To get on the premises you have to be in their system. The security guards an amazing, professional and very nice. Walking towards the doors to the lobby you can see police signs from certain tv shows and films that are produced there. Inside the lobby there's comfortable seating, a television and then it's the concierge desk. If you need the elevator the concierge will help you get to your destination. After talking to the concierge I didn't need the elevators. I just had to walk through the lobby and when you exit you are ground level where there's signs for what production is filming in a specific stage. The stages are huge and it's amazing the creativity some of these tv/film/commercial companies can construct: a mini mansion, basketball court with bleachers and event the inside of a courthouse to name a few. When evening falls you get a beautiful view of downtown Los Angeles with all of the sky scrapers nicely lit up. The inside of main building is very fun with healthy motivation statements in the stairwell, the hallways have fun 1980s style carpeting and the walls/doors are bright and colorful. There's a fun buzz of hard working production staff getting ready for filming and the cool chill ease from the students that are taking classes here. Los Angeles Center Studios has filming opportunities, meetings, fittings and also host social events like Black On The Block. Which is like an independent flea market and networking. You'll probably have to check their website for the dates to play. I really like this venue!

We did the actual filming at the sound stages, which were spacious and professionally equipped. As a woman working long hours in the DTLA area, I especially appreciated the onsite security services -- they were attentive, well-informed, and knew exactly who was scheduled to be where and when. The parking facility felt secure, and lobby security's control over the main elevators added an extra layer of safety and organization. The vibe of the entire site felt professional and well-run, with a clear focus on keeping things efficient and safe. Would definitely work here again.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Native Publishing. My experience was extremely…read moredisappointing and raised serious concerns about their business practices. From the beginning, communication felt inconsistent and unclear. Promises were made about timelines, deliverables, and support that were either delayed significantly or never fully met. Once payment was made, the level of responsiveness dropped noticeably, which made it difficult to get updates or resolution to ongoing issues. What stood out most was the lack of transparency. Key details about services, expectations, and outcomes were not clearly outlined upfront, and I often felt like I was getting vague or shifting answers when I asked for clarification. At times, it felt more like a transactional relationship than a professional partnership invested in my success. In addition, the value of what was delivered did not match what was advertised. The quality and level of service did not align with the cost, and I was left feeling like I did not receive what I paid for. I encourage anyone considering working with Native Publishing to do thorough research, ask very detailed questions, and get everything in writing before committing financially. Based on my experience, I would not recommend their services.

The Year in Music:…read more On Monday Night in a Closed Museum, the Grammy Museum held it's first, in what it expects to be annual, "Year in Music Forum", with 5 guest speakers, who among them totaled decades of experience in the music business. The Panel proceeded in informal fashion led by moderator Robert Santelli, instrumental in the development of the Grammy Museum, and long affiliated with The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Questions were put to music critics, music journalists, and music professors. Seated on the panel were: Josh Kun: Associate Professor at the Annenburg School, USC Lorraine Ali: Newsweek, New York Times, Rolling Stone, Spin Mag Phil Gallo: Variety, LA Times. Gail Mitchell: Billboard's R&B, Hip-Hop editor Sarah Bennett: The one fresh face, an editor & writer at USC The searching question was the one on the minds of every music professional, regardless be it the lowly sell my Merch at a dive club musician before I climb back in the van and drive 375 miles to my next location wondering if I have enough gas & will break down ..... to radio station execs, recording industry executives, and consumers streaming & ripping. * Where is music trending? * What devices will people settle on for music listening, or will they ever settle? * Is there a major world star out there? An umbrella star who captures everyone's attention? Or are there tiny corners where some people listen to cumbia & reggaeton, while others listen to Bollywood & Bangra, & still others listen to Taylor Swift & Mylie Cyrus .... ok this panel didn't have much love for the last two, but just a point. * How can anyone ever get paid again? * Are there taste makers out there any more or does everyone just listen to whatever the F they want to, regardless of the critics? Let us say the discussion was lively. Nothing was settled. And for the most part it was agreed that with music streaming from areas as diverse as the Ganges, the Amazon, and the Tigres-Euphrates, that never again will there be a music industry in it's Glory Days that can dictate consumer tastes and spending. Disclaimer: This is not a review of the Grammy Museum itself. The Museum Exhibits were closed at that hour, and this was a Panel Discussion.
