So let me start by saying this is my first tattoo. I have no previous experience. You can see all of the artists works on the walks and it was open and welcoming. There was AC and it just all felt very breatheable in there. You can see everyone getting their work done and it's honestly great. It was so so clean. Everything is unwrapped in front of you and sanitation is the number one priority. My artist was Jazmine Santiago. And holy sh**, I couldnt have been more lucky. First of all, my tattoo was a complete Walk-In. No appointment. But i came in for my consultation and showed her the work I wanted done. She had another appointment for another tat but she was generous enough to fit me in the best she could because it was my birthday. She was super nice and welcoming. And she was so efficient with the work. She did everything in a little under 2 hours, but that included a break. The line work is great and its exactly what I gave her. Line work is so important when picking an artist and I couldnt have been happier with it. Overall my tattoo was $200 but that included tip. Originally $160 My girlfriend is coming in a few weeks to get her work done and I will definitely be coming back.

I've been craving new ink for a while now, and my retirement seemed like the perfect event to celebrate. I met Josh and showed him my ideas. He recommended one over the other, and we were off to the races. Long story short, the shop is impeccably clean, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is absolutely chill. Josh is an amazing artist who was able to improve on the design I originally wanted. I highly recommend Skintonz in general and Josh in particular. I got my first tattoo there. i was 17. i absolutely loved getting the tattoo, but after further…read moreinspection, there are areas of blowout and some areas that werent done enough. the tattoo was a little out of my price range, but i still think it was fair. i also got my nose pierced there. i had told the piercer that i had it pierced before and he said it was fine to redo it. the piercing was bleeding quite a bit. i love my piercing, but he actually hit my lip with the needle during the piercing. artist didnt say anything about it and i didnt want to make a scene. i genuinely love my tattoo and piercing, but if you want to come here, dont expect the very best. the artists dont work out of the same building they did before, but i still recommend doing a lot of research before getting any work done.

I asked Junior if he was able to replicate the water color effect. He assured me that he could. He also assured me that he could replicate my grandmother's handwriting (this was a special tattoo for me). I can honestly say that he could not deliver what he promised. I walked out with a garbage tattoo. When I left my honest review on Yelp, Junior was defensive, rude and even more arrogant than when I met him in the shop. I wanted to be sure to update my original review. I went to Joe at Tattoos by Mastle in Akron. I brought the same pic and asked him if he could fix my tattoo. He said he could. And I think the photos speak for themselves! I am thrilled with the work he did, it is exactly what I was hoping for. He even remedied the hand writing as best he could, I love the look. Joe was awesome to work with, super easy to talk with and his pricing was very fair! Joe is a super chill, very down to earth person. If you are looking to get a tattoo any time soon, I very highly recommend you check out Tattoos by Mastle and stay out of Gypsy Moth Tattoos.
