I lift and am in decent shape came here a few times and it was great the first time after taking a workout break but I quickly realized this just is way too easy. I went to other barre places and had a much better workout. The inside is nice and clean and instructors are cool, which is why I gave 3 and not 2 stars

I rejoined last month, May 2025. I had my first class back, Align, at a different time of day from what I would normally attend. Staff was still great & they greeted me by name when I walked into the studio. The, I don't want to use names, manager is the one that got me to sign back up. She called since they were running a special, and she wanted to see if I might want to re-join. She apologized for the experiences that ultimately made me quit. We discussed the discount options, and what kind of schedule I thought I could have if I joined back up again. I let her know that the four pack class option is best for me, as I work two jobs and do strength training elsewhere. The class was pretty full when I arrived, but I walked in and grabbed a spot in the middle of the room. My favorite spot is the back bar, it is the first location I took a class at back when I became a member and it is the spot I prefer. Class was great, although I let them know Align was a little tougher than I remembered back in March 2025. I checked in on Yelp after class, or before, and I saw some awful reviews. They are what led me to update my review. The owner is great and has been able to expand locations. She really worked with me in the past, like when I originally enrolled and was going to quit due to cost and class times. When I quit back in March they asked why, they tried to get me to come back, they offered different class options. While I was quitting, I kept thinking they were just contacting me so they would not lose a member/money. I realized they actually wanted feedback, to know why I did not feel comfortable in class and what happened to make me want to quit. I should add, when I quit there was a lot going on- someone had driven through the front entrance, so we had to enter through the back of class. I like routine and that threw everything off. Honestly, I should have paused my membership and then just restarted once everything was back to status quo. Back to why I quit- I had placed my water bottle at my spot at the bar- someone completely disregarded my spot and took it over. I felt slighted, things were already off and that was the last straw. As you can see, it was not because of staff, it was because I am particular and routine oriented. Give this place a try. If I remember correctly, the owner of this location has three other locations. That allows you to take classes at any of them, rather than just this one.

I have a very tight back and limited mobility, so there are certain back-strengthening poses such as Cobra, Locust etc I'm simply unable to perform at this point. Toward the end of class, with less than 10 minutes remaining, the class transitioned into a back series. Rather than attempting poses I knew my body couldn't safely do, I quietly moved into Child's Pose and Pigeon Pose to continue stretching and listening to my body, which is something I believed yoga encouraged. Instead of checking in with me privately or asking if I was okay, I was asked to get up and leave the in front of everyone. I was told my poses were inappropriate, that this was not an "flow" series and it was insulting to the rest of the class. It was humiliating and completely contrary to everything I believe yoga represents. Yoga should be a place of acceptance, mindfulness, and meeting your body where it is not a place where you're publicly singled out because you're modifying poses to accommodate your physical limitations. I left the studio almost in tears. Afterward, I spoke with the assistant manager, who was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional. She listened to my concerns and assured me she would escalate the situation to the head manager, and I truly appreciated the way she handled our conversation. Unfortunately, the experience itself has left such a negative impression that I will not be returning. I also cannot recommend this studio to anyone who views yoga as a safe and welcoming environment for all levels and abilities. My hope in sharing this review is not to attack anyone personally, but to encourage growth. I sincerely hope Niru Gupta reflects on this experience and approaches situations like this differently in the future. Not every student has the same level of flexibility, strength, or experience, and many people attend yoga specifically to improve those limitations. A brief private conversation or simple check-in would have been far more appropriate than publicly asking a student to leave. Every student deserves to feel respected, supported, and safe in a yoga class, regardless of their physical abilities. Sadly, that was not my experience here.

The heat of the classroom was the hottest I've experienced, and I've attended a handful of classes around the valley. This studio had the classroom set to 110 degrees, with a closed door and full class so the temperature easily feels closer to 115. If you're new to heated classes, I would work your way up to this class/studio. They do offer great pricing for class packs if you're interested in trialing it out for two weeks. If you're sensitive to heat/scent, I wouldn't recommend a heated class as you DO sweat heavily as well as all other participants. Meaning - you WILL smell other people and their sweat. The studio offers lockers and cubbies to hold your items and also has a well kept bathroom with showers to rinse off after class.

I took a class here last night in studio B and it was a heated flow class. Pretty challenging but hey that's what we need in life to be even better than we were yesterday. Only complaint about this studio is that there is only one bathroom for women for a studio this size. There is definitely a line for the bathroom in the women's locker before classes. Locker room is a decent size but also could use one more bench in the middle so people have a place to put their stuff when grabbing items out of the lockers. I like the Foundry and think their studios are pretty solid, you'll definitely seeing me coming back again!

We chose the barre option when asked to choose between yoga or barre. She first assessed the average experience of the group and I believe the modified the exercises to fit the needs of the group. There was adequate stretch between each series. Maybe one piece of constructive feedback is for hands-on adjustments (or verbal cues) since not everyone in the group knew what they were doing the entire time, but that's one small point out of what was a very wonderful experience. Everyone had a good time and said the workout was enjoyable. Would recommend CA Yoga Barre, at least for the private session, for those looking for an extra something for their programming!

One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. I'm totally out of balance and lack strength on the right side. PT was a nightmare for me too. I went to 2 different PT places and both hurt me and I ended up back in a wheelchair. I am trying different exercise modalities to find something I can do. This isn't it. I realize I'm not the norm most people will be able to do Pure Barre. I need a much more gentle program that doesn't hurt. The music volume should be turned done. It takes away from what the instructor is saying. The instructors voice should be dominant not the music!

You can tell it was designed to be a special place, and on the surface, it truly is adorable. That said, my experience left me feeling uneasy, mostly due to cleanliness and supervision concerns. I witnessed multiple children putting toys in their mouths (which is totally normal for kids), but what was concerning was that those same toys were often placed right back into shared play areas. While I later learned there is a designated bin for toys that have been in kids' mouths, this wasn't communicated upfront, and I didn't see it being consistently used or enforced. There also seemed to be inconsistency when it came to staff involvement. Across my two visits, I did see some staff members actively cleaning up and returning toys to their proper places, which I appreciated. However, I also observed others simply picking up toys and dropping them into corners of the rooms without any real organization or sanitizing. I completely understand that keeping up with kids is a challenge--I'm a parent too--but that's where consistent staff engagement becomes really important. Another issue was the level of parental supervision. Many parents were on their phones while their kids played freely. Again, that's ultimately a parenting responsibility, but in a shared environment like this, it contributes to the overall hygiene and safety concerns. I also want to mention that I found the staff presentation a bit unprofessional, which added to the overall impression that things weren't being closely managed. To be fair, you do sign a waiver regarding illness, and I understand that no play space can be completely germ-free. However, I did end up contracting chickenpox exactly 10 days after visiting, which makes me seriously question the effectiveness of their cleaning and sanitizing practices. Overall, this place is incredibly cute and full of potential. With more consistent staff involvement, clearer communication, better sanitization systems, and encouragement for parents to stay engaged, it could be an amazing environment. Right now, though, it falls short of what it could and should be.

I have been going to the Pilates Barre for a year now, and I have never found a workout that sculpts and strengthens my body the way this practice does. Jamie is a master instructor who mixes up the workouts so they're never boring. She makes you go that extra mile, and the rewards are many. I find this particular brand of Pilates practice addicting in the very best of ways. I highly recommend The Pilates Barre to anyone who wants to strengthen their body, improve their balance, flexibility and enhance their sense of well being. read more

The Pilates Barre is excellent! I have tried several exercise modalities and when I started going to The Pilates Barre, I felt like I had finally found the type of exercise I had been looking for. Jamie is a phenomenal instructor and has the ability to challenge you while keeping it fun and fresh every class. I have seen excellent improvement in my body and most importantly I feel great!! I have attempted many exercise programs. Pilates with Jamie is the most effective for core strengthening that affects the whole body. No two classes are the same because Jamie is creative with the combinations, patterns and instructions as she pushes us to do more while encouraging us to pay attention to our body's limits. read more

It's conveniently located in a beautiful building with easy parking and a spotless, welcoming space. The classes are small (only six reformers!), so it feels almost like personal training. Every instructor I've met has been amazing -- each with their own unique style -- but the workouts are consistently challenging in the best way. And I always leave feeling like I got a great workout! The owner is kind, responsive, and clearly cares about the experience. I recommend arriving 15 minutes early to make sure you're on time because they WILL lock the doors once class starts to make sure we aren't interrupted. The classes usually incorporate a full-body workout with music in the background. We do a range of exercises that use the silks in assistance with the workout, but I've never only been in the air. Jade was great at leading the exercises and movements while allowing me to be mindful of my posture, movements, and very encouraging. The class itself was nice and challenging and definitely felt the burn. This studio moved to a new location and so it still smells nice and new here and they have a cute clean studio.
