Tucked away in Tyrone this place is larger inside than what appears outside. When we arrived we were greeted quickly by the staff and everyone was friendly. Yall they have everything from high end decor to name brand adult clothing, kids toys and beds. They have changing rooms for trying on clothes this place is a great thrift store. Clean interior/exterior and prices are good on some items others a bit steep in my opinion. I did not see a restroom sign. I recommend this place and will be a frequent customer from here on out. I consigned with them for my first time recently... and let me tell you, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. The two girls working that day were extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful. They made everything extremely confusing and contradicted everything they said they would and wouldn't take. No stars today. Wanted to begin an account with incredible high end blouses. I called earlier. Nothing was said about Covid on cloths. Lady said she can't look at cloths today..had that attitude like dont.do me.any favors. Attitude is everything. One bag over 7 shirts on hangers so I don't drop them. Covid if any is gone. Good selection but horrible to consign with. Their published information is never up to date so when you try to follow the rules and dates for consigning, your are constantly surprised that they have changed everything and you lugged all your stuff to them for no reason. They also will not let you leave and often have a wait of over 1-2 hours to consign. Even on a weekday morning. The best thing about it is that your stuff will sell because they have such a large amount of traffic. So despite the frustration, selling is worth it. read more

This was a place full of hate, bitterness and mean girls! Working at Red Door felt like a hellhole! My coworkers ganged up On me and made false accusations against me and then they told my bosses. I told my bosses that they were making up stuff but they acted like I wasn't important at all. I will NEVER EVER step a foot into red door again! After three tries of trying to consign, I decided to write a review. The two stars are one for the fact that they give military discount if you shop there. The other star is it's clean and organized. I have been here to shop and it's always been a positive experience in past years. However, to consign is a different story. It's been horrible experience. For one thing they do not clarify what they can and cannot accept. No where on their website does it state a description of the items that they do not accept. For example do not bother bringing in crystal before Christmas. Do not bring in pictures that are not "rustic". Do not bother to bring in items in a clear plastic bags but you can bring in a plastic bin. Do not bring in new candles, do not bring in decorative plates. Do not bring in ceramic bowls. Do not bring in clothes without a tag even though it was purchased in Italy and never been worn. The Red Door is absolutely wonderful. The staff is nice, and the clothes are organized quite well. They offer an assortment of clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, dvds, home furnishings, and children's clothes. I really enjoy spending an hour or so here to sort through the clothes and emerge with wonderful finds! If you plan on consigning they only accept things between certain hours and you are not allowed to bring them in a plastic bag. I haven't consigned but once I do I will update. If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was recommended to me by a family member because I wanted to make a few extra dollars so I thought consigning was a good idea. I got to the store at 12:30, filled out the paperwork required to start a new account, which required me to leave my phone number and the color, make and model of my car. They said they'd text me when I could come in and have my items examined. I went out to my car and waited...and waited...and waited. An hour passes by and I'm thinking that this wait is ridiculous so I go in at 1:55 and ask how long does it take to typically be called back in. The girl who gave me the forms said, "have you been in here? What's your name?" I gave her my name and she says, "Oh, you look familiar." I said yeah that's because I was just in here?!?! The other girl at the counter says that she texted me at 1:15. I reply that I have not received a single text so I give her my number again and she says that she entered it wrong (duh) and that it was because the numbers were "jumbled together" on the page. Now, my handwriting is not the best, but I know for a fact that it is legible. I even have a picture of the paper I signed with it on there to prove it. I would post it but that's my cell number and uh yeah lol. Anyway, the first girl tells me I can bring my stuff in and at this point I don't even want to bother because of how unprofessional they've been so far but I do it anyway. She goes through my clothes which out of about 15-20 pieces, she only accepts 8; 2 short of what is needed to start an account. She tells me that a pair of shorts aren't able to be sold now because of the material of them is more for winter...shorts...in the winter...okay? I don't argue because if that's their rules, that's their rules. So I leave with all my clothes and no apology from them for not double checking themselves & not doing anything to help facilitate the process like calling or at least seeing if my car was still in the parking lot and having me wait so long. Totally unprofessional and poor customer service in my book. I will never go back here ever again. read more

The selection has always been great. They've been under new manager for almost a year and I've notice they're getting picky! Seasons are constantly changing as far as what they're accepting and when. The lady with the curly ponytail is rude! She never smiles or welcomes you in. I've heard her yelling at employees from across the room!! They have a big turn over with employees so I'm guessing she's the reason. Overall, it's really gone downhill. The atmosphere is almost too tense to shop. read more

I have really found some very good items at Red Door. The customer service is ok (only dealt with one rude employee) but everyone else has been very pleasant. The place is organized very well. They get really good and high end items. It's sort of a pain at times when dropping off items because they don't want you to sit on the furniture, but then they don't offer anywhere for consigners to sit and wait after they've browsed or perhaps don't want to browse and just do their drop off. So they pile other items on the chairs and sofas while customers wait for sometimes hours. You can't leave either so they really need to look into finding a waiting area for consignors. I don't take as much consignment items for that very reason. However, overall it's really a nice place to get gently used clothes, furniture, and household items. read more

I had already called to ask about consigning some clothing and household items on 12/11/19. Someone told me to just bring them in between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. I have vintage clothing items with designer labels that are all in excellent condition, and are classic styles. I have household items that are in pristine condition. It was raining heavily when I walked into what I believed was the entrance of the store. I was told that I could bring them in. After bringing in some of the items, A VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE (OR SHE MAY BE THE OWNER) stated emphatically, "YOU HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND TO THE FRONT!" I had to ask how to drive around, because traffic on Senoia Road was very bad. The VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE said, "You just have to drive around through the gravel!" There is a heating and air business right next door. After bringing ALL of my clothing items into the store, the VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE condescendingly said, "We can't accept these items, because THEY ARE OLD." I angrily said, "SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE INFORMED ME OF THIS WHEN I INITIALLY CALLED!" A different employee said, "Well, we don't ever do that. I am sorry." THE VERY RUDE EMPLOYEE NEVER APOLOGIZED TO ME AT ALL! I GRABBED ALL OF MY ITEMS AND STORMED OUT!" I WAS STRUGGLING TO CARRY ALL OF THE ITEMS! NO ONE AT THAT STORE OFFERED TO HELP ME TAKE THEM BACK OUT TO MY CAR!!!!! I saw another lady bringing in some OLD children's ride on toys. Someone did come out to help her! I visit family twice a year in Tyrone, Georgia and while my daughter was at work I decided to check out this shop... never again!.. I walked through the door and a woman was at the counter, no hello.. welcome to our shop... let me know if I can help you...nothing! I proceeded into the store and 3 store employees..women.. were putting clothes on racks.. again no hello...nothing!.. I have shopped many little stores in the Newnan, Sharpsburg, Tyrone area and have always been greeted with the wonderful Southern hospitality!.. I love the selection and prices at Red Door and I've had a great experience consigning my items. I've never had any issues with items not being accepted. However, the female at the consignment desk with long brown hair has absolutely no interpersonal skills and has an arrogance about her. In fact, I've contemplated returning to my favorite Newnan consignment store just so that sourpuss doesn't ruin my mood. I took in about 200 items for consideration for consignment. All very high end clothing and shoes, very gently worn. All items had been dry cleaned. They only took 12 items. The items they accepted were tennis skirts that were off brand from Dicks. They don't know clothing that is designer brands. Very sad. I will not go back. They like clothes from Old Navy. I will go in to pick up my check. It will probably be about $2. read more

I was actually really pleased to read a couple of the other reviews and to see I was not the only one who felt this way. While this is a great consignment store as far as selection goes, I have never felt valued as a customer or consigner. The management is not friendly or generally helpful. The "girl with the long brown hair" that is mentioned below was given the perfect description. No interpersonal skills, has never smiled at me, acts generally annoyed when you ask her a question. It also bothers me that the MANY times I have brought in piles of clothes, opening doors by myself, struggling to get in, I have never been offered a helping hand--something simple like a door being held for me on the way in or out. I've also never been told "Thanks for shopping with us", or "thanks for consigning with us." They would not have a business if it weren't for people who bring in items, so I truly wish they would understand this and learn to treat their customers with a little more value and respect. read more

I have been going to Red Door consignment for years, more to shop than anything. But every time I have tried to consign with them, they have been horribly rude..everyone in the store with the exception of the cashier with long red hair. I just had a really bad experience with them about 2 months ago and will never go back. One-they were rude to me in the parking lot before I ever even go to the front door, two-they wouldn't accept half of the stuff I brought and other stores will and instead of explaining it politely why they wouldn't take it, they threw it to the side on the counter and were like "NO!" really loud and in front of other customers, I think 4 different employees were rude to me in one day third-I left a $130 excersaucer for babies with them to sale, had all parts, shiny clean and manual with it as well, called a couple of days later to check price and they had marked it $29.99....NONSENSE!!! They have sold an ugly faded high chair in there before marked $79 only because it said Peg Pereggo on it. I called to ask the manager if I could get it back and he said yes but that he would not pull it from the floor, I just had to come get it and if it wasn't there anymore then thats my loss. I did not know I could get a price estimate on it while dropping it off or I would never have let that thing go...I got $13.00 for it! That was an insult to my friends that chipped in and paid all that money for the gift. Needless to say, the next day I went to get it back and they had sold it about two hours earlier...of course they had SOMEONE GOT A FREAKING $130 EXCERSAUCER FOR $29.99....I DON'T BLAME WHOEVER BOUGHT IT!!!" I now consign with the Pink Hanger in Sharpsburg, they are so sweet and I let them know how Red Door treated me. I agree with Jen's review. The staff could care less if one shops at this store. I had a return item that actually could be returned per Ryan because the item did not work. The "manager", supposedly the owner's son can only quote policy. He has no idea how to execute great customer service in order to keep a shopper coming to his store. He did me one favor though...I saved over $1500 in 2012 by refusing to shop at Rude Door...I mean Red Door. People have a choice where they will spend hard earned dollars. I am so glad I found this page because I thought it was the only one !! I, too, love the merchandise at this shop, but the red-headed girl with the long hair is sooo unfriendly. The other ladies in there are very friendly with me except for her. And it because of their kindness that I would overlook her and keep going back. However, enough is enough. Because of that heavy set girl with the long red hair, my days of shopping at the Red Door are over ! First of all, she never greets me. It's like I'm not even there. Let me first say that I am African-American, and I am not one to label people prejudiced over one isolated incident. I allow people to have an off moment or bad day as we all do. But, I cannot tell you how many times I have walked past this girl and she doesn't even acknowledge me, but let a non-black person walk by right behind me & see wont she speak to them !! It's so obvious. At first I was like, "Wow". Then, I just kept about my business since some things aren't worth the energy. Then, one time I went there & saw this beautiful leopard print ottoman. I was touching it and she looked at me and said, "Excuse me, that's not for sale. One of our employees is about to buy that." I said okay, then politely backed off and walked away. It's like she was annoyed that I was even looking at it. Logically speaking, why in the heck is it on the floor if it's not for sale ?? Just put it in the back room. Then, there was another incident when I asked a young man there what color tickets were 50% off that week. He didn't know the answer, so he walked over to ask this same girl with the long red hair. She told him the answer, but also threw in there that I should have gone on Facebook to find that information out. Really lady ?? I didn't respond to her since she wasn't talking TO me. After dealing with this girl's stank attitude numerous times, I didn't go in there for several months. When I finally did go back, I found this gorgeous vase with floral stems inside for only $10. Even though I hated to, I asked her if the stems were a separate price. She looked at it and said that the vase shouldn't even be priced that low, then she took it to some guy to ask him if it was priced right. Now, mind you I didn't ask about the vase. That's going to be $10 regardless since that's what it was advertised as. I only asked if the stems came with it. She could see what a good deal it was & didn't want me to have it at that price. Anyhow, she came back and said it was fine. I took the vase and walked off. I'm pretty good at overlooking ignorance especially since the other ladies in there are so nice to me. But, I just can't anymore with her. My last straw was this week. I went in there and asked her how their consignment worked. She seemed so annoyed that I was even inquiring. The entire time she talked to me, she was looking down or away. All I saw was the color of her eye shadow because she wouldn't even make eye contact with me. It was so apparent she didn't want my stuff or my business. So guess what, Red Door ? You got it ! When I walk in there and see this girl, my whole mood flattens. So, I've decided to spend my hard-earned dollars elsewhere. It's yard sale & estate sale season, so who needs that ? Oh, and by the way there is another consignment shop down the street from them called The Real Life Store. It is a Christian establishment, and I love going there. I will admit their stuff isn't quite as good as the Red Door (YET) because they are still new in town. But honey, those people have excellent customer service !! They are so friendly & approachable. One day I was in there and really didn't see anything that caught me eye, but because of their great customer service, I went and FOUND some items to purchase just so I could support them. Wow! This is one classy, clean and eclectic store. Tons of antiques, quality furniture, name brand clothing and seasonal goods. My daughter and I love to shop here. Staff is very particular about taking only items in season and without damage, stains and odd odors. Do not try to consign here if items are worn or damaged.
