Hired Dottie and Kenshe for a 50th birthday party on a boat! They were so responsive and accommodating for my last minute HUGE ask, especially on one of San Francisco's busiest weekends for burlesque performers. It was an unusual ask for them to come join us on a boat for three hours, but they happily did it and definitely made the night memorable!!!! I went last Friday at El Rio and did not know what to expect. Most of the people that went out of my friends were male, of course, and had a great time. It's only a 30 minute show but they had beautiful ladies on stage, crude and rude acts, and a lovely host. Only $5 to get in and $3 well drinks until 8 (I think). Their drinks will get you good and buzzed although I had to stop early being the designated driver and all. Good times to be had with plenty of laughs. read more

Hired Red Hot Burlesque got a 3 part show for an industry thank you party. I gave Dottie the basic premise of what I wanted and her team completely surpassed my expectations. As attendees left out event I asked what their favorite part of the night was, literally every person said the 3 acts! Dottie was the MC of the night & had the guests laughing/crying, stunned & amazed. She then had a singer singing janes bond songs (casino party), hip hop dancers who were HILARIOUS, sexy ladies, sword swallower, chair dancers, there was SO MUCH going on and it couldn't have been better. I'm not sure how else to express my love for Red Hots. I have so much fun here every single time. The shows are eclectic, sexy, funny, and just so damn entertaining. Also, the intimate crowd is engaged, and you just feel comfortable here. 90ish minute burlesque show: - Host intro - 5-7 acts that are burlesque or circus acts The acts vary with each show. One time, there was an amazing transgender ballet dancer. Another time, it was a plus size woman who worked her curves like no other. And recently, it was a lady with middle-finger-up pasties, which were revealed after breaking out of a straitjacket with no hands. All of the performances are engaging and mesmerizing. - "Raffle" where the raffle winner gets to pick which organization gets the proceeds of the raffle. Is there a better way to spend an evening with an guy old friend who you haven't seen in, oh, ten years, than in bed with alcohol, chocolate strawberries, and near naked men and women prancing about? No. No there isn't. We went to the Wednesday evening Supperclub show, stood in line for a bit, hung out in the bar area and were finally ushered into the main space. The venue was gorgeous! White, airy, and shiny, and it was such a giggle to crawl up onto the beds and settle into the fluffy pillows. A far cry from the dingy, makeshift stages where burlesque is often performed in Hawaii. I highly recommend the bed option. Unless you will be attending the event with someone you don't want to have any physical contact with. Like the fun friend who would be so great if he would just stop trying to ask you out. Don't get the bed option with him. Our waiter was absolutely fabulous. Attentive, charming, delightfully flamboyant. The drinks were well poured and the food was decent, with the exemption of the zucchini sticks. Don't order those. They are subpar. Go for the sweet potato fries instead. The performers were wonderful! Many well-trained dancers, humorous, dark, dramatic, and supremely sexy. They also featured all sorts of body types, a larger woman who could surely suffocate me with her plush breasts, women who were so devoid of fat cells I nearly pushed my food away and started doing push-ups, and a man! A tan, sculpted man in a cat onesie that looked exactly like a guy from our University back home in Hawaii because it WAS him. Surprise surprise. Nothing like seeing another alumni pouring milk all over himself and his rippling abdominals. That's special. So yes, spend a night in bed with the Red Hots. I will definitely be back the next time I breeze through the city with enough friends for a veritable orgy. And chocolate strawberries for all! read more

As the hostess of RHB, developer of talent for the show (via the School of Shimmy!) and a talented performer herself, these shows wouldn't be half as entertaining as they are without her ability to instantly engage with an audience and make them laugh (or anything else she wants!). The shows themselves are really special. El Rio is a friendly, tiny bar, and the show time (around 8pm on Wednesdays and Fridays) is perfect for those of us who love to go out, but ALSO love getting home at a reasonable hour! The talented ladies of RHB never, EVER fail to impress.Burlesque performance really is a gutsy thing to do, given that its success absolutely depends on the strength of the connection between the performer and the audience. That's part of why its so beautiful, though -- because even though you're an audience member, you *know* you have a meaningful role to play, that your behavior/encouragement/reactions have a real impact. Its an intimate, open & creative experience shared with several dozen strangers -- very freeing for everyone involved, if you ask me. First of all I want to say that the deal 2 for $20 (reg $40) is not a deal at all. The regular price is $10 per person, but $5 would let you in as well. DO not expect a classic burlesque show, it is a weird drag show and all they do is grab their crutch. To be honest they don't have very good energy and don't make people comfortable at all. I appreciate any kind of performance so I give it 2 stars but to be honest you can have a better time to just have beers in the bar avoiding the show. read more

Whenever I'm having a terrible week or feeling like I'm hating all the craziness adulting has to offer, I go to a Red Hot Burlesque show on Friday and it makes me feel so much better! The Pink Bubble is an amazing place to recharge and be reminded of the awesomeness SF has to offer! Always a wonderful show! Never the same! I always leave incredibly satisfied and eager to return! I've also attended a night at the Supper Club and that was so. Much. Fun. I loved the idea of the beds and it made the whole show that much more entertaining and comfortable. Plus there was an amazing aerial act that made my jaw drop! I can't speak more highly of this show, the people that perform, and the overall experience of seeing such talent and acceptance. What a fun place! Took the bestie to San Fran for her birthday and we decided to come to this burlesque show. I loved how small the place was, in the back of a chill bar. And the fact that they are very interactive with the audience! All of the performers were fun, especially the OLD lady!!! She was literally like 80 something!! :) Rocked it. She had EXCELLENT follow-up which I value tremendously! Fasten your seat belt peeps, here we go: This show was at Supperclub. I did not realize this when I made the reservations. At first I was kicking myself, which quickly ended when we got there. The decor changes with the current dinner show. Weird Science was debuting the next evening. there were lots of technology, science, skull decorations. I liked it. Downstairs we sat on BEDS! We had a tray with Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries!!!! I am not a Champagne person and it was good, we got another round! We got TWO hours of Burlesque!!! I appreciated that the show was comprised of women of all sizes, shapes and a transgendered Goddess. A+ for inclusion!! There was so much talent! VERY entertaining. Among the performers: Alotta Boutte, Harvest Moon, MissRahni, and Josie Starre and many more! AAAND: my beloved won the raffle and decided to contribute to the Dixie Evans fund! In the club room there were images of fire being shown on a big screen (LOVED IT). The menu offerings were few, and exceeded my expectations. The burger sliders were JUICY! This show was FABULOUS! It had a little bit of everything...a little drag, a little burlesque, and a LOT of comedy! I was laughing nearly the entire time. I loved how every performer put his/her own spin on their act and just got up and rocked out. The fun and funky vibe of the bar and the performers immediately put the audience at ease, and made for a great night. Went to the Friday night performance at El Rio with a gaggle of lady friends. Our group consisted of both single twenty-somethings and suburban, married thirty-somethings. Everyone totally loved the show. We Barted in, El Rio was a totally doable walking distance from the 24th Street station. We bought the Yelp deal, which was a good move. $10 per person and saved seats, worked out great. The Red Hot Ladies were exactly that Red Hot. Nice shape, pretty and voluptuous women. There was a performing from the UK, another from Singapore. HOT HOT HOT. The feature of the month was very good, forgot her name tells you what I was doing. These ladies have been perfecting their craft for awhile, it shows up in the performance. Didn't buy tickets so we stood up, which was okay. we were able to see just fine. The price of admission was real cheap, drinks were on-point. We had a GREAT TIME. Having been to a few burlesque shows (Vegas and London), the most I can say that with the exception of their leading act, this was more of a burlesque parody at best. It was funny to some extent, and some girls were hot, but others were just not pleasant to look at. It lacked the artistic flare for most of the acts, just take your clothes off in a minute or two, flash the breasts (and some cottage cheese) and walk off. Perhaps I was expecting the same caliber show I got before (the Vegas burlesque club was awesome) or maybe it was an off night. But overall it was more of a "meh" than a "wow" experience. read more

Fantastic show with titillating and talented performers! My fiance and I attended a Wednesday showing for his birthday and we ended up having such a wonderful & entertaining time. The show was extremely body-positive (performers of all ages and different body types) and imbued with a strong sense of fun and whimsy. The host, Dottie Lux, was perfectly naughty & commanding. Staff: Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Kiki was our server and she was extremely attentive and also very patient with the very drunk and obnoxiously loud group that was seated near us. Decor & Accommodations: We purchased the VIP package with bed seating and chocolate-dipped strawberries. The beds were very comfortable but you are basically in bed with your neighbors, so it may be worth it to go on a Wednesday, when it's not quite as crowded. The venue was clean and modern--overall, a very nice set-up. Food & Drinks: The drinks were nice and strong, and the bartenders were great. The food was okay--my fiance liked his garlic noodles but I did not like the sliders (I did enjoy the sweet potato fries though). Honestly, the food felt a bit overpriced for what it was. That being said, the molten cookie with ice-cream was so incredibly good. Performers: Most of the performers were truly wonderful and balanced the eroticism/sensuality of their performances with a good amount of silliness. Standouts included the performer with the crochet dress, the performer with the hula hoops, and Rasa Vitalia. Tips: Again, Wednesdays are good if you want less of a crowd. The beds were far more comfortable than the seats. Try to get there early so that you can request a bed with a full view of the stage (some of the beds do not have an optimal view of the stage). This is a review for booking the Red Hots to perform at a private party. I threw a pretty rad bash for my 35th birthday and wanted to do something different. I had three of the Red Hots come perform and it was worth every penny. I loved it, my guests were thrilled, and it just raised the level of the night from fun party to *event*. The Red Hots are 100% professionals when it comes to booking an organizing. They make it easy. The way it works to book is shoot them an email from the website or call them. Lux will explain everything and help guide you as to how many performers you need and for how long, what the cost is, and what additional options there are. You make a deposit for the show, and pow right on time they show up for the event, and are ready to take over and make the party rock. Make no mistakes, these girls are not "pros" in any way. They are not strippers, they are performers and artists. Book them for a performance and your party will be excellent!
