The employees who take my order have been friendly and knowledgeable and the employees who make my delivery have always been on time and courteous. Truly, I feel like companies who do what they say are few and far between and Chesapeake Landscape Materials always leave me smiling and restores my faith in service companies. Not like one didn't expect it to be dirty, smelly, and -- eh -- trashy ;-) An observation from this visit & a previous one: if you're driving a rented vehicle, you are likely to be charged by net weight of the trash same as a business, not free like a county resident driving a personal vehicle. (A clue that the vehicle is rented is obvious markings like a U-Haul cargo van or out-of-state licence plates.) Still not bad; most I paid so far is $11. Also, DIY junk removal is a lot cheaper than the junk removal services. The catch is you got to provide your own time & muscle power.

TBH, moving forward, I will be looking for a new location to Dry Clean my clothes. We brought several pieces to be dry cleaned and we left one short. You see, they "lost" a very expensive custom fit shirt valued at approximately $110 dollars. Just lost it! No explanation..just "so sorry". We went back when we realized it wasn't in the receivables and asked to see if they could find the shirt...they stated to give them time to look and come back. We did. Upon second visit..we were told by an associate that they could not find our item and after a discussion, were told that we would have to talk to Mimi the general manager, but the best they could do was a credit towards future dry cleaning. This wasn't optimal but it was ok. We asked for this in writing and was told no. When we asked when would be an optimal time to call MImi we were told .."we could not call to talk to Mimi" because they "don't answer their phones"!!! What!? How does a business function like this? So again, took time out from a very busy schedule to stop in to see Mimi to receive the credit. This is where it went from bad to unbelievably horrid. We were told in no certain terms that this was our bad luck and that they would not honor their verbal agreement as there was no way we could prove that any of this transpired and we would lose any small claims if we attempted to seek a refund. Please! Do not use this company. They are thieves at best. It is a shame too, because we always want to support local.

Called to ask about copper. They said yes they take it…read more Went on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Parked in front and went in. Wrong door. They directed me to get back in my car and drive around the back. The guy tested each piece and weighed it. Then gave me a receipt and I went into a small room with an ATM and directions. I scanned the receipt and it spit out my money. Not a lot. But good to get rid of the stuff.
