I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. It's a paint studio where you can paint boards and decor for birthday parties, events, etc., and it's a little home decor shop in the back, as well. It's an intimate space, and the employee here was SO personable, easy to talk to, helpful, and funny! She answered any and all questions we had and was very knowledgeable about their products and services. They seriously have the cutest home decor and little trinkets, candles, jewelry, etc. When I came in, they had some fall stuff out already, and I 100% will be back once their whole fall line comes out. The merchandise that they sell, I haven't seen at other stores! Definitely a very unique and original shop. Products here were all reasonably priced, as well. We bought a sectional about 2 months ago, paid for white glove delivery and old furniture removal. Delivery was on time with great communication from the delivery team. My wife and I were greeted by Chuck. He was very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy, which was much appreciated. He was able to answer all of our questions and set up everything for the purchase. We haven't any issues with the sectional and have actually ordered another piece to add to it. Take the time to visit this store if you're interested in furniture, they do have some nice things on display, and judge them for yourself. We will probably be purchasing more items in the future from this store.

I completely understand that coming in about 10 minutes before closing isn't ideal, and I was fully aware that the store closed at 6:00. I had no intention of staying past closing time. However, from the moment we were walking in they immediately turned Half of the lights off, and we were immediately told there were "less than five minutes" left, even though there was clearly more than five minutes until closing. After that, we were repeatedly reminded that they were closing. I understand giving customers a reminder, but I don't need to be told over and over again when I'm already aware of the time. What really bothered me was that at 5:55, an employee told us that they were closing, even though the posted closing time was 6:00. At that point, I knew I only had five minutes left and was prepared to leave by 6:00. It just felt like they were so adamant about getting us out that we were made to feel unwelcome for simply walking into a business while it was still open. If customers aren't supposed to come in during the last 10-15 minutes, then the store should have an earlier last-entry time posted. Otherwise, customers who enter before closing should still be treated respectfully.
