He had it for a while and fixed trhe headphone jack and pretty much restored it for an amazing price. When I went to pick it up I left another receiver there a 1973 Rotel that needed a transitor and Capacitor replaced after its first servicing here in 2019. Both are working like new now after barely working at all. Amazing price for the amount of work done, he even mentioned that he spent nearly 2 days cleaning out the volume knob that was all crackly when raising or lowering the volume. Crazy ( I paid for it ! ) Anyway, that was years ago and it had been in storage ever since . It was new when he broke it so I figured why not see if it could be fixed. I looked around at possibilities, and saw good reviews for Firefly. They were close ( located across from Waterfront station in the Harbour Centre ) I tried to get an online quote on their Yelp page, but it wasn't working. I emailed them, and was told to come down in person. I went to the shop. It was easy to locate, and very clean and organized. I didn't have to wait, and I explained the problem. I didn't get an exact quote, but was told it should be around 60$. I told him I didn't care about what it looked like, as long as it turned on. I also told him to let me know if it was going to be more then 60$ I got an email the next day saying it was ready to be picked up. I replied asking what the total was, but I just went In rather then wait around. It worked like a charm, as I tested it out. He had made a custom power button that was cute and actually looked better then the stock one. The total was around 67$ with tax. Fast, friendly, efficient service. I will be back !

The lady was extremely courteous even when I was calling frequently to check on the status of the repair. They had to close due to the coronavirus but made sure that I got my drive back, and didn't charge me anything despite all the hours they put in. I managed to recover a portion of the data myself with a software I purchased, but I'm grateful for all they did for me.
