And there was never a point where they said, "just give up". Many throughout the challenge even on the other side thought I should have won just in principle. But the department wasn't going to give in. They brought out all the big guns to beat my case - a complicated case they were not willing to cede. And even in light of a difficult case (where others would not take the case), WLC and Sara did - all the way to the Supreme Court. That means there was definitely something to fight for, and Sara fought for it. Yes, we lost. That's unfortunate for such a long fight for me then Sara.
