The showers we're usually clean and they are cleaned regularly. The campsites are good. Lots of tree coverage making it nice to have some privacy at your site. There are flush toilets scattered about. Well lit. Which is good and bad. Bad re: attracting bugs and good because night time is pretty dark. This campground has water and dump sites. It's usually a busy campground so depending on when you're coming or going the line ups will be what they will be. Great walking trails. Bikes are good too. Not for every trail, but given skill levels ... Just don't be silly. The townsite is a good distance of a walk, but if you're wanting to be outdoors this is a good thing to do. I mean, the townsite does have ice cream.

Downstairs has a bright & functional living room / dining room with lots of board games to choose from, record player, TV with Netflix, fast wifi, and Bluetooth speaker. The modern rustic decor offers lots of seating, including a large pullout sofa. Free breakfast croissants were available for us with cheese and bottle of wine. A must stay in sylvan lake!

My wife and I visit this campground most every year and, in the past, they have been wonderful. This year is a very different story. The campground is still very nice but it is not well managed and very disorganized. The people running this place also do not return telephone calls. Our initial contact this year, beside the telephone call that was not returned, was by telephone. My wife spoke with someone who was extremely grumpy and unhelpful. We are only here this trip because we were unable to make other arrangements and this is the closest campground to my wife's parents place. The check-in process was a complete gong show. The lady who was helping us was not at all familiar with the computer and we were initially directed to a stall that was already taken. This was fixed quickly by someone other than the person who originally checked us in. We had paid for 5 days. On morning #2 the managers came around to ask when we were checking out. They seemed surprised when I directed them to the tag in the window of the truck that indicates we paid for 5 days. Lions Campground is quiet though very disorganized. This place is no longer our first choice for campground in Red Deer.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly. There was nothing in the room that was noticeably dirty or broken. I'd stay here again. Lots of food shopping within walking distance, i.e. restaurants, connivence stores, and grocery. The hotel has included breakfast with hot foods. I was not really happy with how the boiled eggs were stored, but I just avoided them.

I broke my wrist while I was out during our one night stay and was at the hospital all night till 7:30am, they were very accommodating allowing us to have a check out at noon instead allowing us to get some sleep before we drove for home, as we were passing by the front desk after we grabbed a little bite from the nice breakfast bar, we were informed the front desk lady took initiative to speak with the manager who said to let us check out at 1pm instead. Very helpful and caring place and staff who have no problem laughing with the silly jokes that slip out.

We hymned and hummed but quickly came to the conclusion that our family for the first time would golf. We walked into the club house and were immediately greeted with open arms by the staff. My partner, Karen, and our children waited in the car as daddy got everyone clubs and carts. Daddy even snuck a few beers in the bag without Karen knowing. That was my only victory that day. We began to golf. It was a long 9 holes but Sally, my daughter, was surprisingly good. Even the players behind us were cheering her on. I think the gentleman's name was Brennan. He was a member which surprised me because every time I looked back he was shooting his ball out of the rough and tall grass areas. Anyways, It was a joyous experience and my family now loves golf. We had a blast. Thank you Meadow Lands for being part of a great memory.

It was the cheapest hotel we could find, it was late, and my friend and I were very tired. But let me tell you, when we stepped inside, this place was VERY nice! It was updated with a whole kitchen and kitchen appliances. The beds were so comfortable, almost like a foam mattress but not too soft. The tv was hung on the wall where both the 2 beds could see clearly. The bathroom was clean (kind of small) with plenty of towels for my friend and I.Whole kitchen with dishes, and mattress that were very comfortable. They had good strong wifi that I didn't need to pay extra for. If you can stay here, I know from the outside it looks very worn down, but I Promise you will not be disappointed!!!

For the waffles they had powdered sugar, syrup, sprinkles, strawberries, and whipped cream! Tea, coffee, juices, no water though. The free wifi was great and easy to use. The staff are super nice, friendly, and helpful. I would totally stay here again, it's probably my favorite hotel overall I've been to on my cross country road trip.
