The "Sea Hunter" fishing boat and its crew was exactly what our group needed. It was a spacious boat with an air conditioned cabin and plenty of space for our group. We caught our limit of red snapper and a king mackerel, so the catching was great. The boat staff cleaned our fish when we returned to the marina, and we took quite a few fillets to Zeke's restaurant where they cooked them up for us; what an awesome feature!! Everyone loved the fresh fish and sides, and we did a few appetizers to round out the lunch. Give these folks a try, and I bet you will love them like we did!

Once we…read morefinally got to the place to start fishing we dropped our poles in the water and caught 1 fish instantly so fun! but then they said "roll them in we're moving" immediately after. We move to another spot and drop our lines down for 30 seconds before we have to reel back in because we're moving again. long story short the whole trip was like this we caught 3 fish total and only fished for 30 minutes total. the other 5.5 hours was driving around, seriously. It became quite clear the captain and deckhand were drunks who just wanted to get some money and drink. I have been deep sea fishing 15 times and fished from Oregon to Key West, Florida, and this was by FAR the very worst experience of them all. Do not recommend to anyone!!

Unlike some other sailing companies, we ACTUALLY sailed in the Gulf (engine off) and enjoyed the breeze and the views. As a sailor on Lake Michigan, Captain Randy let me take the helm of the 35-foot Beneteau for much of the sail. (THANKS, Captain!) He has tons of local knowledge and provided great information to our group. The boat was super clean - the topsides dazzling white and the woodwork varnish below deck looked wet it was so fresh looking. My only regret is that we did not book a longer cruise. Tom H. It was a little crowded if you were fishing on the sides of the boat. The captain did his best to put us on fish, and moved a number of times. All in all, it was fun and we each caught some fish. The mates were really good - they took your fish off, cut up bait, helped with tangled rods, cleaned your fish. If you can afford to charter a captain and boat, that would definitely be more fun. And I cannot imagine taking the 3pm fishing trip if it's July or August - it would be hotter than hell. But for the cost, this was fun. Definitely a well-managed operation.

This is probably the best charter as far as catching fish I've ever been on. There was 6 of us. My mom, dad, wife, son, and daughter. Jason was great to be on the boat with. Always kept us in action and we constantly had bites even though we missed half of them. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the price seemed a little higher than what we had hoped. It was what they told us it would be though. Boat was super clean and Capt Perry was nothing but 100% professional. We caught this little guy (can't remember the name) and Perry took a pic of him saying he was lost and about 30 miles from where he should have been.

His boat is clean and well maintained. His gear is also very well maintained. He knows the waters he fishes and knows his fish. Using live bait and light tackle, we all had a blast pulling in the fish from the gulf. When we got back to shore, he filleted our catch. We left in the morning and fished for four hours.
