    Game area

I had a fun time out overall. The game area has duckpin bowling which is very fun. The bar area tends to get overly crowded on the weekends and I usually have to wait quite awhile for my drink whenever I visit. The acoustics for bands are mediocre, however, I like that they have bands in general. I wish they had less dining tables set up and slightly more room for people to dance as it tends to be a very crowded space for dancing.

I feel like the cook was angry that night.

Speakeasy was cool. Good drinks. Live band was cool. Good atmosphere but a bit crowded. Arcade was not bad, kids had fun. Food was a D+ although management comped us for our destroyed burgers. Staff was A-. Hopefully they can improve and get better.

This place is super fun and lively. You can play games before or after you dine, or you can just come in for food if you don't feel like playing. The food is decent, but my sandwich was extremely dry. It was described on the menu as having a garlic butter toasted bun, but it was a plain bun instead. The chicken patty was dry and needed a lot of side ranch to enhance the taste. But I've had other things in the menu that I liked, and the service is very nice so I can't complain.

Stopped in on a Monday night. Got there at 5 and there were only 4-5 others there. We got a lane and started bowling. We went up to the bar to order our first round and then they sent a waiter to our table to check on us and take all of our future drink and food orders. We got pretzel bites and garlic cheese curds to start. Both great, didn't taste the garlic in the cheese curds but still tasted good with the spicy ranch it came with. We ordered our food and a few minutes later our time expired on our lane but our waiter ended up adding 30 more minutes on while we waited for our food and because they were slow! Food only took maybe 15 minutes to show up and tasted fantastic! The Nashville hot was crispy, not spicy enough for my liking, but still very good. However, the sweet potato fries with the marshmallow fluff was to die for. After we ate we played arcade games for the next hour or so. Lots of great games and some new ones we'd never seen before. The atmosphere was super cool and a nice touch that they kept some of the original theater.

We love coming here with the family. Duckpin bowling is our favorite. They do change things up a lot so if you go for a particular experience or game you may find it is gone. We were disappointed when we tried to do the VR and it was closed on the particular weekday we went which was just odd to me. It's a fun atmosphere with the kids during specific hours obviously it is still a bar. I love the location and what they have done with the theater. I would say you are definitely paying more for that experience. This isn't cheap fun n stuff. If the kids want to spend the whole time in the arcade you'll pay a pretty penny! If you want to go have a fun lunch and bowl it's amazing. For adults only/weekdays/events it's amazing! It's a little chaotic getting to the bar to get drinks but it's a blast! Still seems like they might have a shortage of some staff randomly just like every other business but I won't complain about the service because everyone is always friendly and accommodating! They really have made this place lively again it's great it's in the heart of the falls!

The deviled eggs with salmon and capers. These were amazing.

I visited The Workz for the second time last night with some friends. We hit the Speakeasy, duckpin bowling, and then had dinner on the main floor. Right off the bat the building is just so cool and it's great how so much of its history is still there to look at. Service at check-in was attentive despite someone still being new. We went downstairs to the Speakeasy and both bartenders were attentive. Drinks were excellent. Last night's special was Abuelas mojito (excellent). I'm a huge French 75 fan so I had that as well. To snack we had the fries, deviled eggs, and the charcuterie board. All 3 were great but the deviled eggs were amazing. Duckpin bowling was just a lot of fun so I highly recommend that. On the main floor for dinner we ordered a couple apps, pizzas, and the California. The pretzel bites were so good (and so was the cheese sauce!) and the fried avocado with the spicy dipping sauce was also tasty. Pizzas were pretty good but I admit that my double pepp was just ok the next morning for breakfast. My friend that got the California said it was ok. I had to try the profiteroles for dessert and this is where they lost a star for me. I order dessert because I have a sweet tooth and this was not great. The chocolate tasted like it was at least semi-sweet (which definitely has its uses in dessert but not here) and the fried dough part of the dessert looked suspiciously like a deep fried hamburger bun. At the least it needed a donut glaze on it. I will absolutely go back.

Cinderella, New York cheesecake, Manhattan, hand shuffle board

I didn't have high hopes, this isn't really our scene. I do love cheesecake and I love hand shuffleboard though so we decided to check it out. The place was packed for starters. I didn't really enjoy that considering everything that's going on. The entry way was so packed with people that it was actually difficult to get in. We decided to walk around and check out what there was, despite the hour-ish wait for a table. Lots of arcade-ish games. The VR looked cool and wasn't busy, we saw a family of three try it while we were there. I saw some sort of redemption area for tickets (I assume). Air hockey seemed to be a hit. We found a staircase that said 'mezzanine' and decided to head upstairs. Somehow we were lucky enough to find two very comfy chairs right next to the unoccupied hand shuffle board table. We ordered a slice of cheesecake and a couple of drinks. The Cinderella and a Manhattan. My husband said his Manhattan seemed to be just straight bourbon. My Cinderella was good considering what it was. The cheesecake tasted like they had just thawed it from a box, which is fine but know what to expect. We'll come back on a weeknight for food, drinks, and hand shuffle board and might bring the young nephews back as they'll enjoy the games. Anxious to see what this place grows into once they get their feet under them.

This place is absolutely amazing. When you first walk in you think OK it's just a restaurant with some arcade games. They have this game, I can't recall the name but it's basically like mini bowling. My son and I had dinner and played this mini bowling as we eat. You rent the space by time not by game. It was quite fun and much easier than real bowling. We enjoyed a few of the games. Several of the games are similar to fair games not necessarily computer games like Pac-Man or anything. One game is a punching bag to see how hard you can punch my son and I had quite a lot of fun with that. We also witnessed several other people enjoying it. The food that I had was phenomenal. I was pleasantly surprised. I don't do a lot of carbs and gluten and when I first looked at the menu I thought oh shit there's nothing really here for me. As I looked a little harder I found bone in or no bone wings, baked brussels sprouts, steamed broccoli and salads. I went for the Cajun rub bone in chicken wings and ranch dipping sauce along with the seasoned brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing really tasty. My son had the pizza with several toppings and enjoyed that tremendously. Believe it or not he's never had pub pretzels so he tried them and he enjoyed those too. They have a bar and TVs along with the games. They have a very large stage. They have live bands perform on them typically on Friday and Saturday nights. As we were walking out we noticed a Yannick door with some electronic components on it. There was a gentleman in the process of repairing it. My son is very much into engineering and such so we stopped to talk to the gentleman. Explain to us how the door worked and what was downstairs. I had no idea from just walking in. They have a secret bar downstairs. A secret bar with an amazing bartender who can make extremely fancy amazing alcoholic drinks. The ambience downstairs is very relaxing and cozy. I tried the maple old fashion because it was recommended to me as being the most popular drink. I've never tried bourbon before. People have told me you either like it or you don't. The way this bartender made this drink it was to die for. So I guess I do like bourbon or at least the way he made it. I have to come back to experience this secret bar with friends. The secret bar is called the speakeasy at the workz. On their Friday and Saturday evenings when they have loud bands upstairs this bar still remains quiet and calm with a very nice music ambience in the background. It has a feeling of sophistication. The bartender was friendly and explained the different drinks and how he made this maple old fashion drink. How they have two different types of bourbon and depending on if you like the taste of bourbon or if you prefer the softer lesser amount of bourbon which one he would recommend to you for your drink. I returned upstairs to find my son still talking to the gentleman repairing the door. My son was not allowed downstairs as it is for 21 and over only. The gentleman was explaining how the door worked and how you requested to go down with the secret card that unlocks the door etc. All very intriguing and fun. Then he brought us upstairs to the mezzanine and told us how they rented space out for the concerts etc. birthday parties what have you. It's a great view of the stage and everything going on downstairs. The gentleman explained to us about the building and the work that was done and all kinds of intriguing details. I finally asked are you The owner? He said he was one of the four owners. He was such a nice, engaging, informative, friendly gentleman not only with myself but with my son too. He was such a refreshing individual. I highly recommend a visit to this place and if you're old enough to check out the speakeasy. I can't wait to go back.

Really excited to try this place! The weekday hours are sketch--closing super early but finally got…read moreto experience it on a weekend evening. It's a restaurant, music venue, arcade, pool place; super eclectic with a loose Asian theme. There are some games and TV screens playing cult classic movies. Let's talk about their offerings: The good: -great menu selection -great tea selection -tea flavorings can be combined and combos were not overly sweet but done very tastefully -they do meat very well here. I got the buttered brisket and it was like melt in your mouth good. BF got the pixelated pork and it had a good thin char on the outside with the inside all soft and mmm -staff is helpful and friendly without being too solicitous -prices are reasonable for the most part -portions for the ramen bowls are acceptable -egg was not soft boiled but they were actually marinated and tasty -presentation was pretty Improvements: -noodles were not real ramen noodles. They were also not al dente and were not cooked well. -broth unfortunately was bland (never had that happen for a ramen bowl) and not stewed/flavored correctly -veggies were not cooked! Raw button mushrooms (instead of shitake, wood ear or enoki) and raw napa leaves! Please cook your veggies and season your bamboo shoots. They should be marinated -recommend using more toppings to dress up the ramen--be generous with scallions, sesame seeds, sesame oil and cilantro -they don't have anything spicy in the entire place. No red chili oil but no hot sauce at all! Please at least have one spicy condiment option -do NOT order the cucumber salad appetizer. The portion was 1/4 of a cucumber spiralized into oblivion. I would be embarrassed to serve this and charge $5. No pic because BF finished this in one bite... I'm rooting for this place though because it has the potential to be so good. Want to come back and try different offerings and definitely a different flavor of the tea!
