He installed a new kitchen faucet and fixed a leaking outdoor faucet for us. Leon really knows his stuff and was super easy to work with. He communicated everything clearly, didn't try to upsell me or add unnecessary charges, and actually took the time to explain things to me. He even showed me how to fix a few things myself instead of trying to upcharge me. He went above and beyond, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in his work. It's nice to find someone you can trust and feel comfortable calling again. I'll definitely be using Leon again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a good, honest handyman.

I had booked him for services to fix my toilet and install a garbage disposal. He had mentioned he was working another job at the same time and said he'll come back for the garbage disposal. He never did. He billed $270 total for 20mins of his time. I had expressed my concerns that the job was not done and asked if i could get a discount. He refused. Although i liked his work, he couldn't help to reduce the cost. I'll take my business elsewhere. We all get screwed over at some point i thought this guy would work with me but nope. Another story of a guy on his high horse screwing the small man over.

North Seattle Handyman - Kitchen sink had a leak underneath and needed to be repaired. They repaired the leak and the damaged wood.

I reached out to North Seattle Handyman and they had me scheduled in a week with a solid crew. Getting the bids and estimates sent over were really easy and they were awesome in finding a way to stay in my budget. When the day of came I got a phone call explaining some concerns that they had about the job and they offered multiple solutions. They were a little bit more expensive than some of the other companies I reached out to, but they differentiated themselves with their professionalism, prompt communication, and incredible quality of service. I'll definitely be hiring them again.

I recently dealt with a dishonest and unethical contractor, North Seattle Handyman Services. Peter…read moreis now the sole proprietor at NSHMS, but he resorts to dirty tricks. 1. Breach of contract - He promised me a "senior citizen discount," which he mentioned several times. A discount would be a reduction in the normal price. Without telling me or asking for my OK, he removed part of the necessary work from the contract. Yes, he reduced the price a very small amount, but removed some of the work that we had agreed upon. After I got mad, he created a new invoice to get this work done. Only, he added on much more money to the new invoice. There was no discount on anything. He lied. 2. No refund of customer deposits - On his computer system you pay "retainer fees" to get an appointment scheduled. He does not inform the customer that it is non-refundable. I paid on April 20, 2026 $284.67 and June 29, 2026 $276.38 for a total of $561.05. He pocketed the money and refused to refund it. 3. Exterior painting - On the second invoice he charged $600 and left 1/3 of the painting undone. I complained, and there was no response. 4. He broke one of my phone jacks, rendering it unusable, and made no offer to fix it.

The fails: 1) They slipped an unmentioned "travel fee" onto my first invoice after several rounds of communication about their price quote and what it included. I went over inclusions and exclusions so carefully on the phone with them; then got a bill for $40 more with no explanation. When I questioned it, they said "they forgot" to mention it. After some pressure, they removed it, but it took some pressure. 2) They sent a handyman to fix the cabinet but failed to tell him he was to assess, purchase parts and complete the job in one visit, as per our contract. He came prepared only to "give an estimate." He did stay and attempt to rehang the cabinet door. 3) His "repair," which he was prepared to leave as complete, was hanging the door without knowing how to install/adjust the hinge he had purchased properly, leaving it more crooked than before, and now overlapping the other cabinet door by a full half inch so the cabinet didn't close at all. Clearly, he did not know how to do what he was sent out to do, but the shocking thing was that he insisted he had completed the job "as best he could." The argument that ensued was not pleasant. He had his cell phone running throughout it with his home office - fortunately - so they knew we were not going to pay for this mess. Ultimately he removed the work he had done. We demanded the deposit refund from the company and the cessation of the project. Very unfortunate. We will never try their service again.
