The pastry chef visited our table to describe & present a superb selection usually offered with dinner but graciously offered upon request for our lunch. We loved the room, decorated like you were staying in a cabin/lodge in the middle of the forest. The goodies and supplies that awaited us were a really nice touch - thank you! Location? The kitchen is spacious and stocked with high quality utensils and appliances, but also offers plastic cups, bowls, plates, etc. for popcorn and the children. There are two full bathrooms with plush, white towels. The master bedroom has a comfortable, king-sized bed, plenty of dresser and closet space, a gas fire place, a wet bar, extra large screen HD TV, vaulted ceilings, and sliding glass and screen doors on both sides of the room, leading out to a gazebo on one side and an 8 person hot tub on the other. The other bedroom on the main floor has a queen bed and tasteful decor, with plenty of closet and drawer space. The dining room table comfortably seats 8 to 10 and the living room is warm and cozy, featuring another huge HD TV and gas fireplace. There is a washing machine and dryer and the stairs lead up to a loft which can comfortably sleep 4 to 6 kids. There's plenty of room for them to play, as well as, view videos. From the loft is a pathway leading to a lovely outdoor viewing area! You simply cannot beat the views of the Smoky Mountains from any side of this house! Our Aunt stayed in one of the two adjoining apartment units and she not only raved about the fact that she too had a washer and dryer, but that she also had a gas fireplace, large flatscreen TV, adjoining door to our unit (which can be used optionally) -AND- that her view was also astonishing. There are many places to sightsee and enjoy river views, most notably hiking short to moderate length distances to see local waterfalls. And know this - though I'm sure you'll come with the plan to unplug or at least use electronic devices less frequently than usual, the guest wi-fi works great, even in these mountains, and the TVs feature many viewing options. Yep! We'll be back for sure.

We were greeted in the most friendly way imaginable, given a tour of the property, and walked to our spacious room. There was a heater in the bathroom ceiling! The breakfast was plentiful with one hot item and various fruits and bread, yogurt, coffee and juice. The owner greeted me by name every time he saw me. It may not be the fanciest spot I've ever seen, but it's truly operated with love and I felt welcome and at home. The beds were amazing! One thing I'll recommend, which wasn't even an issue with me since I started doing this long ago.. if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. You can faintly hear noise outside or in adjoining rooms, so if you're a super light sleeper like me, you'll appreciate having them. It wasn't loud or rowdy, I'm just awakened by a change in temperature.
