Superior had a competitive price, but it was the way they handled the bid process that sold us. Matt was knowledgeable and very unsalesman like. He didn't pressure me or make a hard sale and was patient while we decided how to move forward with this very major project. He just patiently and efficiently answered every question either in person or over text and email. Alanna in the office was great at communicating throughout - from start to finish. She confirmed our appointment for the bid, even sending me a picture of Matt beforehand so I'd know who to expect, then sent me many informational guides, forms, receipts, etc. throughout the process. She never missed a beat and was so understanding and helpful while I tried to choose paint colors - helping out where my colorblind husband could not! Our house turned out to be a rotten mess with no insulation beneath the original siding, and Matt and his crew really problem solved to help us get it fixed without going too far out of our budget. They made it manageable. When we decided how to move forward, they got it done quickly and correctly. It turned out to be a much bigger project than we expected, but our house is in such better shape now, and we've already noticed a difference in our electricty bill. Matt always caught things on walkthroughs that we didn't and made sure his crews came back to fix them, ensuring every detail was done right. They got our house looking so great. I was looking at bids from multiple companies, and SES stood out as one of the most competitive on price -- but what ultimately won my business was their flexibility and great communication both with me and between the various roles within the company. Artie was endlessly patient with my many questions during the initial discussion phase and showed flexibility and creativity in solving problems as we hammered out the plan for my exterior remodel. Both he and Matt (my project manager) showed a willingness to resolve my every concern to make sure I was happy with the result. When I interacted with the company office, both Michelle and Alanna impressed me with their clear communication and friendly demeanor. This really is a quality operation; they're honest and they stand by their work. The crew who came out to do the installation were amazing, showing that same level of professionalism and customer orientation. Mark, who headed up the installation crew on site, went above and beyond to make sure we had shared vision about trim and other details around some of the "quirky" places on my older home. Of course, the quality of the workmanship was excellent -- SES is an Elite Preferred Hardie installer, and it shows! -- but where they really shine is in their communication and relationship style. Both the siding installation and the painting were completed ahead of schedule, and the couple of small change orders we did were negotiated generously and in good faith. My wife and I recently worked with Clark County General Contracting to repair our bathroom after…read morediscovering water damage. Darrell, the owner, and his worker Nate were fantastic from start to finish. We originally noticed a bump in the bathroom floor that turned out to be a moisture issue. A mitigation company came in to remove the damaged flooring and toilet and dry everything out. After that, we started collecting quotes from contractors--and chose Darrell because he was by far the most straightforward and transparent. He took the time to explain everything clearly, gave us a fair quote, and didn't sugarcoat anything. Once we agreed to move forward, Darrell even handled communication with our insurance company and got the project covered. That alone was a huge help. The work itself turned out great. Darrell and Nate installed new subflooring, laminate that we picked out, and new baseboards. After the job was done, we did notice a couple of minor issues--one with the baseboard seal and another with the threshold transition that my wife wasn't happy with. Darrell came back out promptly and made sure both were addressed to our satisfaction. I've included some photos of the bathroom after mitigation and the finished result--the difference speaks for itself. Great company, easy to work with, and reliable. We're already considering another bathroom remodel, and we'll absolutely be going with Darrell again.

When we moved into our house a few years ago we knew the deck had to go. It was old and rotting…read moreaway. We had many estimates done but CCGC's was by far the most detailed. That and our comfort with Darrell made our choice easy. We made some big changes to our second story deck, so it took some time for a structural engineer to get plans in place but, the final product was well worth the wait. Darrell and Ed worked to make sure our deck was sturdy and well built. We now have an extended deck with awning that actually comes from above the roof line. The difference is night and day and we are thrilled with our new deck!

The previous design caused the balcony railing to dry rot the underlying structure. They designed an entirely new method of attaching the railing that would withstand weight and would not deteriorate under the rainy conditions of Oregon. They ended up needing to rebuild the entire upper balcony. It is now beautiful, strong and we are very happy with the result. Revive Works Remodeling did an excellent job at an excellent price. We would definitely use them again!

Pre-purchase inspection had shown the house would benefit from some structural and cosmetic work, principally due to its age, and the normal deterioration any wood structure is subject to. Alan Pierce thought through his bid carefully, and gave me clear advice, telling me what could and could not--realistically--be accomplished. This was accompanied by a fixed bid in writing. Payment was made in three parts, the final payment being made only when all work had been fully completed to my satisfaction. We went over the bid by just $400, a choice I made to do some additional strengthening work in one area. Alan and his team always arrived promptly, usually at 9am, and worked until 5pm, Monday - Friday. They worked to keep the property as clean as possible, and I was impressed that they followed proper Oregon DEQ safety practices. The project took about three weeks to complete. I was able to see first-hand the work Alan's crew performed, and felt that without exception they were excellent craftsmen who did careful and precise work. Alan also took before and after photos of all the work completed. Overall, I would unhesitatingly recommend Alan and his company Revive Works for residential remodeling. Both as individuals and as an organization, I found them knowledgeable, easy to work with and highly proficient. In a word, they were trustworthy, something which cannot be said of all companies operating in this field.
