I showed several bible scriptures saying this is an Old Testament law not for us because we are no longer under the law and this was food and livestock given to the priest so they could give to the widows, children, and aliens that came into the land. Plus, in Revelation 22:18, and 19 says not to take away from the word or add to the word, you are taking a food tithe and changing to a money tithe. No money exchanged hands in scripture here. 3 days passed he never called me like he said. i emailed the church with about 20 different scriptures explaining about the food tithe. 4 more days passed on Sunday morning about 8 AM he texted me saying myself and the pastoral staff feels i should not visit his church no more. The work you are doing is of the Devil etc. I approached several other churches and explained this to them. They all accepted it. This guy is afraid i will destroy his cash cow. What a swindler. Who swindled millions of dollars from the congregation to buy a jet airplane costing millions of dollars? Because we are hearing Bible truth we leave church feeling enlightened, encouraged, motivated, and yes, even convicted sometimes. My wife and I are in the Bible everyday, not just on Sunday, so our church experience (teaching, fellowship, prayer, ritual, etc.) must all line up doctrinally, and thus far they do. I am shying away from critiquing anything else about Crossroads for that would likely be reflection of what we 'want' in a church as opposed to what we 'need' in a church. I would also add that we started attending Crossroads in the midst of the China Virus, which has affected all things fellowship related. Currently we DO meet indoors with certain precautions. Take away: the pastor is well versed and knowledgeable and the Word is going forth in this place.
