Sorry for taking long in finally writing this review!!!! This place has a lot of negativity but not enough positives. I know it is hard to find someone that does your nails the way you like them, even after you told them how. In my experience I have had my fair share with Regal Nails of both. After losing the one person I had working at regal nails I decided to try Sam for my full set. He did a great job. All I had to tell him was how short I wanted them and if I wanted then square or curved on the sides, the rest was his work of art. I'm pretty simple with my nails but he had a lot of great ideas. I been coming to him ever since. Then Stephanie did my pedicure, she was great too! I have a history of ingrowing nails and whiteout me telling her she took care of them and I was in no pain. Went in today because I needed a pedicure, badly, and the place I normally go to in Carson City did not have any openings. My first impression was the place is kind of dirty and needs to be cleaned. The lady was nice enough at first, but once she saw how rough my heels are, she started to shake her head glare at me,sigh really loud, etc. I She did this over and over. I apologized several times,and said "sorry that that's why I'm in here for a pedicure." Now granted my heels are rough. But I am a clean person and I've always fought rough heels as an adult. I use every cream known to man but cannot get them better. That's why I go for pedicures. This lady should not be doing pedicures if she's disgusted by doing them. She did a good job on the pedicure itself, but her attitude that she made well known, I didn't appreciate. read more

This review is overdue. I meant to post it when it initially happened (February). I've patronized them 3 times prior to this visit for a basic pedicure. The service was ok. But this time I wanted a particular nail service, (GEL BUILDER). I spoke with the lady who I think is the manager. She definitely always acts like she's the "BOSS" when I've been in before. She looks like the character from the Incredibles so it's not hard to notice her. Plus she's loud and mouthy. I had pictures and showed her exactly what I wanted. She said "I do for you. Then she said "I no have gel builder, but I make it look like what you want." So, I sat down at her station. I was the ONLY customer there. As she was filing I asked a few more questions about how she could give me what I wanted since she "no have gel builder." She kept turning back to the other techs and talking in Vietnamese about all of my "questions." Each time she would put my hands down, sigh, and roll her chair back away from me. The drama was unreal. She said, "You ask too many questions." At one point she said "You go to Minden Nails then." This went on for about 10 minutes. I pulled my hands away and got up and said "F YOU- it's my service I'm paying for it, I can ask questions." I got loud. People in the check stands were watching and I got up and walked out. Such a bad experience. It's a poorly run shop in almost every way -not friendly and appointments are irrelevant- I had to wait well past my appointment time and once I was seated,she actually stopped my service for a walk in. I cannot say how the pedi was because it was just the most blatant disregard of customer service, that I walked out . Absolutely, the worst place ever. Do not go here. I read everybody else's reviews and I should've read them before I went. I wanted simple polish on my nails and a pedicure. Polish she put on my nails fell off in three days. I paid $107 for gel manicure and it fell off literally peeled off like paint horrible. When I came back to complain, I was told they would redo my nails and just paint them with regular paint. I went back to get my regular paint job on my nails today Sunday 7/13. The girl who was going to do it couldn't do it so there was a man who is the rudest person ever! First time the second time I got up and left with my fingers are horrible so I'll go home and take it off never ever ever ever go here they need to shut it down. Well, they're ok. I've been going to this location for 7 years. Some techs are better than other, friendlier and attentive. Others barely acknowledge my existence. They always chatter amongst themselves or on their ear bud, I their language, which I find rude. This last time, I had called the day before for a 10:30 appointment the following day. When I arrived the woman looked at me like I had 3 heads! No appointment! You're not on the books! Come back at noon! Pretty much shooed me out. I don't live close so I shopped a little at Walmart then took a drive. When I got back at noon, she acted like she didn't know me! As she was prepping for my pedicure, the phone rang, she answered and spoke for a minute then handed me the phone and a flier for the shop and said tell this lady our address!!! I did, but it was weird! A few minutes later, that lady came in for her manicure. The tech said, no time! Come back in 30 minutes! The woman said that she'd just driven from Carson City because she was told on the phone to come right in! The tech said, oh I forgot this lady was coming back, I didn't write it down! So, the woman had to wait while I got my pedicure. The tech proceeded to chatter on with her co worker, and hurried through. Didn't do the greatest job, adequate. I'm not fussy and only get a pedicure a few times a year, but after the way I've been seeing and hearing how they treat their customers, I doubt I'll go back. I went to get a mani pedi. I got terrible service. She was in a hurry the whole time, refused to give me any polish on my nails and did the crappiest job on the cuticles on both my toes and my fingernails. The polish she did put on my toe nails wasn't able to dry in between so it was awful and chipped by that night, exactly why I got them done in the first place. Do NOT go to regal nails. They are rated number one cause they paid more money to get that status. I went there and they hurt my toe nails so badly. I would show a picture but I believe it is too graphic. They gave me three hang nails due to cutting past the quick! Three different toes. The hangnails have a piece of nail sticking out, when it grew it cut my skin so badly I had to have both my big toes lasered to be fixed & one on my left foot, the middle toe. It took about 6 to 8 very painful weeks to heal. If you could call it heal d. My nails have never grown back to the way it was originally. Please I am just trying to warn you. All Regal nails are owned by the same person. And they switch the nail techs back and forth from one salon to another. Worst experience at a salon in my lifetime. It has been a few months now. My toe nail grew back deformed. I had beautiful feet at one time. My nails never did grow back. I have half a nail on both big toes. Deformed for life. read more

Pedicures are supposed to be relaxing.This woman tortured my toes, she made them bleed.They were uneven and I had to go somewhere else after.I had them done to have them done again.Because they were hideous. She made me bleed, and she dug her nail into the side of the cuticles of my toes. And when are there to have a relaxing pedicure. It was a chamber of horrors. Never again! I thought I'd surprise my daughter with a mani & pedi and my mother a mani. Upon arriving and waiting for chairs to open up, they switched their front so no chairs to wait, you had to stand. After 15 minutes my daughter sat down to get her pedi. My mother also sat down for her mani. Right after that a group of 3 came and said they had a 3:00 for pedis. They were 15 minutes early so they were asked to return. Not only did they sit my daughter but another lady at 2:45. My mother has dementia and is partially blind. I shouldn't have left her alone but my daughter was there so I thought i could get the 5 items on my list. I was gone for no more than 15-20 minutes. When I got back my daughter already had her pedi and was getting her nails done! Seriously! She said they only put 1 coat of nail polish on. She then walked up to me and told me my mother's technician was being very rude to my mom (grandma) the whole time. I walked up to see what was going on. My mother said she couldn't understand anything this lady was telling her. My mother is an 85 years old Italian lady. She had asked the technician what language she was speaking while I was gone and my daughter said the lady told her Spanish. The plexi shield they put up was very clear and my mother would lift her hand to give it to the technician but hit the shield. The lady got mad at my mom and before I could say something my daughter told her to stop being so rude to her grandma. Then the technician proceeded to explain what my mother was doing and that my daughter was being mean to her. It was like being in preschool. I finally paid and vow never to come back. Then as I was paying, my mother said her nail was scratchy. The technician filed it and put the file in my mother's purse. When I got home she complained her nail was rough again. When I inspected them all her nails were like that because the technician failed to use the electric file under her nails. Beware! If you want to be pampered and not rushed go somewhere else. Yeah I shouldn't have expected much but I was in need of getting out of the house and wanted something as quick as possible. Location within Walmart and they always say it will be 5 min but expect to wait 30 for a walk in minimum. Generally you are coming here out of convenience and not making a special trip. Chairs- Mostly they work. Customer Service- what you expect, generally lacking and chop shop quick. Cleanliness- Just look at the work stations and it's pretty clear you are taking a chance here. It's a cluttered shop with things thrown in the back. They pull instruments out of an unsterilized autoclave bag and no one loaded the machine while I was here. The techs do wear gloves tho but do not change them between clients. Work itself- not bad, the pedicure turned out okay. Was $25 for standard pedicure. Overall, if you can skip it, do try. read more

After reading some of the reviews of this business, I was a bit skeptical about it. However, I have a well-respected friend who swears by this location--especially, Kathy. So I went ahead and scheduled a deluxe pedicure (no color). And how glad I am!!! Kathy was fantastic. She works quickly and methodically and and gives great attention to the little details of the job. in 40 minutes I was done and amazed! So now I can save the drive to Carson City and enjoy a top-notch pedicure right in my home area. Yes, I did have an appointment. It was early on a week-day and the shop was not busy. I did not have to wait to be served and received outstanding service. Kudos to this location and to Kathy. She is my new "go to" pedicurist!!! :-) read more

Staff was friendly but the wait time was absolutely ridiculous. 3x as long of a wait as they said it would be. They kept taking in new people saying it would be 10 or 20 minutes when it was clearly longer. They started soaking my feet and my friend waited for over half an hour by the time she got into a chair they had just started working on mine. Barely scrubbed my feet. Do not deluxe. Not worth it. They just used a lavender scrub and lotion instead of the orange. There was nothing different or special about it. Definitely not worth the extra $10. The polish looks good. We'll see how well it holds up. Didn't get the manicure because they forgot we asked for one and after the pedi we decided it wasn't worth it to get our nails done too. I made 2 appointments for pedis at 2 pm. As we arrived for our appointment the techs began to argue with each other, loudly. There were a couple more 2:00 appointments arriving right after us. Needless to say, they had too many people scheduled for 2:00. They gave us our pedis, no massage. The appointment lasted 20 minutes! Also, they up charged us. As soon as I sat down the tech said she was giving me the deluxe pedi. The only difference between the regular pedi for $25 and he delux pedi for $35 is $10! No tip with this up charge!! Honestly deserves zero stars. I was hoping for a very simple nail extension. After the gentleman shaped them and applied the acrylic I had to stop him before moving on as I noticed my right thumb nail was not correct. In fact it appeared half the nail was missing. He applied a small amount of acrylic but it did nothing to fix it, then didn't wait for it to dry and filed it right off. After he said go pick a color, I said no thank you, I am done I'd like to pay now. He tried to get me to put a gel top coat on and I again said no thank you Id like to pay. Another lady came over and asked what was wrong, I simply showed her my thumb and said I am going to need to try to fix these myself, so Id like to pay now. Went there for a three pedicures and two manicures for our party of 5. We had a reservation and two of us waited for 45 minutes before getting our nails done. The people were unorganized and sloppy. I have been here three times for myself now and a couple other times to be with friends while they get things done. No one here is good at nails. No one. Especially mike. The nails here chip and break easily, the polish doesn't last (yes even gel), it's just really poor quality. Last time I went, I got mike and I showed him a simple ombré nail that I wanted, didn't have to be exact but just an idea. He looked nervous and tried to do one nail and couldn't,we had to start all the way over and do a different plain color. The lady who does eyebrows does an okay job but doesn't take the make up off my eyebrows first, even when asked. How are you gonna do a good job when you don't get to see my entirely real brow? The two times I came with my sister, she got a pedicure. The first time they cut her up really bad and had her in a lot of pain and the second time, when she went to pay she didn't want to tip because of horrible service and the lady goes "what, no tip?" Stephanie did my nails and she was very nice. She had a great steady hand and asked if I would like a flower down. I decided to be adventurous and try it out. I thought it was great and so did the other ladies in the shop! I got gel mani and pedi. They were a great price too. For regular mani and pedi its $35 and for gel its $10 each. Pretty reasonable I think. I know I have seen reviews for Regal Nails that was more down than ups hut I have gone here a few times and the ladies take care of me. So I would like to start by saying.. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT. So when we areived on time (my wife and I).. Mike was working on another client.. we were there for Cindy. When we asked for Cindy, Mike seemed confused. We then let Mike know that we had a 12:30 appointment.. because, ya know, it's by appointment only.. so then we find out that Cindy is not there today.. (thanks for the heads up) .. but none the less, we settled on my wife having her nails done by a lady who is really good at pedicures.. and me having another lady do my pedicure at the same time. So they started me in the water and 20 minutes later, some woman comes in and walks in to her pedicure in front of me and the whole shop jumps into helping everyone else rather than the two people.. with APPOINTMENTS. I will never go back. So if you like pedicures and manicures where the tech is always jumping up to help every walk-in.. then this is your place. read more

My husband and I were on vacation and didn't book a place ahead of time to for pedicures. We called over 10 places that didn't have any openings. Regal Nails said we could be there in 30 minutes! We were so excited. The service was AMAZING! All of the staff were so welcoming and joking with us right away. I ended up getting a mani as well because the service was so great and they were very fast. We saw so many people come in-with and without appointments. They were all shown respect and courtesy and professionalism. They made us feel like we were the only ones in there-giving us massages and taking their time, but we were still done in a very timely manner. I was very impressed. I would definitely go back. they ask if you want dlx pedicure, learned from last time was not worth the 10 bucks extra, so this time I specifically said I did not want the dlx. She did it anyway and was charged the 10 bucks exrta. Will not return. Sister went in week before and was never asked if she wanted (for $10 more) the dlx pedicure, they just automatically did it and charged her $35. Also their tools are not sanitized just rinsed and thrown back in their drawer. A shame to rip customers off with worthless $10.00 extra leg scrub and smelly stuff added to the water. read more

My daughter and I went for a pedicure and were there for no more than 20 minutes. They were very rushed, impersonal and did a very poor job altogether. I'm so disappointed. My husband bought me a mani pedi and I chose to get a classic frenchtip mani and it looks absolutely horrible. Some sides are thicker than others and there is a ton of bubbles under my nails. The shapes are all off and I'm embarrassed to show them off. I'm not sure if I'll ever go here again but I know if I do I will be laying kore attention to how they look than relaxing. read more
