This is my favorite plant shop in Dallas. What makes them unique is their passionate staff who all share genuine interest in what they are selling. Their knowledge of different plant types and how to care for them is extensive. I have come here for advice on a range of issues- fungus gnats, scale, unhappy plants- and they have helped me tremendously. I've found their advice to be better than any online search and spot on for reviving my distressed green friends. Please note: no chemicals here! Everything is all natural which is required for my house and my plant munching cats. I must say, their pottery selection is on point. Beautiful, unique, modern- they have a huge selection with many different shapes and sizes. All are Instagram worthy and inspiring. Also- I've never had any issue with the plants I've purchased here. I am a new garden addict, and it's great being such a "green" urbanite with quite a thriving garden during this unkind, hot, sizzling summer. The tips I got from Renee about liquid plant nutrients turned my clippings into transplants... and inside my houseplants are now ranging from bog plants like corkscrew rush, and vast succulent terrariums. This little shop is a local gem in the Lakewood area. The prices are about right for a small, specialty business in this area and they carry a variety of cute products at different price points. I picked up a small, rectangular planter for $19 and a small bag of cactus/succulent soil ($6.99) on my first trip here yesterday. I didn't get any plants this time around, but they seem to have a great assortment, including vegetables and succulents. The service was very friendly, and I am glad to support a local business over a big box store any day! read more

A long time ago this was called mother natures. If u didn't want to drive out to the suburbs, it was a decent supplier of plants. Now as the upscale haute "Redenta's" something has been lost, and what its gained is more fluff than substance. The gift items are overpriced. They do have a handy range of soil amendments though, and the plants are not cheap, but they carry a good variety. The managers are not user friendly.there also seems to be stress among the management...? Instead of embracing an educated consumer this staff is upity, and always out for the buck. No chat. Has to be one of the best Dallas has to offer. Small but quite well stocked with many varieties of plants and flowers as well as home gardening needs. I also buy Texas honey bee guild honey and bee pollen here. I will however give one bit of advice to store. With the influx of condos, lofts and high rise living in Dallas you do have the best resin planters, however give a gamble on stocking very large sizes. Special order is offered, but I can online order at home. No tax or shipping, short delivery time, but I really wanted to buy local. They have more unique plants than you can find at a lot of places and lots of succulents and cacti (my fav!) This little gem in the Lakewood neighborhood has an amazing variety of unique and native plant species for being such a small nursery. They are always getting in new and exciting merchandise from around the country and from lots of local vendors as well. With a modern design aesthetic, Redenta's still keeps in touch with the traditional gardening experience offering everything from sleek, stainless steel planters to quiant moss lined hanging baskets. Every time I go into the store, the inside of the store is changing with fascinating terrariums, teardrop glass bulbs hanging from rustic ropes, and even some great furniture pieces, antique and avant garde. They also have one of the best succulent and cactus collections in town. The staff is always creating unique succulent gardens in amazing planters and dishes, including some one of a kind pieces from pottery artists--all made in the USA!! The other great thing about Redenta's is that they are entirely organic! All of the products that they carry for plants or pests are 100% natural and organic. They have a wide array of herbs (like lovage, sorrel, comfrey, borage, patchouli and other hard to find varieties) and vegetables all of which are grown locally by independent nurseries--not the big box stores like Home Depot. They even have lots of herbs and vegetables planted around the store that the staff will let you snack on if you just ask--I DID!!! They usually have free classes led by very informative staff members covering a wide range of topics from perennials and butterfly gardens to vegetable growing and even worm composting. They are free and often times they even give away a free gift or a discount for those who attend the FREE class. Last but not least I wanted to give a big shout out to the staff! They are very well informed and really know what they are talking about. They are always friendly and helpful and seem like they genuinely care about your gardening success. They are willing to plant up your pots for you if you bring them in, or help you select plants and containers for you to get creative with at home. Bucky has been at the store or as long as I can remember (at least 15 years) and several other staff members have tons of experience that they are more than willing to share. The staff here care about your garden and know how to help you. They go out of their way to get what you need and want and have the expertise to recommend plants for specific areas of your garden and work with you to diagnose problems and offer remedies for plants that may not be doing well. Bucky is a gem as are all his colleagues at the nursery. They guarantee their plants and I can't remember when a plant they recommended did not do well in my garden. I've been a customer for 13 years and I keep going back because they know quality and because they are so supportive of their customers. I do, however, wish they delivered large shipments. Neighborhood business in the heart of Lakewood, plants are a little more expensive but the location is great and the service is way above average. This is for sure my favorite nursery & gardening shop in Dallas. From my experience, this place has the best quality and one of the larger selections of succulents in the Dallas area. You can really tell that their staff does a great job of keeping these plants healthy before the consumer purchase and you can have confidence that you will be taking home a quality plant.
