Ryan Jones Construction and Remodeling LLC recently completed a total remodel of our kitchen and…read moredining area in our Oconomowoc home, and we truly can't say enough about the positive experience and absolutely gorgeous results! Lorie Couperus, Lead Designer, did an outstanding job taking all of our ideas and incorporating them into a beautiful, functional design. We pretty much knew what we wanted, but Lorie was wonderful about guiding us through the process and offering suggestions and ideas whenever we needed a little help making decisions. Ryan and his carpenters were also fantastic to work with. Having them in our home for two months could have been stressful, but they were talented, considerate, respectful, and excellent communicators throughout the entire project. As with almost any remodel, unexpected structural issues came up, but Ryan and his team handled them efficiently and professionally. We especially appreciated that Central Block Kitchen & Design was truly a one-stop shop. Having the design, selections, and construction all coordinated made the entire process so much easier. We highly recommend Ryan Jones Construction and Remodeling and Central Block Kitchen & Design for your next building or remodeling project! We couldn't be happier with how our kitchen and dining area turned out, and we are absolutely loving our beautiful new space! Thank you, Ryan, Lorie, Jeremiah and Michael for making our vision a reality!

DJ and Chris did a much needed repair and remodel to fix the destruction of our 1915 house bathroom…read morefrom our earlier debacle with Allen Kitchen and Bath. On The Level did the demo and retiling, working with Milestone Plumbing. They are much in demand, so it took a couple of months to get them in, but part of the delay was supply chain problems with the shower pan and a little incompetence from The Tile Shop, and some miscommunication with Milestone. None of this was Chris and DJ's fault, they are honest, skilled, hard workers, and even friendly to cats even when they are interfering with their work. They are clean and considerate, very professional, recommended by other contractors. When they first gave us estimates (time and money) they were very cautious to mention all the things that could go wrong and might result in a less than ideal finish. And yet, they also confidently said, "Oh we're going to make it right, and we're going to make it look good." Well, the actual work, once started, took a little less time than they said, and it doesn't look good, it looks absolutely great. They aren't shy about showing you exactly what they are doing, and yes, they did it right. Not that I know that much about bathroom walls and tile installation, but thanks to the shoddy work done originally by Allen Kitchen and Bath, I do know how to NOT do it right. On the Level are worth every penny, and probably twice as much as they actually charged. I've learned the hard way, when you need home remodeling work done, you don't want the lowest bid or the first available. You want the best, and these guys are the best. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100054269708295

When we first moved in, there was nothing on one wall and we really needed some storage. I picked Bertch cabinets, which are beautifully made, and wanted a pantry cabinet with another base and wall cabinet beside it. Peiricks came to measure and had to figure out a way to deal with the crooked walls. They also determined that I could get a longer cupboard in next to the pantry cupboard. Bigger is better when it comes to storage in my kitchen! Mr. Peirick installed the cabinetry and even cleaned up. Mrs. Peirick came the next day to inspect. Everything turned out perfectly and I am 100% pleased. Shortly after, I wanted to replace the other cabinets in the kitchen and Mrs. Peirick took into account what I wanted and did a design, which looked pretty good. I asked a few questions about modifying it and she again did a design. Both came out to take measurements and then we ended up having to remodel another part of the house, so these plans are on hold, but I hope to do this part soon. I found both Peiricks a delight to work with. They are both experienced and knowledgeable when it comes to kitchen design and this was the first time I've had a carpenter actually leave the space clean. What a joy! Their prices are reasonable and I am looking forward to getting the rest of my kitchen done.

My husband and I should have run when we first went to this place of business, to find a note that…read moresaid they had gone to pick up their kids from school and would be right back. When the owner came back to work, she was far from grateful for the business. We told her what we wanted to do, how much we could spend. From there, as soon as she realized she wasn't working with an unlimited budget, and that she would have to actually teach us and tell us about our options, her attitude became worse. There was a lot of eye rolling and condescending tones. When her husband showed up to install cabinets and counters it was equally as awkward. He explains how he will install things, and how nice it will look when finished. Proceeds to put on a death metal radio station (no big deal, but a little odd). When the project is finished, there are screws sunk uneven in the back of the new cabinets. Some screws got away from them and scratched the back of the cabinets. Some of the ends that they had to cut were just bare wood and didn't match the cabinet color, so they colored the ends with a stain that was not the color of the cabinets. Some of the wooden border boards that they cut splintered and were left that way. Just shoddy and thrown together. We really like the flooring business that Peirick's shares their building with, and wanted to stay with a local business- especially because they are a younger family. When we think about further work on our kitchen or other cabinet or bathroom work, we will not be going back to this place.
