I have bought and consigned items over the years and have always been treated well, resulting in a good experience. They're very professional. Take a photo of every item you consign to this store. We did not do this and found that their system of keeping track of items is apparently non-existent. Stop in frequently to check on your items. We were paid for some items that were sold; several items were never accounted for (not sold, not found in the store, not donated) they were unable to give an explanation as to where they went. I will never consign to this shop again nor will I shop there based on our experience that we were not compensated for all of the items that they accepted into their possession. read more

We've had a nightmare situation with Deja Vu in Peachtree City abs highly suggest others to avoid at all costs! We've given them hundreds of dollars worth of items and we have no idea what's going on. Read the saga.... Our furniture was taken on 3/10 and 3/12 and tagged shortly thereafter. The store closed due to the pandemic, but the original date remained on the pieces and therefore reduced the amount we could receive as the pieces sold. While the pandemic is causing a lot of disruption, this doesn't seem fair. 2 - We came to the store on 6/3. Our desk was being actively used behind the counter! It had tissue paper on it and an in use fast food cup! We were shocked that this would take place because we weren't paid for the piece nor have we been paid for it. Is it a normal procedure to use furniture before it is sold? It is a black desk in impeccable condition. We paid $530 for it new. 3 - On 6/3 we attempted to learn about pieces that didn't appear to be in the store anywhere. The owner appeared not to be able to locate our account information. We discussed the situation for about half an hour while customers were waiting to check out and determined that there was an issue. She promised to get back with us and to date, we've had no further contact or explanation. 4 - On the day we were in the store, we received a check #13021 for $182. 50 for a headboard and one chest, another check #13022 for $42.50 for an accent table and a check for $200 for a couch. The check number was torn off and the owner kept it. 5 - We received another check #13065 for $118.87 last week and we have no idea what it's for as it isn't designated. So, this leaves us with three pieces accounted for at this point. We don't really want to cash this check as we don't know what it's for. We feel that this situation is unacceptable. The following items need to be paid for or addressed: 3 pottery barn bar stools 2 bar height black chairs 2 off white distressed chairs - was supposed to be sold as a bistro set 1 matching small table 1 antique buffet - bought in 1929 and in great shape for something this old! 1 black desk - being used in store 1 accent table - we took one back on 6/3 as they were sent in error 1 small accent grey table 1 boat painting 1 butterfly painting 2 large green pillows a Henry Link solid wood bedroom suite: 1 chest of drawers, 2 night stands 1 dresser 1 large mirror 1 blanket chest Again, we were told on 6/3 that the owner would get to the bottom of the situation and we trusted that it would take place. We know that it may take time for all the pieces to be sold, but it is not acceptable that we haven't been contacted in any way. To receive a check by mail and to not have any indication what it's for with this many pieces outstanding is not acceptable. The company called around July 10th and said they had our account mixed up with someone else's. It happens, but they promised us more money as they're selling AND using our items but to date no check has arrived. It's now over a month later. No checks, further communication, nothing. Do NOT use this company. I'm now wondering if there's fraud taking place? I can't figure out any other explanation. Update: the company did respond to our inquiry. While I have been dismayed the company responded by mailing two checks for more items that have sold. Their shop is lovely and I've bought from them for years, so I'm hopeful that this has truly been a mix up and that they're back on track. Went to the counter today..the woman was facing my direction but would not look at me or ask if she could help me. Finally I showed her a picture of an item they had last week. I asked if it sold. My experience at this shop was most egregious. Total professionalism is lacking. I was given incorrect information and different information by different employees. The female Manager lack the basic management skills, she did not listen when there was an issue with my furniture that was picked up by their employees. She became angry and rude because the employees who picked up my furniture told me one thing and she was stating something totally different. She never attempted to resolve the issue , instead she refused to discuss resolution. She lacked the experience and knowledge to resolve the issue.I was told by the employees the manager would call me to discuss the price I wanted for the items. I never heard from the manager until I called and was told all the items were sold at a low amount. First, she did not know the product and secondary no contract was issued to me. She operated without any authorization from me. She never spoke to me before the items were sold as her employees had stated to me. She operates without any authorization from the owners, no contract, no written agreement and no communication. Her practice has all the criteria of being illegal, but this store can be challenged on the legality of their practice. Having been in the legal profession for many years, l question why they do not use contracts giving them clear authorization to sale for the owners, whereby they take the liberty to make such decisions for the owners. I gave them one star, because zero stars wasn't an option. My daughter and I just had one of the worst experiences in this store while attempting to furnish her new home. We entered the store, the elderly gentleman looked at us, and swiftly left the counter, to prevent from greeting us. However, the next customer who entered the store (didn't look like us), and was greeted, welcomed to the store, and asked had they'd been there before. Next, as we continued down the isles, the younger gentleman looked at my daughter and I, stepped away from the counter (as to avoid conversation with us). Next, the older female (the owner of the store), didn't acknowledge either of us, looked at us, walked past my daughter and I, practically knocking my daughter down. It's sad to say, in this day and age we still have business people who discriminate against you, based on the color of your skin...Needless to say, I didn't/don't give these types of businesses my hard earned funds. No matter what merchandise I'm in need of! Steer clear of this place if you desire a great shopping experience NOT based on the complexion of your skin. read more

On first, and second, visit to this store it looks great! Lots of good quality pieces. That is why my mother and I decided it was a good place to consign her quality pieces when it was time to downsize her home. However, on 2 separate occasions now we were unable to locate several of her pieces when we visited. When the staff was asked, we were told " they are here somewhere". But none of the staff offered to help look for them. The first time the piece in question turned up "sold" -several weeks after our visit- and at a much reduced price from the consignment agreement terms. This last time it happened we removed our items ( that we could find). One is still missing several days later, and another was found sitting behind the building outside with no price tag. Per phone conversation and passing the buck each time there is still an item missing but not sold. If you are able to check on your items often this may be the place for you, if not I would NOT recommend consigning your items here. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I used to love this place but will no longer be shopping there anymore. I have had a few experiences with my last visits that have left me feeling uncomfortable and taken advantage of. My first concern is the inconstancy of pricing and the clear "picking favorites" to certain customers. I have picked up multiple items that were from stores where the original price was lower than what Deja Vu had priced it at!! I have also found original "barcode" stickers on items and the Deja Vu price is higher! Maybe great for the seller (and owners) but as a buyer I feel ripped off. This is a second hand store I want to feel like I am getting some sort of "deal" when I shop here, certainly not overpaying what its worth is. I also bought a piece of art which was presented to me by the older lady as being original, I paid a good price for this item and guess what I made a fool of myself when it was a fake!! I used to enjoy the "hunt for a treasure" at DeJa Vu but I think I will just stick to buying pieces from the original store since it seems to be less expensive and the items aren't presented as authentic and really are not. My husband and I just relocated to south of the Atlanta area and stopped in to Deja Vu in Tyrone, GA to begin to look for the many expensive furniture pieces that we will be needing in the weeks to come. The woman at the counter never lifted her head to greet us and the young adult male working there was just plain rude. My husband and I were in work clothes as we are moving and remodeling - the man literally looked down his nose at us and was so uppity and arrogant. While leaving, we did comment to the woman at the counter how rude we were treated. I wouldn't buy a tea cup here - I will take our large business account to Knox Furniture in Newnan - more expensive but worth it as the service at Knox's was courteous and authentic. read more

I purchased a kids craft table with chairs that was labeled "Potterybarn Set $200". I love Potterybarn and I thought this was a decent price for such a great brand. I was carrying my infant, so I didn't crawl under the table to check for the potterybarn label, I assumed that if the store tag said Potterybarn Set, that it was actually a Potterybarn Set! One of the employees loaded up most of the items for me and it wasn't until I went to unload that I saw the Kidkraft stamp on the bottom of the table and one of the chairs. I returned the next day and explained to the owner that the set had been marked Potterybarn, but in fact it was not. I had found the same table on Amazon brand new for $54, so at this point $200 used seemed outrageous. She admitted that she was aware that the table was not Potterybarn but some of the chairs had been, and it was my mistake for not inspecting the items more closely before purchasing. I reminded her that the tag marked Potterybarn had been taped to the table, so that was really misleading. She refused to refund my money and when I told her that I felt deceived, she just shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. I hadn't been able to fit all of the chairs in my car the day before, so I turned one of the remaining chairs over in front of her and sure enough, it said Kidkraft. I was standing there feeling completely duped, and extremely disappointed in the total lack of customer service when she asked me if I would like to leave on my own or if I needed her to call in security to help my infant and I out of the store. This is a great place to buy and sell good quality used furniture at great prices. One word of warning : when consigning furniture make sure you keep track of what you have consigned and check in to see if it has sold. On two separate occasions I have been told my items had not sold yet , but I could not find them in the showroom. I was told "they must have sold but were not entered into the computer". Both times I was given the sales price of my consigned items but I am wondering if this happens often. I am very hesitant to take any more furniture for consignment for this reason. read more

I have been to this store several times and have noticed that the prices are very high, especially for the quality of their items. I kept hoping I would eventually find something that was both nice and reasonable. No luck. I have seen a few things that I would say are good quality, but everything in this store seems very overpriced. Not only that, every single time I have been, there are ALWAYS different employees. There seems to be a problem with the management. Wonder why the employees keep quitting? Seems odd to me. There are much better places in the area. I won't go back. Because it is a consignment shop, I found that the variety and style of furnishings vary- but because of the decorating talent of the owners, Rebecca, Lynn and Jim, I can always get a fresh perspective on where things will work in my own home. The prices are great and definitely worth the drive from Midtown Atlanta. I recommend visiting often, as the inventory is always changing. Ruthy is very nice and helpful, too. read more

I put an oriental rug on consignment with Deja Vu Home Furnishing. It was a rug that we paid thousands of dollars for. When I went in to check if they sold it, they said that they donated it. I has been there for over 6 months and they just donated it. When asked why they did not call us before donating it, they said it was our responsibility. They also offered that we can do a tax ride off. If you decide to have them sell your items - just be careful. read more

I've been in to Deja Vu several times over the last couple of months, and I've been really impressed at how well they arrange the furniture, artwork and accent pieces. Their prices are very reasonable and the quality and variety of the items they have is consistently better than other consignment stores in the south Atlanta area. Very poor customer service! Be wary of this shop! Even though the owner personally called me and approved each item we agreed to consign, her word is untrustworthy! The owner called to inform me that one piece was "too dated" to sell in the store, even though it was she who had earlier approved it via the photos I sent. When I became upset, the owner had an employee leave a message that she had decided she could not use ANY of the items I had sent! Unbelievably rude of this owner! read more
