The carpet is old, especially in the hallway. My room is in the fifth floor so maybe the other floors are better. The elevator is small and makes odd noises. The towels are thin and the sheets are very old. Lighting in the room was poor. I wasn't planning to do any work on my laptop in the room tonight, this was simply a shower and sleep stay, but if I had planned to work, the lighting was dim. I had been looking forward to a nice hot shower but the water never got very hot. Even after letting it run for a long time it never got past warm. The front desk employees weren't rude or unfriendly, but they weren't especially welcoming. When I checked out the employee just said, "Do you need a receipt?" He didn't ask about my stay, or thank me, or wish me a good morning or safe trip. The lobby tea was clean. There was a computer and printer on a counter that served as a business center for guests. It gave us a bed and a bathroom and even had a coffee maker and fridge. The night clerk was very pleasant. She also took care of setting out the breakfast options. The breakfast was a pastry and granola bar in a bag and options for grits or oatmeal. They had options for smoking and non-smoking rooms. I would definitely stay here again if I just need a quick bed for the night.
