Eric is amazing: he always has the right tools & is very knowledgeable about how to fix the problem.

The staff is nice and the apartments…read moreoverall are in decent shape, but they refuse to work with tenants on pricing and continue to raise our rent. We pay a whomping 2000 plus for a two bedroom two bathroom apartment, all the while the company who owns them, the Ackerman group, collected a huge 14 million dollars in revenue last year (over all their properties). While I understand that this is the market we live in, it is shameful to pray on others basic life needs to turn a MASSIVE profit. I spoke with the regional manager regarding this in hopes he would understand that we are living in unprecedented times and people can't afford this, but he basically told me I was shit out of luck. I will never recommend this place to anyone for the simple reason that there are people running this corporation (Ackerman group) that are consumed by nothing but sheer GREED. People are struggling to feed their families, let alone pay 2000 in rent for a tiny littler apartment, but they're still raising rent. It's shameful. It's sad that the empathy and human experience is lacking in todays world. No one cares about anything other than turning a profit on someone else's back. You're better off renting from a private owner. At least that way your money would go into a families pocket, not some rich executives that can't relate to the average American family struggling right now.

Another mentioned an issue with the bathroom door. You could not see into the bathroom when the door was closed in my 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. It was large, spacious, and had a great view of a horse farm. Yes parking is limited, as it is with any apartment complex. But they cleaned it quickly in winter and had as much visitor parking available as space would allow. And it is wide enough you should be able to get by a moving truck if it is pulled to the side or somewhat parked in a space. I had no issues while moving in or out. They addressed service calls quickly, and there were very few issues in my 2 years there. I agree Joyce is great. She is very helpful and how she remembers every ones name is beyond me. The pond by the pool is awesome if you have a little kid that likes wildlife. Ducks, geese and a huge fish that likes to hang out near the deck. It is quiet with good neighbors. I have no complaints with this apartment complex and certainly not with Joyce and the rest of the staff. If you don't mind a quiet town like Pataskala I highly recommend Catalina Club Apartments. Yes, it isn't perfect, but honestly I don't believe you will find any apartment complex that is. If you want high end, you are probably looking at double the rent. I have lived in 4 apartment complexes, mostly in different cities, and this one I would live in again if ever I move back to Pataskala. It is a great value for the price.

My family of 3 have been here for 19 months & this was by far one of the worst stops in our lives…read more The management is ridiculously unprofessional, claimed to have been getting a "remodeled" unit. Instead we had a smashed kitchen cabinet, mold under the kitchen sink, a flooded bathroom due to a leaking sink, mold behind the hot water tank in the utility room and so many more problems. The icing on the cake was when our ceiling almost collapsed due to a leaking pipe and it took maintenance and the plumber nearly ten days to address. Called the maintenance number provided & got cussed out by a woman who says her husband didn't work for the complex anymore. Nobody notified us of the change. Called another number that was given to me by LDR and left a detailed voicemail. After the detailed voicemail. I sent a quick text requesting him to contact me. The response I received back was "What'a so urgent that you couldn't put it in a text message." I had already left a voicemail at this point, explaining. Called management repeatedly and had nothing but push back and excuses. Just so unprofessional and unkFinally we are moving out of this dump. I do NOT recommend this complex for anyone who can avoid it. EDIT: I want to add that I am editing for the sole purpose that it's currently MIDNIGHT after the snow storm & the snow removal team was just here, AT MIDNIGHT, slamming shovels and uses snow removal machine. AT MIDNIGHT.

Here's the situation - I moved. New home, great, old home - we discovered some issues in selling,…read morelike _the main shut off valve was leaking_. And then we discover that the main water shut off OUTSIDE is messed up. I worked with Brandon who helped me figure out the steps I needed to do - 1. I needed to call the city and shut off the water. As no one was living in the house, I was cool with having the city come out and do it whenever (which lead to them redoing the water shut off as well - props to the City of Columbus Utilities!) 2. Once I had the water shut off (or scheduled) work with them to get on the schedule - I sent him photos of the issues at hand for an estimate to replace the main shut off AND ALSO the hot/water valves to the washing machine (that also decided to start leaking). Once the water was shut off, Brandon came in, did all the work (in a VERY cramped space - it's one of those old concrete water heaters). City came back, turned it on outside, came inside to review his work - and there was a leak in the cold water shut off - something that, you know, is kind of hard to test when the water is off. A quick call to the business and they had another guy out there to address the leak - and DONE! It took some time - I didn't push (aside from the day of - they have a four hour arrival window) aside from when it got close to the end of the four fours, and it seems EVERY plumber/plumber adjacent person I've talked to has been slammed recently (yay for them?). I'm glad they took my job. I like having a dedicated plumbing service that does a good job, deals with my irate ass, and has awesome plumbers. I hope to never need them again XD - but if I need a plumber, I know who I'm calling.

A clerical mix-up on the correct arrival time caused a minor delay but no tragedy. The plumber arrived in very good spirits & with very good customer relations began to diagnose the plumbing issue. After promptly solving one issue he began work on a secondary issue to replace a bathroom sink elbow pipe. Problem was, he had no correct parts on his truck. Issue #2 will be skipped. We were disappointed the proper part weren't loaded on a plumbers truck but again, no tragedy. Rates are competitive for the industry. The plumber to customer attentiveness, and verbal skills were well above average. No creepy weird guy shows up with plumbers butt, just a professional well spoken business man. Kudos guys!
