It was done same-day, and I chose to have it delivered to the hotel for a nominal fee instead of walking back to fetch it. When the clean laundry didn't get delivered to my door by 5 as expected, I went down to the front desk to inquire and they said it hadn't been delivered, so I called Wash on the Rocks. They answered, called the driver, confirmed it had indeed been delivered (at 4:30!), then had the hotel bellman call me to confirm as well. I ran down to get that laundry so fast! I just really appreciated both the convenience and the immediate problem solving; it was the hotel's error, not theirs, but they really worked to get me those clean clothes. Highly recommend.

Located on the corner of Commonwealth & Reservoir St (diagonally opposite the Royal Albert), HDC do dry cleaning & pressing and best of all, cheap cheap bag washes. I haven't had any dry cleaning or pressing done there, but every week I drop off my laundry, and come back the next day to a bag of washed, dried & folded good times. $10 for a full bag wash (and that's with quite a lot of clothes). The place is run by a really lovely couple who are great with faces, after only around 3 visits I stopped needing to do any paperwork / receipts stuff. I simply dump my bag, and the next day as soon as I walk in the guy grabs my bag, takes my $10 and off I go. You can pay either when you drop off your clothes, or when you pick them up - it's your choice. They also take eftpos, but there's a $1 surcharge.

On the day of the move they asked to speak to me to ask how things went, however, they asked to speak to me on speaker phone on a phone that belonged to one of the movers. This wouldn't have been much of an issue if there weren't problems with the move. However, I was put in an uncomfortable situation as a single woman moving and having to voice my issues in front of the men who caused the issues. At the time I spoke to Adam and voiced my concerns and he agreed that he would call me back once I was safely inside. He then called back and I detailed all of my concerns, he advised he was unable to assist and that it would be best if I sent an email straight away so things couldn't be miss remembered as time went on. I sent an email the very next day, as the move was exhausting as it took all day which was very unexpected. I then sent a detailed email that outlined all of the issues, a brief summary of the issues are as follows - All up this took from 10:20am to 6:20pm for a 1 bedroom plus study apartment. I emailed asking about an elliptical that I owned and wanted to make sure that wasn't an issue. They replied saying it wasn't an issue before I booked. When I did the booking I chose one bedroom as I had done in the past and had never had an issue because it was a one bedroom apartment with a study. I also outlined that in the order form when making the booking. I have used them twice before this time and never had an issue. My previous moves had two beds and more furniture. However this time it was just my bed and a small desk in the study. Meaning my previous moves with them had more furniture. - Two men were hired however, one man worked at 100% capacity and one worked at 50% capacity and mostly stood around and dusted a couple of items. At the destination one man just stood there in the truck and waited to hand things to the either guy to bring things in. - At both sites, one of the removalist (I am sorry but I did not get his name) asked to use the bathroom, which in itself is totally reasonable, however what is not reasonable is to not lift the toilet seat and to leave urine all over the seat. When this happened a second time I asked him to clean up after himself, which resulted in them standing there stopping their work and discussing the issue. Which goes to my first issue of how long this took. The email I sent to the company goes into much more detail. Once I sent the email I waited patiently for a reply. Three days passed and they hadn't replied. Four more days passed and they still hadn't replied. Finally 9 days later they replied saying the office staff do not work on the weekends and that the office staff will reply the following day. I waited another 2 days and still nothing. I gave them time between the holidays and finally emailed asking if I could get a reply on the 6th of Jan. Still no reply. Finally on the 11th of Jan when I said I would like a reply before I raise these issues I got a response. The only addressed the issue of the intimidating call, they just justified why they do it that way. If there wasn't any issues I wouldn't have minded but if someone has an issue they shouldn't be put into a confrontational situation. They then said they will provide an offer of resolution IF I agree to have a meeting with one of their office staff members and the movers. Which again is putting me in an incredibly intimidating and uncomfortable situation. I voiced these concerns and see no reason for me to have to put myself in this situation. I already provided all the details they would need to manage their own employees. After voicing those concerns they said they will only provide a resolution IF I have this meeting. Which is absolutely insane! No company has a disciplinary meeting with the customer who has an issue. I am not their HR nor should I have to do their jobs. DO NOT USE THEIR COMPANY. They are just bullies.

The machine will ask if you're dropping off or picking up. Select dropping off. 2) The machine will deliver you a receipt and open up a drop box with bags. Take a bag, insert your clothes and your receipt in the bag (with your mobile number on the receipt) and drop your bag in the drop box. Drop off complete. 3) You will receive a text message notifying you when your clothes are ready (within one or two days). 4) Return to the machine and insert your same credit card. Again, the machine will ask if you're dropping off or picking up. Select picking up. 5) Select which item you've come to pick up and the automatic hanger will retrieve your item. A little door opens and voila! Your clothes are delivered. VIP Dry Cleaners is more expensive than your average dry cleaner ($11 or $12 for one pair of pants), but you're paying extra for the nifty service and the clothes are always perfectly preened and cleaned. If you go when the shop is open and pay cash, you'll receive a discount (I think about 10%).

I'm not one to complain but this experience has been so traumatising I feel obliged to share to inform anyone who may be considering booking with this company. We booked a premium removal service with Super Easy Storage. We received a tracking link stating our move would take place between 2pm - 7pm. We waited for the removal truck to arrive until 10pm on the day of our move. Nobody turned up. Nobody called. No contact number was provided for the truck. I called every number I could possibly find for the company. No answer. The SES office was unmanned. I emailed my initial contact Harrison - no answer. I refreshed the tracking link 100 times. The truck didn't move. At a point of total despair we drove to the storage facility at 6pm to try and find out what was happening. There was no-one from SES onsite. The neighbouring storage operator said he hadn't seen them all afternoon and it was unlikely they would turn up now. We waited at our house until 9pm, 7 hours after SES were due to arrive - no show. We spent all of Sat evening / Sun morning trying to organise an emergency move and storage option for the next day, and babysitting cover for a second day for our 16 mth old. We had to pay penalty rates for Sunday, cancellation and re-booking fees for the exit clean and an extra day lease. Having received no contact from SES I contacted the company on the Weds (4-days after the scheduled move). Harrison asked me how the move went! Shockingly they had no idea they hadn't turned up! I was handed over to Scott Middleton, Operations Manager (who was also completely unaware), and I had to explain again what had happened. He agreed to 1) examine what had happened to prevent this situation from occurring to another customer and 2) to refund our deposit and provide compensation for the additional costs incurred in organising an emergency move. He assured me he would contact me by 5pm the next day. Once again I received no contact from anyone at SES. I followed again via email on July 14th (2 weeks later!). Our $100 has finally been refunded, but no compensation has been paid. And no explanation has been given as to how this happened. Moving home is considered one of the most stressful things in life. Not having removalists turn up is mentally, physically and emotionally crippling. Based on our experience - I would not book with this company at all costs. Moving is stressful enough - its simply not worth the risk.
