I have a husband for relaxing massage. 2nd if you have never had a Thai massage you don't know what you are missing! Start with the Thai oil massage so it's not too much too fast. They really focus on your pressure points and stretch you out! It's relaxing with a bit of pain- but the good kind of pain- where you know your body will be grateful later. It's like deep tissue massages cousin that's cooler. A traditional Thai massage is not for the faint of heart but once again amazing if you have major knots! They basically do yoga with your body for you pulling you this way stretching you that and ya they walk/crawl on your back! By the end of either the traditional or the oil Thai massage you will be awake and your body thanking you for finally putting it back in the right places.. it might even pop a lot to communicate that ! Hell, I don't even own a yoga mat. Given this attitude, the Bristo Yoga School suits me fine. Classes are cheap, drop-in, and may be as small as four or as big as twenty depending on who turns up. Here, you can do fun stretching followed by even more fun relaxing without feeling obliged to immerse yourself in the nuances of Indian philosophy, or the difference between Iyengar, Hatha and Ashtanga (which I have never understood). Nor, in the classes I went to with Lisa, was I ever expected to perform any extreme poses, such as standing on my head, balancing on one little finger and such, which came as a great relief. I suspect (in fact I know) that more serious practitioners would be less impressed by the casual set-up of the Bristo Yoga School, but it's perfect for people me, the Sunday drivers of yoga.

Meadowlark has an excellent range of classes for everyone from beginners to daily Mysore classes. The studios are light, warm and clean. The changing rooms are a little small if the class is full and everyone is using them but most of the time it's fine. I have found all the teachers and reception staff to be friendly and welcoming. For me the studio is just a little too far out the way for both home and work for me to do more classes here but it's certainly one of the places I'd recommend for trying yoga. They are opening another studio in March and I'm looking forward to trying aerial yoga in it.

This morning I called to book a BIAB nail application and a pedicure, just like the photo I sent …read more They said, "Sure, we can do that." The lady spent about an hour on my nails, but she didn't clean my cuticles properly. I asked her to make them look clean, but she barely touched them. She applied two layers of clear base and then two layers of a nude milky shade -- which looked nothing like what I had asked for. The result: bulky gel around the cuticles, uneven application, and one nail that wasn't even shaped round. When I pointed out that one nail looked off, she said, "Your finger isn't even." Her command of English was poor, which made it hard to explain what I wanted. I skipped pedicure cause I expected it will be a disaster. Since I had to rush to another appointment, I left but later called back to complain. I explained that I was unhappy with the result and that this wasn't BIAB. The man I spoke to told me to come back so they could redo it. When I returned, I explained again that the nails were bulky, uneven, and nothing like what I had asked for. They didn't seem to understand me, and he said, "She did a good job. I can remove it if you like, but we don't do BIAB color." I was shocked -- why didn't they tell me that in the morning before taking the booking? In the end, he removed the top layer, told me to wash my hands, gave me back my money, and left me with cracked, unfinished layers still on my nails. They weren't cleaned, smooth, or wearable. Overall: a complete waste of time, unprofessional, misleading, and the worst nail experience I've ever had.
