It is the laser reacting to metal in your mouth and the connecting point of the tooth/teeth. Mostly harmless, but can damage or shatter the bonds.

Updated review... I…read morewas finally able to get a hold of this business and once you are in you are golden. Laser services are amazingly affordable and EFFECTIVE. The laser they use is much less painful than the other place I was going to in Eagan, with the laser blowing cold hair to cool the area being lasered. You'll be amazed how much that reduces the pain factor (I'm getting my bikini area completely lasered and if that doesn't hurt then nothing will). It's a drive if you live in the city, but the money (and pain) you will save is totally worth it.
