If you're looking for an easy, relaxing Pilates class, this is NOT the studio for you. Expect to work the entire class; your muscles will burn and you will sweat! I took a Reform class with Caitlin and she kept us moving the entire time and it was GREAT. One of my favorite things about the class was the way everything was timed. Some studios will say "do 10" etc. but the timed aspect allows you to work at your own pace and it will never hold anybody back. She has great energy and is encouraging throughout the class by using each person's name a couple of times and provides modifications and challenges for each exercise. I really enjoyed this class and studio and I'll definitely be coming back for more classes! I'd recommend the Reform class to anyone who wants a great workout. read more

Customer service is definitely a weakness of this Pilates studio. Customer loyalty is non existent. Classes are mostly good, especially when instructors are known. Instructors are very friendly. However, be aware that even if you have been a consistent customer for well over a year and a half you may still be treated unfairly. read more

High quality Pilates and cycle classes with abundant parking and good pricing! Parking: Loads of parking. This is near the Starbucks north of Missouri/7th St. Hours: excellent! There are classes seven days per week. They have classes that begin at 6 am, all the way till 7 pm. Instruction: Depends. I now have determined for Pilates, I prefer Tyler, Kristina, Ariel, and Jessica. Reason? They are very very observant, and they correct people and provide instruction that makes sense. They will help a person modify if she needs. When my mom was in town, I wanted to take her here. I chose a class by Jessica, since I knew she would help if either of us were doing something incorrectly. Body alignment is imperative in Pilates. Tyler is especially observant and helpful, and he also specifically states the muscle groups, which I like. The Jump Jump classes are a lot of fun - it's not jumping on the ground, but low impact jumps on the reformer. The Reform classes provide core, leg, and upper body. Instruction is provided before one completes the exercise. Other instructors did not provide as specific instruction as the four individuals listed above, and I have been to numerous instructors' classes. Spin: I mostly participate in Kaitlin's spin class and enjoy her positive attitude and friendliness. She gets to know people. Other instructors did not bother to learn my name. Her classes are high energy with fun music. She recommends specific speed, but not necessarily power. The spin classes are on Kaiser bikes with the computers on them, so one can view his or her RPMs or power. Price: They always have deals. I got a Labor Day deal where I got 10 classes for $100 for Reform. I got some other deal for spin where they were maybe $6 per class. There are holiday sales, black Friday sales, etc. The regular prices are not that bad, either. Ambiance: Nice big windows and mirrors line the studio, so it's light and lovely in there. The cycle studio is too dark for my taste. I know that's the cool thing in spin now, but it's hard to see if one wants to leave early. I also hate how the two bathrooms are in the back of each studio. read more

Exceeded expectations! I'm new to the neighborhood and started taking some Mat pilates classes a couple of months ago. I decided I would give reformer a try but I was a bit nervous about it. I stopped by Reformed Pilates to take advantage of the first free class and try it out. All I have to say...Awesomeness!. The workout was fantastic, the studio is bright and clean, and most importantly everyone that works there is super nice and made me feel very comfortable. Great workout! Really tough if you've never done it before. I'm pretty active, but I think anyone would agree that Pilates is a different kind of workout so even if you run or lift weights, the muscles you're using and targeting in Pilates are different. So basically I was sore for like a week after my first time, but ended up going back 3 days later to make sure I wasn't wasting my soreness lol. I bought the new person 10 class pack, it's a great deal. Comes out to $10 a class. Both the Arcadia and Central locations are really nice. The classes are small so there is a lot of interaction between you and the instructor. They will come and around and help you or correct your posture, if necessary (which I appreciate). Great experience and first class is free so why not give it a try! read more

I don't think I can speak highly enough of Reformed! It's amazing! Spin and Pilates all in one place? Hell yeah! Not only are the deals and prices better than other spin places I've been ($100 for 10 classes, uh hello), the staff goes above and beyond. McKenzie and one of the women working at the front (don't know her name, but she has short hair and is super pretty) literally gave my friend the shoes off her feet when my friend showed up to spin in the wrong shoes. I mean really, who does that? Their customer service is superb and the classes are fun, energetic, and will leave you sweaty. Love this place! read more

Excellent Pilates studio that also offers spin classes! I was never a fan of paying to work out, but after moving to Phoenix and realizing running outside just wasn't going to happen year around, I decided to try out the free week of classes that they offer and I fell in love. All of the teachers have been super friendly and helpful, and they spice things up week to week so you're never bored and you're always getting a different workout. I have only tried spin at this location (although I am a big fan of their reformer Pilates classes at the Indian School location). It's in the Basha's parking lot, so plenty of free parking. They cram a lot of bikes into their spin space, definitely not the place for you if you are claustrophobic. Bikes have regular pedals on one side, if you do not have spin shoes, and clips on the other side. Classes are high energy, very enthusiastic instructors, great variety in the ride and the music. Just a good, challenging class. Some classes feature music with a live DJ, very entertaining. The bikes have panels that tell you your resistance, speed, and total miles ridden, among other stats. I wish more studios offered bikes with this feature! It makes it easier for the instructor to give clear instructions (i.e. how many RPMs you should be shooting for) and for me to gauge if I am staying consistent and/or increasing resistance. read more

I stopped by the 7th at location today to get started on classes. The door was locked. The hours on yelp say they are open. I called the number and got the voicemail. It's one number for all three locations. This is annoying and bad business. I saw their advert on Facebook. I was really excited to join. This is just such a bummer. read more

I have been going to Pilates at Reformed Central for about 16 months. I have the highest praise for the facility, its well-maintained equipment and its well-trained instructors. I have found every instructor to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. Fellow students, and all of the staff, are friendly, welcoming and nice. For me personally, Pilates has been the perfect conditioning. I am one of the older ones, but the exercise curriculum has fit me well, and I have made progress in strength, stamina and flexibility. I love the long, lean muscles that one can build, and the adaptions or progressions that can be added for the exercises. I am in active surveillance now after a rough bout with cancer. My Pilates classes have helped me tremendously, beyond what I can really express, to move toward physical recovery, as well as regaining internal well-being, and a sense of mastery and control. I love the Challenges, which are motivational and fun. I earned a great t-shirt, and was a lucky winner of a raffle! I've tried almost every workout format and numerous gyms/studios. I can't say I've ever had a better experience than at Reformed. Workouts are challenging, but all instructors are great about giving modifications to bring down intensity if needed. Great variety of formats from cycling to basic reformer Pilates. I have been a member at Reformed for about 10 months now and I absolutely love it! I had tried group fitness at boutique studios (barre, yoga) in the past, but never got hooked. Reformed separates itself from the pack by providing an intense workout that also is fun and engaging. The pilates classes are small (10 reformers), so you get individualized attention from the trainers. I had never tried pilates on a reformer until I started at Reformed, and honestly, I was a bit intimated to try it out, but I am so glad that I did. The trainers are very helpful with making adjustments on your form, and they encourage you to get the most out of your workout. What I enjoy most about the pilates classes, and Reformed in general, is that it feels personal. The trainers know each client by name. Everyone at Reformed is genuinely invested in your progress and making sure you see results. The studio also offers cycling, including 30 and 45 minute rides. I have taken spin at other studios locally and in LA (Madison, Soul Cycle, Cycle House, and Flywheel), but Reformed is by far the best! Their bikes are not the cheap kind you find at some of those other studios. They are Keiser bikes and have a screen that shows you the results from your ride, which allows you to see actual improvement in your strength and speed from ride-to-ride. The spin room provides an amazing atmosphere. The music is awesome and the trainers are motivating. I am a distance runner by trade, and generally took spin at places like Madison or Soul Cycle because I thought it was fun, but I never felt like I got a great workout. This is not true at Reformed--no tap-backs, no jumping up and down on the bike, no bullshit. You will work hard; you will sweat. So, if you want an intense, but low-impact cardio workout, then you must try Reformed! read more

Reformed Pilates is Amazing!! The team in North Scottsdale is terriific!! They always are welcoming each time i have come in and say goodbye when I leave. I walked in one Sunday and Stephanie engaged me with a huge smile and was just so genuine and real telling me about Pilates so with her kindness and help i decided to sign up for a class. I have taken only one Pilates class in my life until i joined here and just love it. It is a full body workout and helps you get stronger. My first class was with Liz and she was so great, she took the time to give me a quick overview of the class, Each instructor is great and helps me with getting the correct posture, foot placements, etc. I love going to each class and feel so much better. I highly recommend Reformed Pilates their service and attention to each other their clients in amazing. I worked at Nordstroms and find customer service very important. The people at Reformed Pilates are an example of Great Customer Service!! This is by far the best work out studio I've been to! Before this location opened I was going to their studio in Arcadia and got hooked on the Pilates classes! Pilates was kind of intimidating for me at first because I had no clue what I was doing. After the 1st week I could already see and feel improvements in my body. It's such an awesome workout and it has honestly gotten me into the best shape I've ever been in. The only thing I needed to add to my workout routine was some more cardio so I cannot tell you how happy I was that they opened this second studio and added cycling classes! It's such a great workout and all of the instructors make sure to constantly change up the routine. My favorite class is the 30/30 Reform and Ride....30 mins of Pilates followed by a 30 minute ride! They have a really great schedule and are constantly adding more classes. If you have a membership with Reformed you can jump between their studios to find classes and times that work with any kind of crazy work schedule. The instructors honestly care about every client and make an effort to constantly help you get better. I can't wait to see what else Reformed does in 2015, whatever it is I know will be great! read more

Absolutely love Reformed - both studios are amazing, but Central's spin + pilates classes are easily my favorite! The studio is super modern, clean, and just a great environment. I absolutely adore the instructors - all are so friendly and happily help you with any adjustments when you're getting your butt kicked in their classes. The half and half pilates/spin classes are easily one of my favorite things about Reformed Central - so unique and so perfect! You can easily drop in for a 30 minute spin or reformer pilates class if you're low on time (trust me, even at 30 minutes, you'll still work up quite a sweat!). Reformed is unlike any other gym or fitness experience. No cliques, no spin 'front row' drama and no bullshit. Just great instructors, fantastic playlists upbeat attitudes and killer workouts. I love the variety of classes offered as well as the immaculate, boutique, nearly spa-like atmosphere (now with towel service and water available for purchase at the Central location). A very welcoming and non-intimidating environment. The diversity of the clientele is wonderful, both men and women ranging from 20s to 60s. Pilates and spin instructors are friendly and knowledgeable, making an effort to remember you by name and are always very helpful with any questions you may have, or offering suggestions to improve or adjust your form for optimal results. Make no mistake, Reformed classes will kick your ass in the best possible way while leaving you motivated and excited for your next class.
