I walked in here craving an avocado roll and I walked out unsatisfied still craving an avocado roll. I do not understand how this place can claim that they know how to make sushi. This is my second time I have ordered a very simple avocado roll from this place and they still do not understand anything. Too much rice and no avocado. It was so chewy and hard to eat. Also why are there robots, I feel like they add nothing to the service, the server was actually the only good part about this experience. I do not remember his name but he was really nice. Inside was okay, there was nothing special, actually looked like it was in the processes of being reorganized or something.

I think this place is great for what it is! They have delicious noodle bowls. I went with a few people and we got the udon stir fry bowl, vegetable tempura, spicy salmon roll and a philly roll!

Roll won't stay rolled and I'm not sure it's even tuna on top

If you don't care about taste and texture or the expiration date of fish then you'll love Red Bento. Gave it another try since they changed locations and I was hoping this experience would be better, however Linda was treating her employees poorly in front of customers on a busy Friday night. I really wanted to give them another shot, but after this experience, I won't be back.

Came here around 12pm on Thursday, 10/07/11, to order a takeout. The service was good and quick, and the food was okay. If I was impressed by something , I like how neatly packed the sushi were for the take out and how the sushi looked neatly assembled. Now, the sushi rice for me needs seasoning and fish doesn't taste as fresh. As much as I wanna critic the raw fish, I understand that we aren't near the coast and with the supply chain issues it would affect the quality, so I'm not focusing on it too much. I wasn't really fond of the cream cheese on the Philly roll, so the cream cheese used could be better. The Alaskan roll and the Philly roll really need to look different from each other and have some uniqueness to it. The Alaskan roll looks boring.

crunched this stone in half with my mighty jaw... food here "rocks"

Brief tutorial for the cooks at this Red Bento: Put uncooked rice into a cambro or a measuring cup. Hold your open hand palm side up over your rice cooker and slowly pour the rice over your hand to visually inspect for rock and other debris. When the rice is cooked, use a utensil to fluff it and visually inspect it again for undesired foreign objects. Then, later when you are measuring and handling rice to roll sushi, inspect it a third time in case it picked up any stray debris from your block or station. Technically when you plate or package a meal there is a fourth opportunity to inspect the food, too. So, yeah. Had a fairly large rock in my sushi today--not a boulder but it was larger than the rice grain and it was pitch black. I was already aware that debris can be present in grains and legumes sometimes but the staff did make an effort to re-explain this to me. Either way I have a cracked tooth. They did refund the cost of the item and the cashier apologized... Thanks for that, I guess. On a side note completely unrelated to this experience, a while back we also had a server here ask us if my s/o was my mom. Kinda harshed our anniversary date but obviously didn't stop us from coming back because the food was good enough. The food wasn't exactly bad on this trip (sore mouth definitely ruined my appetite and I was only a few bites in) but quality and size was noticeably smaller--I understand supplies are difficult and I wouldn't have mentioned it under different circumstances. Sorry for leaving bad feedback during this time, but come on, guys. :( UPDATE: 24 hrs after our meal, my s/o and I are both having pretty bad diarrhea... sorry again but this seemed worth mentioning

I decided to stop by here at bentos and the shrimps were super small . The orange chicken was plain BAD . Felt like it was sitting out for time. The people were nice but the food was Bad

One of my favorite sushi places. Every time I am in town and get chance to go I do. The best Unagi out there. Family owned. Very friendly and authentic. Can't go wrong with this choice.

Red Bento plastic water bottle. The only way to get water. Next time I'll bring my own.

Great deals on their lunch special, and the best sushi around. This was one of my favorite spots when I was at school.

We still decided to wait because we made the trip for this place. It was about a 30 minute wait, when they decided to offer an outside seat. We accepted, and we were the only ones outside most likely because it was freezing outside. Our waiter did not come out for another 20 minutes, which we thought they forgot about us at this point. He came out and we ordered right away for the crab wontons and a Thai tea. After a long time we received our food, which I understood was because they were busy but still. The Thai tea was extremely sweet, unbearably sweet. I decided to ask them if there's a way to make it less sweet and they said that there's no way and they could only add more cream. I asked to take it off because it was hard to drink. If you don't like sweet drinks, I don't recommend the Thai tea at all. The crab wontons were good but they were cold, which was a little disappointing. After another 30 minutes we got the chicken Pad Thai and Pad kee Mao. Both were very hot and delicious, we got it at a medium spice level, which was perfect because it would have been too spicy otherwise. They never checked up on us after. We waited for a long time after finishing and nobody came out so we went in and asked for the box and a check. The food was fine, but I was disappointed in the Thai tea and the service. Yes I know they are busy and I understand, but to throw us outside and forget about us was really disappointing. I was freezing outside and waited a long time for the food and for getting served.

I really enjoyed them and the sauce it came with was delicious! Decided to get two chicken dishes, pad Thai and Phad Se Ewe. I got the pad Thai at a level 2 and the phad de ewe level 3. The spice level 3 was perfect for me, a little kick but not too spicy. These portions were also huge and had plenty of left overs. Overall my favorite was the phad se ewe, I love the charred taste in the dish. The experience I had was a lot better than the last time I came and I noticed they played music this time which was great I definitely will be returning!

My favorites so far are their Massaman Curry with chicken, Yellow Curry Fried Rice with Pork, Phad See Ewe with chicken, and Pork Spring Rolls. The famous saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies with this restaurant. The exterior and interior looks outdated and worn down. It also lacks any ambiance because the decor is lacking and it is so quiet in there that it feels more like a library than a restaurant. However, this restaurant is a legit small family-owned and operated business and I appreciate the hard work they put in and I can tell they take pride in putting out delicious, quality food. So, don't judge this place by how it looks. If you're looking for a decent Thai restaurant, try Thai Ginger out. I look forward to dining here again the next time I'm in Pullman, Washington and trying more dishes.
