The course has fallen greatly over the years. Up keep is Terrible, bunkers are not raked by the course and players. The course would be better to convert most of them to grass if they aren't affordable anymore. Cart paths are falling apart, all western Colorado courses would be better as gravel and maintained with a small grader for smoothness. The lay out of the course is great, views are unique and beautiful. There is work going on fixing wash outs etc and that's good to see but charging between $100 to 150 is way out of line considering current condition. I would only play there again if the rates drop well below $100. read more

Wow! What a beautiful course. The fairways are a bit narrow and if you shank your ball it's definitely a goner, off the cliffs somewhere. I personally lost more balls on this course than I have in a very long time. It was a bit too challenging for me, but a very experienced golfer would throughly enjoy it. Beginners will be very frustrated. I read a review from another yelper mad that the women's tee's were basically in the fairway, let me tell you if they weren't in the fairway, you'd loose your ball before getting it on the green. Prices are reasonable, we would definitely play there again if traveling through Grand Junction. read more

Great (but challenging) course! Some really amazing views, and lots of elevation change throughout the course. The staff was really great--I ended up getting myself in a bit of a bind on the course (drove my cart into the "Forbidden Zone") to where the cart wouldn't let me go forward, but reverse would've gotten me into a sand trap. Totally my bad, but the guys in the pro shop came to the rescue and we were able to "self-extricate". (And nary a word as to my transgression.) Later, I ended up forgetting a club around one of the greens, and couldn't find it. It turned up the next day, and once again it was the gents in the pro shop to the rescue--FedEx'ed it to me at no charge. So despite my best efforts, it ended up being a great (and memorable) experience. read more

Views are incredible and it's worth playing a round but nothing about this course made any of us think we should come back again. Plain and simple, too expensive for what you get. If you're a fan of slow rounds and gimmicky holes, you'll enjoy it. - $140 a round, include a small bucket of balls or just make it $145 and include it. Paying for balls at a course like Redlands makes it feel cheap. - $140 a round, we should not be playing hard packed bunkers. We just started dropping out of bunkers to not damage our clubs. Just plant grass. - Too many houses tight hugging the course. - Greens were very well kept but gimmicky slopes and roll offs. - Tee boxes were not very well kept and the elevated tees get old. read more

This is a true Colorado gem. The course itself is awesome and maintained very well. The staff is super friendly and the clubhouse has an awesome deck allowing you to enjoy the 19th hole. The price is fair and everything about this course will leave you wanting to visit again. read more

If I could give this one star I would. Don't bother trying to book an event here. You'll be greeted so unpleasantly by the front office lady. Furthermore you will be stood up for your SCHEDULED meeting with their events coordinator. Not worth it. Beautiful course with a mismanaged club house, proshop and restaurant - so much so that we have stopped frequenting. Most recently a birthday party where 3 weeks prior we reserved the simulator, it was wide open. The day of the party we are told they double booked a lesson at the same time and rather than bump the lesson, they bumped the party that reserved first (got to keep your pro happy). You have no idea how much money you walked away from (we were planning to eat, drink and spend several hours in the sim) not to mention future customers. Glad the pro got his lesson in we moved the party to Xgolf. read more

We booked a private event in their lower level room. The room is nice sized and has a small bar. There is also a nice patio you can access if it is not too hot. Bar selection is good and satisfied our guests. It did take several calls to confirm the room and menu as they do not seem very organized. Our server was great and worked very hard for our group. Our appetizers included a fruit platter that was excellent and a cheese / Charcuterie tray which had great cheese and meats with accompaniments. Food quality was average. The steak was cooked to order but the shrimp was cold and bland. The veggie blend was just okay but the potatoes were great. They do offer a few desserts. The bar/cookie dessert tray had great brownies and lemon bars but no one liked the cookies. They are hard and tasteless. I would book this again and create a more inventive menu. read more

Hands down the best course I've ever played. My husband and I played on a week day in early October and we had the entire course to ourselves. The price was unbeatable, only $50 per person and that included cart and range balls. Every hole has a breath taking view, not to mention amazing geology :) I also love that every hole has an elevated tee box, no matter what tees you play from. Whatever your skill level, make sure you play hole 17 from the tips....it's well worth the view and the experience, unparalleled! Can't wait to make another trip down to grand junction, just so I can play here! read more

Before I write this review, let me make something very clear. It is a great course with great condition, great layout, and great view. But only for men who don't play the forward tee. My husband liked this course a lot. Although the course is built in between houses, the houses do not affect your play much. The course is well maintained as well. However, ladies tee boxes are often on the fairway while men's are elevated like 100 feet off the fairway. For some par 3s, the tee box was literally right in front of the green! I did not even get to enjoy the view let alone the game. So MY review of this course is really poor, but if you ask someone else, he will probably give you 4 or 5 stars. read more

August 2018. 100 F. No water in the coolers on-course until #17. This was beyond careless and irresponsible, it was dangerous. The ugly decline of quality in what was once a terrific experience continues and appears to be accelerating. An amateurish attempt to blame it on various things and people was the best the pro shop could offer. No mention of a cost reduction, refund, etc. This sad circumstance coupled with a large hike in costs in the lounge resulted in our 4-some agreeing that this marked our last visit to this disaster. And we live here! By way of comparison, Tiara Rado, our local municipal jewel, last week had a gent on a cart roaming the course giving out free cold bottled water. Enjoy the $300+ we left you with Redlands; it'll not happen again. read more

Beautiful, majestic course! Gorgeous natural landscaping with sweeping views of architectural wonder. This course plays adventurous and fun and the greens are fast, today! I logged 104 stairs while my partner logged 164. It's a total work out! Each hole is unique and the views are fantastic! We had a great day! It took us five hours to play. Relaxed and fun. The Pro Shop is full of goodies! Excellent sections. Nice, friendly staff. We didn't stay to eat because there's a Cantina down the road that offers excellent fare. This review is for the clubhouse at Redlands Mesa. If you have any ideas about holding an event at this beautiful location, please beware the new management. Terri Boggs is literally the most unprofessional person I have ever had the misfortune to work with. Customer service is non-existent, and she is unable to answer even basic questions or return simple emails. Example: Terri refused to put anything on record or written into a contract. Terri would only conduct business via text message because, and I quote, "...it takes me hours to answer an email, and emails are more easily misinterpreted as opposed to verbal communication.". Terri Boggs is known for her ability to over-promise and under-deliver. (Her own words, spoken to us several times, almost like a badge of honor) Over the course of three weeks, Terri backed out of every verbal agreement she made with me regarding the catering of my wedding reception; even refusing to cut the wedding cake because she didn't know how. At the end we had the opportunity to work with another, different and far more professional, local event planner who had a menu, a venue, and a contract for us within an hour. When Terri Boggs tells you she has had problems with multiple brides and grooms in the past, who asked too many questions, who wanted to know about catering and costs: LISTEN to her!!! She freely admitted she is not a "professional event coordinator, catering manager, or wedding planner.". When we asked these same questions, she threatened to cancel on us with less than 10 days notice. If you dont care about professionalism, experience, customer service, or quality of product then this is venue for you! Buyer beware! read more

Don't let the beautiful view distract you from the horrendously poor service at the Redlands Mesa Golf Course Clubhouse 2325. I give one star for the view from the clubhouse and nothing else. The new clubhouse management, Terri Boggs, is the most unprofessional "event planner" I have ever the misfortune to meet. I attempted to use the Redlands Clubhouse for my wedding reception and in the end, we cancelled out of sheer terror of how poorly the reception might unfold and we used another venue in town with a real event planner. At the beginning, Terri said they could do anything and we came up an extensive reception menu, which she only wrote down on her phone. Her and her sister own Warehouse 25 and they kept trying to turn standard menu items into catering, and half the items they couldn't produce at the clubhouse, further limiting our menu options. At the last meeting to finalize our menu, almost all the non-standard items we were previously promised were cut from our menu and all we were going to get was fried bar foods. My impression was that they didn't want to bother with items that take any effort to prepare and they kept steering us towards pre-frozen items like chicken wings. Terri and her sister are also clueless when it comes to vegetarian foods; they wanted to only remove the meat from an item to make it vegetarian, as if a little rice and lettuce equals a satisfying appetizer. We asked basic catering and contract questions, to which Terri took as an affront, as if we should just blindly trust her with no written catering material, no written contract, no previous event photos and nothing but her word. She threatened to cancel on us only 10 days before the wedding when we continued to ask for catering details. She refused to be nailed down on anything in writing, which was evident when she said, "it takes me hours to respond to emails" and it was Terri's opinion that emails are misconstrued more than verbal communication (which any logical business professional would beg to differ). She refused to cut our wedding cake because she didn't trust that she or her staff could appropriately cut it. (What bride wants to cut their own cake or make a guest do it?!) Terri admitted she is not a professional event planner, wedding coordinator or catering manager. Terri repeatedly said to us that she doesn't like to "over promise and under deliver", which she said as if a badge of honor, when in reality it sounded like she encountered our same issues with previous brides and grooms who were also dissatisfied with her service. When we cancelled with Terri via text (because we knew she wouldn't respond to an email) she finally responded to the second text with a smiley face, as if she was happy to not have us as customers. The bottom line: Terri Boggs and Redlands Mesa Golf Course Clubhouse are extremely unprofessional, lack any and all customer service, and exemplified their lack of professional training on how to be an event coordinator. read more

Was in Grand Junction over a weekend and had made plans to play Redlands Mesa. This course what on my list of must-plays so I was excited even though the course was in late-winter condition. First and foremost - THE COURSE IS FANTASTIC!!! I can't remember a more enjoyable round. If you play the right tee box, the course is a great challenge but very playable and the scenery does not take a break on any hole. Maybe it was this time of year but there weren't many folks out on the course and pace was great. We finished in 3:45. The only reason I didn't rate this as a 5 star experience was the non-golf component. First, and this is my fault for not confirming, they don't serve breakfast. We arrived early only to find that the restaurant didn't open until 11:00. Was able to buy some peanuts and jerky in the proshop to tide us over. Next, we had a mid-morning tee time but since we weren't eating breakfast, we asked if we could start earlier since there seemed to be no-one starting. They told us to show up on the tee box at our scheduled time. 10 minutes later, I witnessed them sending a group out that just showed up without a time. We did get to start a little early but not sure why that wasn't an option when we initially asked. Lastly, we ordered lunch from the cart on hole 7. When we got to the clubhouse, they had not started the order. The staff were very friendly but we lost about 10 mins waiting for food. Although there weren't many groups on the course, we did lose our place and had to slot in in front of another group on the 10th box. I think with a couple of small improvements in management, this would be an absolutely world class experience. Hoping they were just having an off-day as I will definitely be back at Redlands Mesa. read more

The food must have been prepared by the groundskeeper. We both ordered the easiest dish there is to make - eggs and bacon. The potatoes were completely raw (some were cut 1 inch thick while others were 1/4" thick). The eggs ordered over easy had no free yolk. The toast was not even slightly browned, nor was it buttered. The bacon was rubbery and greasy; not the slight bit crisp. The only way to screw up everything on the plate like this is to have someone cooking that hasn't the faintest clue about food prep. We complained to the waitress who said, "Sorry, give us a try in a few weeks - we have a new cook coming. We've been operating without a cook". Yep, OBVIOUSLY. Nope, we won't be back. read more

Beautiful views and great layout of holes. Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Very playable from back tees with generous landing areas from tee. Bowled out greens allow for errant shots to come off as great shots but you must be ok with walking down to green and up to the cart. I like this course a lot as it has great value as a golf course and with exceptional views. The food was standard golf course type. Nothing special but ok after a round. Many flies in the dining room and something must be done. I must admit, no flies, and I would have rated 5 stars. Somebody get a fly-swatter! read more

Not the most professional people at the restaurant we called in reservation for 14 at 10:00 am and then ended up changing it to 11:00 both times we called they said no problem for 14 people half of them small kids. We asked serval times how long it would be and was given 5 or 10 minutes after 40 minutes we were told they didn't know how long it would be. They only had one table to seat 14(are you kidding ) and we would have to wait till those people left. Asked for manager, he was rude. Didn't care acted like pompous Said that if we talked to him he would of declined reservation didn't try to solve problem at all or address our concerns. We made advance reservations and were treated like "members" when we arrived. The staff was so nice - let us go off early, got us water, explained about some of the more intricate holes, and were just great. the course was in excellent condition when we played in early June this year. The views from the back tees were awesome. I played the blues and my wife played the whites for a really challenging and fun round. We can't wait to go back. read more
