The good: it's a well-kept hotel in a great location. You'll be happy with the room quality, plus…read morethe layout, etc. The bad: they charge you to park in their lot. This isn't a municipal lot or anything like that. It's their lot and they charge guests to park in it. The first night I stayed here, I didn't pay it and wasn't asked. I figured those signs were for non-guests. I liked the place so much, I came back. And...they tell me I have to pay $20! Now, I don't have an MBA from a grade-inflation school, but I can tell you that I'd much rather someone spend that $20 on a drink or anything else, since that is likely to generate RECURRING revenue, leading to a larger profit, even if the margin isn't as good as the ripoff parking fee. Now, I bluntly told the girl at the front desk that this fee is a ripoff (I didn't swear or gesticulate wildly), but she was offended by my characterization of a ripoff as...a ripoff! Not only does she enjoy ripping people off, but she doesn't want you to call a ripoff...a ripoff! So, definitely come here if you want a good night's sleep, but not until they get rid of the parking fee. There are plenty of other hotels nearby that are just as good and won't get their feelings hurt if you tell them that Marriott Saddle Brook's parking charge is a ripoff.

Stayed here for 2 nights when I attended a family wedding. The staff at the front desk were…read morefriendly and helpful. I did not have to wait on a long line.(I did check in online but still had to check in at the desk to get a room key.) My room was huge, clean, with comfortable beds and lots of storage space as well as a roomy kitchen. I had requested non feather pillows on the app and they were on the beds as I had hoped! There was a cute free breakfast every day. The area was always kept clean. The gym is lovely with plenty of up to date equipment. Oh... and you can stream HBO for free!! Can't wait to return.

This was a great hotel. Clean. Quiet. Nice rooms. My only complaint about the room is that the…read moresuite has just a curtain between the living space and beds. A door would be preferred. The breakfast buffet was excellent! Every day they had different dishes. Great variety. There were plenty of options for people who don't eat pork and even for vegetarians. Usually the only protein is eggs. But they also had chicken sausage, vegetarian sausage, and a yogurt bar. Of course there was the usual continental breakfast fare: waffle maker, assorted cereals, assorted breads (bagels, muffins, etc), fruit, and juices. Although there are some empty spaces at this minute I snapped some of my pictures, when one thing ran out they were quick to replenish it. And they made sure to keep food stocked until the end of breakfast (sometimes buffets start emptying things out well before closing time). This was definitely appreciated by those who came a few minutes before 10! The space for dining is a bit small. Every day except one, it was very crowded. But they do provide trays so you can take the food to your room, which I did each day. Having trays was awesome--such a small thing but made a big difference! They also have a hot drink area available all day: coffee, hot chocolate, and tea (although the flavors are basic).

I have been staying in this hotel probably 3 to 5 times a year for the past many years. As I said…read morein previous reviews, I like that for the location they have free parking. I have always stayed in a king room on the lower floors because the top floors are pricier executive kings. I know that the executive rooms have refrigerators and microwaves, but I expected them to also be a little nicer than the regular king rooms. Well, now I know that they are NOT. They are exactly the same size room and all they did is wheel in a fridge and pop a microwave on top of it and sit it under the lamp! I arrived at the hotel at around 2:35 on a Sunday. In all the years I've been coming here I have always been able to check into this hotel by 2:30, and as IHG member I typically request early check-in in the app. However, this time when I arrived, there were no rooms that were clean, no regular King rooms anyway... And then she said oh we don't have any clean Queen rooms either. Do you want an executive king? So I said sure, thinking that she was just gonna upgrade me to that because nothing was available. But now I was charged like an extra 40 or 50 bucks for it. And that actually annoyed me because I had gotten a really cheap rate this time because I had booked my stay about three months in advance. The other difference is the executive kings are on higher floors and they are facing in the opposite direction so instead of a view of the highway you actually do have a view of the far away New York City skyline. My volume control on my TV did not work so the volume was so low I could barely hear it. The ice machine on the ninth floor was out of ice. I will say that the beds are very comfortable in my opinion, and it is always been very quiet. This time I don't even think there was anybody on my floor. It was so quiet. The heating and cooling have always worked well in this hotel, but the hotel rooms are definitely showing where and are definitely in need of updating. The bathroom lighting is terrible if you need to do make up. Because I am IHG member I got two free bottles of water upon checking in which I always appreciate. Upon checkout when there was no ice to fill my cup for my 6 Hour Drive home I just asked if I could get another bottle of water because of the ice machine being out of ice and the girl at the front desk reminded me that usually you can get ONE free bottle of water at check-in, but she guessed I could have one. I was like for the 40 or 50 bucks extra I paid I hope I can get a freaking bottle of water. The other annoyance this time which is not surprising because the Sky restaurant does not seem to get much business...before my event I tried to go upstairs and get a burger. When I arrived on the 12th floor (which has a stunning panoramic view because the hotel is round) There were no staff people working. But this time aside from myself, there were about four other people waiting. There was a woman and her son sitting at the table and they said they've been waiting there for 15 minutes and have not seen a soul. This happened to me several times in this restaurant, but usually eventually somebody came within the first 15 minutes. I did not have time to wait this time and by the time a management person came up and said a chef was on his way I had to leave and eat elsewhere. I most likely will stay here again, but if I have another poor experience, I may end up having to finally switch hotels.

The room was reasonable, well appointed and clean. I could have used a mini fridge but the ice…read moremaker was on the floor. The sky restaurant was great for a cocktail and dinner, I had the chicken quesadilla starter and it was enough for my dinner. At breakfast the coffee was very good and hot. I ordered a three egg omelette and it came with fruit and potatoes. Eddy is great he was my bartender last night and my waiter this morning.

We were looking for a decent place that would have a pool so that we could make a weekend out of…read moreit, we came across this place price & location were good so we decided to give it a try. We arrived early Saturday morning & were able to check in, nice always a plus when this happens, we got room #401. Room was nice, spacious comfy bed & Dove toiletries to use not bad. Once checked in we headed to the pool for the rest of the day. It was nice, relaxing until a very large family came with way too many kids then the area was a bit crowded & loud. We had our table which was comfortable so at least we were not in the middle with everyone else. Next day we got a late check out & just chilled at the pool which was nice, barely any one around. Over all we had a good stay, decent room, nice pool as long as it isn't too crowded. Our check in/ out was smooth no issues, staff was nice we had a nice stay.
