When you tour, they show you all the cool lab stuff that you will rarely use. They pack the classes with more students than seats. The onboarding process is extremely unorganized. Everyone is placed in a large room for briefings, then they move you to a room where they provide two staff members to "aid" you in accessing all the required programs. Yet those staff members are only knowledgable in the programs specific to their fields. Then you are sent to a classroom where pre-existing students have been receiving instruction since class started, while you were receiving onboarding briefs and gaining access to required programs. So, you start at a disadvantage. The curriculum has build in labs on the two in-person days. However, the instructors frequently come up with reasons not to preform the labs. Some instructors add a lot of "busy work" that is not part of the Evaluation Criteria expressed on the syllabus. If you are Military utilizing your Post 9/11 G.I. Bill they verify your contract with the VA by classes instead of monthly. So, it throws your pay off. On testing days there is no consideration for students that require an environment free of distraction. There is a department that is supposed to be here to assist students with resumes and job opportunities. They do not respond to emails, although the school is hybrid (In-person & online) and when in person, they ofter find a reason they can not assist you. There is no system in place that provides you with your final grade following completion of classes aside from them being posted to your Student Degree Evaluation Report two weeks after conclusion of that class. Four months in and I have lost all interest and excitement in the field of study I once was ecstatic about.

There was an error on the form of the drug test but I wasn't notified till July! I was called at 9 am to call out of work and to rush to get the drug test done again the same day! BECAUSE OF THAT THEY TRIED MOVING MY START DATE TO INSTEAD OF AUGUST, IT WOULD BE JANUARY. I do everything right and by the book but they called me again today to trll me that they cancelled my application because I tested positive for medical marijuana, Which i am medically licensed for. Then told me to reapply in a year. At that point they were just messing with me to cancel me to be a student alltogether. They have been emotionally manipulating and uncommunicative from the beggining.

There are plenty of dining options, stadiums for all sports and shopping, like a bookstore and an Amazon drop off. It's still nice to attend community and alumni events, or just to walk around.

I recently attended a few speaking engagements here for their business programs as a leader in the community and I am currently enrolled for the 2026-2027 accelerated masters program. The campus features beautiful lake views, trails , museums , cathedrals and gorgeous architecture and I'm excited to be a part of the community.

The campus has since improved and relapsed into archaic tradition since I've last seen the beautiful red brick buildings, and I'd like to touch on some things I've noticed. For one thing the Raider center is a great addition to the Sanford/Lake Mary campus and I would go a great way just to work out there were my sciatica and Arthritis not so severe. Geoff and staff are delightful, always making sure to attend to the needs of the patrons and dare I say just so polite to conversate with! However, some areas of campus are far less attractive. One of my biggest qualms is with the bird population. I have been on numerous accounts been followed, harassed, chased, and at times mocked by the so called 'endangered' sandhill cranes. Their evil eyes are most unwelcome in my life and I religiously avoid them at all costs. They seem to know me, and regardless of where I am they always seem to find me. Birds hold grudges... nevertheless they are a dark splotch on the pristine canvas of this institution and were I not an avid PETA enthusiast I would recommend complete annihilation of these terrible creatures. Animals deserve life- but these monsters deserve despair as they have caused me despair all these many years. The campus is beautiful! I'd highly recommend it to any scholars searching to gain their AA or equivalent. Go Raiders! Always remember, bird is the word. Except Sandhill Cranes. -Shelley 5/5/23
