I love the recliner chairs its comfy and fun to adjust lol i love the food/snacks especially the hot dogs and nachos n cheese lol im not a fan of popcorn in general so i get soda and candy n foodish snacks lol the people are always really nice and the reward points u get even more items now on the list! I also love that paying the $20 subscription monthly gets UNLIMITED movies !! Thats freaking a great deal and super cool! I love the chairs!!!!! Although the theatre was nice enough inside, the help was pleasant but very yound, and the movie was good, I'm pretty sure I got sick from the nacho cheese I bought with pretzel chunks last weekend. Took in a movie here Saturday night as part of Valentine's Day weekend out. This was actually my second choice as I normally frequent the other major movie theater (I won't mention their name out of respect for Regal since this is their review). I stopped in early to buy tickets in advance. No issues there. We arrived back about 15 min before showtime and we walked right in. It was a little strange because no one ever questioned us for tickets or asked to see them. We just went straight to the assigned theater number. What's the point of tickets if no one is taking them? The theater was already playing advertisements and trailers which lasted until 5:20. Showtime was at 5:00. I understand playing trailers to plug other movies, but seriously..... 30 min? Great sound and I liked the 2 tear seating. We had good seats. I did see someone walking around the room early with a security light checking on things. I saw other patrons texting on cell phones during the movie which was a distraction. Plenty of signs posted not to do this but no one stopped the behavior. Very disrespectful by those that did this and was disappointed a staff member didn't step in. Was obvious it was going on when a tiny bright light shines in a dark theater or the strobe light flashes. After the show was over, my experience has always been house lights would come up to assist in exiting the room. Guess they are trying to save on electric since nothing came on and we waited a few minutes before we left. I will be sticking to my normal theatre and will most likely not return to Regal. read more

I don't really get the bad reviews. I went here on a Thursday night. It was pretty dead. If you go inside it's kinda dark and it looks sketchy. It looks like a dying business tbh. Get the tickets and snacks from the counter That went smoothly and I was pleased with the service and the snacks. If you get the largest popcorn size there's a free refill and I definitely took advantage of that. The theater is pretty clean. The seats are average. Not uncomfortable but not totally comfy enough for a long film. The sound was fine and the picture was fine. I just wish it looked for inviting. I have no complaints about the entire experience. I would definitely go again, but probably in the day time. read more

Like the last reviewer, I'm not sure why this theater has so many bad reviews. It's obviously an older building but I like the nostalgia of it! Everything was well taken care of - no crackling speakers or torn screens. It's clean, smells clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We came on a Wednesday night. Was a little aggravated that though we bought pre-sale tickets on fandango that said go straight to ticket taker we still had to stand in the purchase line. Pretty much your average theater: sticky floors, overpriced food (I bring my own shit anyways, deep pockets baby!), and relevant movies. Nothing crazy fancy, but I'm not a very fancy guy (you could probably tell by the massive amount of strip club check ins and reviews I have). Solid theater though. I rarely go to the movies, but I did for this one that just came out. The theater is always clean. I went in and ask for a senior discount and found out that I need to have Regal card. So in the mean time the cashier was having a little trouble with the register. The Manager Devon step in and work everything out. Devon took the time and had patience with other customers coming in to see a movie. This Manager can multitask , using my cell phone to set up Regal account and getting me my discount. I know this Regal in Chapel Hill is not doing a lot of business. I do not like crowds and passive aggressive people around me, that talk all the time and act childless in a movie theater. I was pleased with the snacks and the service. I be back, to see more movies in the future. read more

Took my daughter her to see Pete's Dragon, and while the movie was great, the experience wasn't. About a half hour into the movie, the theater began to get uncomfortably warm. It definitely didn't feel like they had the air conditioning on. Even though I didn't want to disrupt the others in the theater, it got to the point where I was sweating, so I got up and went out to the front to complain and ask them to adjust the temperature. The person I spoke with told me that they would take care of it, but nothing was ever done. I was uncomfortable throughout the remainder of the movie, and as a result, I will not be returning to this theater, even though it's the closest one to my house. read more

Best customer service in Akron. No it's not fancy like Cinemark however the customer service is the best. Prices are the same for all theaters and popcorn is expensive but that's how theatres make their money. Never crowded and I've never had any problems here. read more

Our experience at this theater was absolutely atrocious! The theater was overrun by high school aged kids running in and out of the theater all throughout the show. They were loud, obnoxious, rude, and extremely inappropriate. It took THREE couples to complain to the manager before she came in and said anything to them. Twenty minutes later, they started right back up and didn't stop until over half the audience left out of frustration. The management has got to get this theater under control or it is going to be the next victim of the Akron curse. I HIGHLY recommend spending an extra few minutes in the car to visit ANY other theater if you actually want to watch the movie you spend your hard-earned money on. On a side note, Jack Reacher was a pretty awesome movie. read more

Good selection of movies. It's $10.50 for a ticket...eeek! Luckily, I had an Entertainment book coupon for $2 off. I also went to the consessions for popcorn and pop. The medium bag of popcron was $7. That's INSANE! I could buy several boxes of popcorn at the store for that much! The medium pop was $4 and was about the size of a large at a fast food restaurant. If it weren't for a gift card I got for Christmas, I wouldn't have bought any popcorn. The theater seating is stadium style which I like. The seats themselves are wearing thin on the padding. Before the movie started, they were messing with the sound a lot so we didn't really hear the previews too well. I'm just glad they fixed the sound before the movie started. The movie played without any flaws. When it was over, they never turned the lights up so we could see to get out. There are little orange floor lights but most thaters usually turn on dim lights so you can get down the stairs without tripping. Overall, not bad. There are way better theaters out there for the same price. read more
