It gives the church a sense of monumentality in the landscape. It has been built beside an underground welcome center. Architecturally, it is nice and kind of original. Great work by BCDM Architects. However, for me it was quite contradictory. I arrived there on a Sunday at 11 am, hoping to find a community there welcoming travelers; which was the kind of message that is ambiguously stated in its website. Nothing of that. The church is literally surrounded by scaring NO TRESPASSING signs, literally everywhere. I was really scared of being shot for being in proximity to this accumulation of negative signs. It really felt like being close to the home of a member of the National Riffle Association. It is funny how people claim to be loving and welcoming while creating a wall of threats; and claim generosity while dedicating all efforts to protect their property. You cannot serve both God and properties. That is the Gospel's mandate, right? Someone online claimed this to be an artifact to raise money. That'd be more consistent with what I saw, than the "we welcome..." message on their website.

I wasn't a huge believer before I started going but joining some groups and attending service with friends, it has made me realize that some things are larger than me and that there is more out there. Maybe I'm brainwashed but if so, I'm happy and will continue to support "my church" and actually look forward to Sunday mornings! Pastors and volunteers are all wonderful to me and are there whenever I need to speak to someone. Love CP!
