so i came here after being invited to an indian wedding and was told this was THE PLACE to get a sari in NJ. It was a popping saturday... and every indian person and their mother was here. but they were courteous. I found a sari and it was nice enough. i guess these things can get quite expensive!! i got something that was pretty well priced.. I went to a dressing room and like any asian auntie, was manhandled and somehow put into a sari after a series of witchcraft origami folding. very helpful and i felt like i got it for a good price, as I was probably only wearing it once. thanks my indian auntie.. i never did figure out how to fold that sari.. but I was glad to have my desi friends to help on the day of.. read more

Absolutely love this place - cannot understand the bad reviews at all. It is a small shop, so their selection is limited but very nice. They have a full range of price for outfits - anywhere from $100- $1000 (high end prices for bridal). It is much cheaper than any place in Edison, that's for sure. They also have a full men's shop next door as well as a children's one. Have purchased things for both for my family. I come here atleast twice a year to update my wardrobe. read more

Fairly big selection to choose from and prices are very reasonable. Staff in Women's apparel was friendly however, the woman working in jewelry (I believe her name was Saijala) was very rude and lacked customer service skills. But no worries, nearby Oak Tree Road has plenty of jewelers. read more

I was referred here by a friend and I was not disappointed. I walked in, someone greeted me, asked me what I was looking for ( cause there are so many types of outfits to choose from) and directed me to the right person. They explained to me how the pricing works so you don't freak out when you see the price tag. I wish I remembered the woman's name, but she was patient. I had no idea what style or colors I wanted but knew I wanted either a Saree or Lehenga choli for a wedding. The material has to be light since I would be in DR. She listened to what I needed and didn't offer me things that weren't on my list. She helped me look, let me try what I wanted on and taught me how to drape the saree on. I came here on a Sunday with my mother. I usually shop in India for my clothes but a surprise event caught us off guard. We were really scared after going around oak tree road and having price ranges of over $300 for the simplest stuff. The store is very well organized into sizes so you don't have to go through the racks and find your specific size- everything is already separated for you. The clothes selection is really good but it's at a first come first serve basis. Some clothes are more discounted than others so you have to take your time and look around. We ended up buying a Pakistani style lawn suit for $200 for my mother. I had bought a similar suit with less work in India for over $300 so i was extremely satisfied. We went there with high expectations and we were all excited to go since eid is coming soon. The first thing I noticed was that the store was fairly small. The reason why I bring this up is that, in the pictures on Facebook, the store looked a lot bigger. With that being said, a lot of people were in the store which made it hard to walk around and you can't really see everything since people were blocking some of the clothes. The aisles were also very narrow which made it hard for 2 people to have their backs against each other when they were looking at clothes. The clothes itself weren't bad but they aren't the things you see on Instagram these days if you know what I'm talking about. The second thing and the main problem I had is NONE OF THE PRICES ARE WHOLESALE. You can't find a nice dress for less than $300. I know that isn't a lot of money but considering you can buy nicer dresses online, it was kind of a fail. The things I did like about the store was the people who are working there were nice and the fitting rooms were spacious. The store had a separate section for sarees which I sadly couldn't explore. One other thing that was interesting is that the men and kid's section were separate from the women's which is honestly kind of a fail. It's not a far walk or anything but it would be nicer if it was together. All in all, I didn't end up buying anything and ended up purchasing a dress online. read more

Visited Regards this past weekend for Navaratri shopping. We made the drive down from NYC with the expectation of picking up quite a few pieces for my mother, sister and myself. The suits selection was probably the best but every suit I selected for myself had some sort of damage, whether it was on the embroidery or the zippers. It was unfortunate they were one-piece only because the prices and quality seemed amazing - I even considered purchasing if they'd offer a discount on damaged material and having a tailor fix the damages, but that was not an option. Although the prices were discounted, it did not make sense to purchase them at full-price just to have to pay a tailor to alter them. The sari selections were difficult to really go through because you have to ask to take them out one by one. Perhaps if each sari package had a picture of a model wearing the sari, it'd be a bit easier to shop. My mom was really interested in purchasing some ready-made blouses because they were beautiful and well-priced but options at her size we very limited. We could not find anything at the main store for my sister's size (34-36) so they directed us to the kids store but they only had two lenghas in her size - no suits or gowns. That was disappointing because she didn't even have options unlike I did. We did end up purchasing one lengha each - Daman and Zeel (sorry if I mis-spelled that) were both very helpful in the main store. I guess our expectations were a bit too high going in but we are content with our purchases. I am not sure we would make the trip over again for the sole purpose of shopping there but if around the area, it would be worth a stop to a look. read more
