Today I had the opportunity to visit Reese's. We have been long time customers and recently ordered a specialty cake for our dog. She was diagnosed with cancer and we have her resting at home. I ordered 2 cakes our traditional bark day cake (early this year due to her Diagnosis ) and also requested a specialty cake both were 24 hours prior to pick up. When I picked up the cake they knew something was wrong. I broke down and shared our unfortunate news. The kindness and compassion they shared was heartwarming. Spending time to speak with me and then offering word of encouragement to me and our family. Thank you for being there for our family. read more

I walked into the store today and thought I entered the wrong place. Been shopping here for years and never was I approached to see what I needed. Before I could turn around the guy had the item in his hands for me. Introduced himself etc. offered to take the 40 lb bag to my car. I have really bad arthritis and was never ever offered that before. Said he would save my value discount tickets for the Frommes I was purchasing. I tell you what ? 100% improvement in service. As long as cleanliness and product integrity stays good. I'll stay with Reese's. I drive 45 minutes from Wisconsin to purchase my dog food. Keep it up. Honesty and integrity. Not sure about puppies on the floor. Seemed weird. Cold. Should be at home not in a store. read more

Stopped by for my first time today and what a great experience. I've spoken with Diedra and Matt and both have been so full of information! I have 3 dogs, each with their own allergies, quirks, needs & wants. Matt took lots of time today to go over foods, treats, supplements, etc with me - he was so kind, patient and knowledgeable! At no point did I think I was being 'sold' and I was shocked at the pricing. I can spend the same (Or LESS) to shop locally & support small business ; what a great experience and convenience!! read more

The shop is adorable and the new owners couldn't be nicer. Very nice selection of toys and doggy things. My dog got plenty of free samples and I let him take a sniffing tour before we got a pound of mixed treats to go. I think we'll go back next weekend so he can have his picture taken with the Grinch lol. read more

I have been going here for 10 years and my family has been going here even longer. We always buy fromms dog food and we save up the tags and the 12th bag is free. It has always been a breeze bc the old owner (who was amazing) would clip the coupons and write dates down on the envelope. Well I came into the establishment not knowing it was under new ownership with my envelope with my 12 barcodes, and was told bc I didn't have all the dates written in, even though I had 12 barcodes I COULD NOT GET MY FREE bag until she sat there and looked up all the dates in her system to prove I had bought them there. I asked the lady nicely why I needed to wait around for her to do this, and her reply was I didn't understand that all the bags had to be purchased with her for her to honor these. Fromms does not give a crap where you purchase them as Long as u send in the 12 barcodes they will credit you for the bag no questions asked. Like I said I have been coming here for over 10 years and never bought a single bag anywhere else... why would I? The old owners made things so simple and were so friendly u wanted to go there. I left the establishment without my dog food to another Petstore, who GLADLY TOOK MY COUPONS AND MY BUSINESS. My family will NEVER return here for dog food!! If u want to deal with people who r going to give u a hard time about small things when u give them all ur business, then shop here. If not, you're welcome. Take ur money elsewhere!! Ever since I discovered this place, it's the only store I buy dog treats from. Not only are their prices excellent, but I'm also supporting a local business. They offer a bunch of items in the store including dry dog food and frozen raw foods. They have a great variety of flavors for the rawhides and the prices are BETTER than Wal-mart for them. Plus they're made in the US. I buy the foot long ones and cut them on the band saw. I also buy the 6 pack marrow bones from the freezer. $11.95 My dogs love these. Lastly, in the display cases at the register are several varieties of freshly baked dog treats. I always get a 1 to 2 lbs mix of the small ones. The owner is also very nice. read more

Very nice, very clean and very pet friendly! This is a great locally owned pet supply store with so much more to offer. My pit bull just recently celebrated his 2nd birthday with a cake from here. HE LOVED IT! It was a 9" peanut butter bone shaped cake. We brought both of our dogs in, for the first time, to pick up the cake and the woman helping us was so nice, cordial and was not afraid of our pit bulls. There was water there for them to drink and they had some free samples of the dog treats to make sure they liked them. Another great Mchenry family owned store. The owners here really treat you and your dog well. Rocky goes crazy anytime we say we are going to the doggy store. They have fresh foods and treats. They also have raw marrow bones and premade raw patties if your dog is on the raw food diet as ours is. Very clean place, has many TOP end foods and is very clean. They make doggy birthday cakes as well as pupcakes. read more

Went to the store for the first time on a friday at 1:30pm, I walked in and said hi she said hi back, the lady was on the phone the whole time I was there and when I was ready to check out I had to wait til she was done with her conversation. You tell your friends you'll call them back not have a customer wait a couple of minutes then say hold on to the person on the phone, felt like I was interrupting her. read more
