(A clue that the vehicle is rented is obvious markings like a U-Haul cargo van or out-of-state licence plates.) Still not bad; most I paid so far is $11. Also, DIY junk removal is a lot cheaper than the junk removal services. The catch is you got to provide your own time & muscle power.

The folks running the place have always been courteous / professional and when I check the prices for large weights and amounts they are competitive. If you ever want to see where all the broken and old stuff goes stop in here -like I do with my weekly aluminum cans- and you'll see neatly organized things, some of which I have no idea what they are or where they come from. Traffic is not an issue as they are not on the main drag, so getting in and out is pretty easy. They have 3 or 4 bays and someone is usually helpful loading and unloading my recyclables so I don't waste a lot of time. The thing I like the MOST if rather than taking it to the dump I get a few dollars in my pocket and feel like I am doing my part.

MD recycle says they match competitors prices, that too is a mess, you have to call the competition and get their price and then call MD recycle and tell them what the competitor pays and then ask if they will match it, ugh, a time waster. Just take your stuff to Terrapin, they have an efficient operation and the same hours as the others. The staff there could not be more friendly. I love the paper trail that each transaction takes, they are honest.

The staff that i have dealt with were both friendly and quick. Prices are competitive with other metal recyclers in are area. They are also far more comprehensive with metal theft clearance then what i have seen from others in the area. Not only do they take your license plate, but they also scan your driver's license / photo ID. The only thing i don't like is that they use the atm thing to disperse cash to you.
