We embarked on our renovation nervous about timelines as we are expecting twins and needed time to…read moremove in and prepare before their arrival. We are thrilled to report that our contractor Norseman and the project manager Robert Hansen completed the job one month ahead of our target date- unheard of in the world of renovations! Throughout the renovation, Robert stayed true to the agreed upon schedule, providing regular pictures and updates on Buildertrend and made phone calls to keep the communication consistent and constant. Robert informed us of every deviation to plan and walked us through options and items to consider when a decision that felt beyond our scope was required. One such instance was having a flush mount beam opposed to a drop beam, Robert explained the pros (space and visual) and cons cost and reworking mechanicals. The flush mount beam was installed with minimal disturbance to the timeline and we cannot imagine the space with a drop beam. As the job progressed, he carefully considered our growing family and made suggestions we had not thought of such as a relocation and enlargement of the entryway coat closet, grout colour that would hide dirt and a bathroom vanity change. These changes improved the finished product and functionality of the house. We realized early on that we could truly trust Robert Hansen with anything, that he genuinely wanted the best for our family and home and that he is a perfectionist- thorough to the last detail. Toward the end of our job, he took extra care in the details of our contract; such as wall alterations to accommodate a larger fridge, dishwasher installation, staircase staining and vanity adjustments to ensure that we were completely satisfied. These commitments played out on his personal time and out of the goodness of his heart. We will forever be grateful to Norseman for their professional, reliable and quality services. Every member of the company we encountered contributed to a positive renovation experience, making an otherwise stressful situation for two working parents of two children (with two more on the way) manageable and successful from start to finish. Their team is efficient, knowledgeable and respectful. More significantly, we are grateful that Robert was assigned to our job. He exceeded every expectation and made us feel secure through the transformative and high stress time.
