They made us feel like family or like new good friends! Their hospitality is excellent! From the moment we walked in, Sue greeted us with a warm and friendly smile and made us feel welcomed. Larry is also very friendly and made us feel at home. That's nice because my wife said from now on when we come up to Amish Country, this is our home and this is where she wants us to stay. We stayed in the French Country room which was so big and spacious and has a private balcony to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. The king size bed was very comfortable to sleep in. It has a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub in it. The only thing we didn't like or feel too comfortable with, was the bathroom door. It's a sliding door that doesn't completely close and give you privacy when you're going to use the bathroom. But, it's not a big deal because the rest of the room was beautiful and spacious. From the moment we walked into our room, my wife couldn't believe how beautiful the room looked and told me I did a great job picking out this room. (I redeemed myself from the last place I picked out for us to stay at which was a terrible B & B in Bucyrus that we'll never go back to). Larry & Sue fixed us a great breakfast the next morning. Before we ate, Larry said grace with us thanking God for the food and all of God's blessings on us which we thought was amazing and we were so glad that Larry did that, since my wife and I have always prayed together over our meals and give thanks and together every night before we say good night, we pray together. Always keep and share the faith my brother Larry. Thank you so much. We had pumpkin pancakes that were so good, we ended up going and buying some of the pumpkin pancake mix at this nice little country store Sue told us about called Ashery's. Sue's scrambled eggs with cheese were so yummy I had to have a 2nd helping. They also made us home potatoes & sausage. They even had fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. It was such a yummy and satisfying breakfast, that we were full all day until we had dinner at Berlin Farmstead (see my review on that place too). I could go on and on about how great this place is but, you need to come and experience this place for yourself and see how great it is. Their price is very reasonable toThis is a new B & B and hasn't even been open a year yet. We wish Larry & Sue all the best success in this place. We will definitely be back to visit our new friends again soon, and stay here in our room the French Country, that we now call our home in Amish Country! Even though the cabins are next to each other, we felt like we were the only ones on the property. The jacuzzi tub in the room was a really nice amenity. We enjoyed the fireplace (super easy to turn on and off with a light-switch) and couldn't believe how much heat it put out. The kitchen was stocked with basic cooking essentials and dishes for two. The only downside was the miscommunication with our checkout. We payed for a late checkout, but apparently the office didn't communicate that to housekeeping. The office left me a voicemail saying they didn't have record of the late checkout, I returned the call and confirmed that we did pay extra for that, and then shortly after housekeeping showed up and we had to also tell them that we had a late checkout. Kind of took us out of our getaway bubble, but overall a really nice vacation experience.

I was in the lower level room, which had a queen & twin bed and a nice big bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. It was off of a secluded living room down on lower level. The great room/dining room was very roomy as it sat 20 seats at dining tables & almost 10 spots near the fireplace. Bunches of games were available for playing, coffee/tea/cocoa stations available all day & complementary cookies were put out before dinner. Breakfast was excellent... Including OJ and fruit and cream cheese parfait to start, egg bake squares with turkey sausage, crispy hashed potatoes, then fresh baked blueberry muffins to end! It was served family style so you shared w/ your table which was pre-portioned with enough to feed your number. Staff was too nice & very quick w/ refills. Bed was firm but pillows were too flat for me so I doubled up. The porch was wrap around w/ spectacular views of countryside! Worth the trip & would come again!

Clay said grace and Joyanne said about everything else. Just a wonderful couple, full of stories and inquisitive about our lives. She wrote a book about there experiences with the local Amish and told stories of how they used to drive them around. This part of Ohio is all gentle rolling hills with plenty of farmland. We were here in the peak fall color viewing time so it was a little slow getting around. I imagine it's always a little slow all year with all the bikes, buggy's, and tourists. Lots to do and see in the area. We were lucky enough to be here during the towns annual garage sale, so we spent some time shopping these. I bet you would be hard pressed to find someone with a bad disposition around here, everyone seemed quite content with there own pace of life they have sit for themselves. If you are lucky enough to book a room here, make sure you tell them I said hello, they are not the type to read things on line.
