A quick Google search and a bit of research told me that Mike's Seamless Gutters was the place to call. I found his website and filled out the form for an estimate. Within minutes he called me and pulled up photos of my house on Google Maps and was able to give me an estimate. I let him know that I also wanted gutter guards as well. He told me that he could get to it in about two weeks (which was WAY quicker than I had anticipated). A few days later he called and told me he could do it now. Mike and his assistant showed up right when he said he would and they immediately got to work. Withing a few hours I had beautiful new gutters on my home. Mike said that the gutter guards would arrive in a couple of days and they would come out and install them. Sure enough, while I was away, they came out and finished the job. He left an invoice for exactly what his estimate was and I still think it was the best bargain around. Here's my take on Mike and his company. It is rotting in place, I believe the sign was at one time (many years ago) an advertisement for what was to be an extension of the Collie Ridge subdivision. The Hundman name was on the sign, but was painted over at some point. The only visible name on the sign is Don Franke with an out-of-date phone number. I have to say, without a doubt, DJ's Painting & Remodeling Services was absolutely the most professional and the most comprehensive estimate that we received. We still need to make a decision about going forward with having the house painted, but I can tell you this, whether we have it painted or not or when we have it painted, we will absolutely be going only with DJ's Painting & Remodeling Services. The owner came out looked at the house, took his time, asked many questions (this house was built in 1870 and an addition was put on about 35 years ago so there was a lot to consider) spent time photographing, and was very interested in helping us with this unique house. The next day I got a call from his office to set up a date for us to come back in and go over the estimate; the best I've gotten from any of the others was an email to estimate or a phone call saying they were interested. We attended the estimate meeting, and were greeted by the staff who were all wonderful and nice, the office is very professional, and we met with the owner himself to go over the estimate. There was one for each my wife and I, along with an assistant to help us look at photographs and pictures as well as even a few color options when going through the estimate. The estimate came in right about where I thought it was going to be, and a little higher than my wife thought it was going to be, but I feel absolutely certain, just based on the experience so far, that they would do an amazing job painting our historic home! We received a follow up call about a week later, and I let them know that we were still looking at timing. So far I have been so impressed with their professionalism, how well their office runs and is managed, The jobs that they were able to show us they had already completed in the area on similar homes, and their commitment to the Bloomington and normal area and it's history, including their office building.
