting paid to work in a sports store? Hell yea! I'm surrounded by heaps of things to do with sport and fitness. In terms of the best that Adelaide has to offer in terms of quantity and quality of sporting products, this is the place to go. If you ask the friendly shop assistant in the black shirt, you'll learn that they "will match any price any other sports store has to offer". Now that's how you blow out the competition. There is so much I can say about this store...in fact, I CAN write a long-ass review about how much I love sports stores if given the chance...but I'll keep this one short for your sake. My favourite phrases I remember from the shop assistant: "These are the official balls used for the AFL games and footy trainings, Sheriff Red and yellow. My team uses these balls in training." We even shared what our favourite sports were: Australian Football, Water Polo, Swimming (shop assistant), Basketball, Gridiron, Tennis, Soccer, Volleyball, Boxing (me)! In fact, I have bought "my $20 balls" here for several years. Just make sure you grab a ball that doesn't get flat as soon as you buy it, it has happened to me before. OMG, I think just burned half of all my calories just looking around and pretending I'm playing all these different sports....no other store in Adelaide makes you do that. I would've given this 5 stars, but I just wish there were more and more stuff to choose from, had more walking space and that it was much bigger. Looking back at the past 5 years of walking in here, not much has changed. And the only way that can happen is if they gain more customers!

Their swimming range is quite limited, as they don't sell any swimmers, just a few pairs of goggles. They have a large range of backpacks, and a few odds and ends of sporting equipment and weights.

Only a small range of their shoes are full priced at the moment - everything else is hugely discounted. And I love the size of this store. The only bigger shoe shops around are the Shoe Warehouses around. You can happily look through this shop for ages and enjoy all the different styles. And bargains.

If you're in to sports and need some shoes, this store will definitely be able to help you out. But if you're after the more fashion based shoes Nike has to offer, disregard this store and head to Hype or Footlocker.

With the help of the friendly shop assistant, she took me up to the highest 2nd level and pointed me in the right direction, and we found the perfect casual pair of going out shoes (complete with the swoosh) at Nike. She was so knowledgeable and informative about every Nike product she showed up, even I was fascinated but how much could be said about each shoe, singlet, and shorts! The swoosh sign for me will always remain retro, yet modern at the same time. Athletes and runners have been picking these shoes for so many years, for one big reason: Nike are hands down the most coolest brand of footwear out there, and it has been for a long time. If it's too expensive for you, their clothing prices are not too high! During most visits I just stare adoringly at those shoes with the Swoosh, but it isn't complete unless you go hunting for that matching singlet and shorts with your shoes...and when you do find them, it's doing time for me and Nike. Just Do It. Go on....I know you want to.

It was stocked to the ceiling with many shoes on sale, but what I really appreciated was the service from the husband and wife team. I walked on a treadmill while my feet were video'd on an ipad and then we watched how my foot rolled/moved in slow motion and what options that meant for my feet. Over the years I've bought shoes online (guessing a suitable model) and also shopped at the warehouse style shops in the city where the poor staff are trying to serve five people at once. Having just spent a few hundred dollars at the physio with an injury she believes might have been caused by the wrong running shoes, I am glad I went to this place. I'm happy to report I've discovered I don't have to pay any more for great service and range and having been signed up as VIPS (a free membership) for an extra 10% discount, we'll definitely be back.

There are plenty of places to sit and wait for your love to deck her feet. Furthermore, there's a full-length mirror for you to amuse yourself by pulling funny faces. Shoppers will enjoy the full-length mirror too, as those feet-view mirrors don't quite show off how much sexier you look in that new pair of stilettos. The staff is helpful and will assault you the moment you pass through the door, but leave you alone the instant you mutter the token phrase, 'I'm just browsing', and return as soon as you appear to require the afore-offered aid. Finally, the prices are reasonable considering the quality and designer brands. That's right, ladies: designer brands! I can hardly contain my excitement.

They have two stores in the Adelaide CBD: one is "The Boutique" situated in the Central Markets, the other is "The Showroom" situated on Gouger St. They seem to be doing well judging from the amount of people that were trying on shoes - young and old, I might add. "The Showroom" store is where you will find more fashionable designer styles, while "The Boutique" store is where they specialise in comfort and work shoes with brands like Birkenstock. Here, they also do more specials, and stock more leisure and casual shoes, plus outdoor hiking shoes and boots. I bought my work shoes here a year ago. They have lasted me all this time while maintaining comfort and minimizing tired feet after an 8 hour shift at the cafe where I work. With their wide range and friendly, knowledgeable service, Lana Lang is a trustworthy place to shop. Oh, and they also do repairs and alterations for affordable prices.

They've got decent prices on work-out wear as well, and plenty of choices for guys including a great range of basketball shorts.
