The soup was refreshing and I really enjoyed it. The bread was good as well. One of the spreads was obazda dip which I love. I thought they made it ok. We started with the veal ravioli. They were tender and tasted pretty good. I had the restaurant special which was basically a chicken pot pie. I thought it was good but I've had better. I thought the chicken was over cooked and the capers inside was a bit off putting to me because there were so many and made the whole dish too sour for me. It was a bit off putting. My friend had the fillet with white asparagus and potatoes and hollandaise sauce. It was basic but I preferred her dish. The dessert had strawberry and tarragon I believe. It was well balanced, not too sweet, and I liked the herbs with the dessert. They also had a nice drink menu and a good variety of wines. They did not let us try the wine before pouring it which I expected since this is a nice place. Overall thought the service was decent but not great.

This particular Gashof is quite a large site with patio seating, an indoor restaurant, and then a fairly large biergarten with a play area for kids! This was where we did the rehearsal dinner for my little brother's wedding, and it was a great pick. As it was a remarkably warm and sunny day, the inside portion of the restaurant was closed, as was the patio (both which are super attractive to the eye) however, the biergarten was bustling with what felt like a majority of the town! There are a lot of really large trees that canopy the biergarten which keep it shady and cooler. The tables are smaller but can easily be pushed together which we did for our larger party. Chairs are a bit flimsy. The food is typical German cuisine. I found the gravy for my roladen was fairly salty, but the roladen itself was one of the best I ever remember having! (no offense mom!) We received mixed up salad which was fairly decent. There was something in there I wasn't sure what it is, but it wasn't good so I left that for my wife! I don't remember if she even ate that. Service was quick for our meals though there was a lot of confusion as to who ordered what but could be our fault since our large families spread out to different tables which I'm sure made this a bit of a nighmare to also breakout the bill. Sorry! All in all a fun and memorable experience.

A wonderful, fun place, very busy with locals and tourists! Service was top-notch! Decor and vibes were full Bavaria! We ordered a spritzer and beer, then dined on veal heart and traditional pork schnitzel. Both dishes came with potatoes, veggies, and a dark brown gravy. Delicious all! We dined next to a local, Alfred, and enjoyed great conversation during the meal. He was very helpful with the menu! Returning from a day trip out to Hop Fields and German Hop Museum we took a different street exit and popped out directly inside this Wirtshaus biergarten. Wunderbar! We were seated directly ... looking around we appeared to be the only tourists. They serve Paulander Beer, the wife had a Dunkel and I sampled 3 different 1/2 liters of lagers, daddy likes Paulander. The food is a full step above what is served over at Hofbrauhaus. I ordered the classic Sauerbraten and the wife had Paprikaschnitzel, which was by far the best Spicy Paprika Schnitzel we ever had. Very different style, bright red sauce, lots of of fresh red peppers and just the right amount of heat. A work of art! Ask for the Schnitzel to be breaded and fried extra crispy ... you can thank me later. The classic mixed desert plate was also on point. We stopped in a few days later and sat inside at the bar, watched the bartender tap a special wooden keg. He didn't even ask, simply poured us 2 Helles and brought them over.
