I am not from that area and that scared me from getting out of my car. Then, I walked inside. The smell was horrible, it smelled like weird incense or weed; I am not sure. However, I was exhausted and the other option in that small town is worst so I proceeded to my room. There was blood-looking splatter on the wall, live bugs in the bathroom, carpet was torn and stained, and bed linens were not commercial grade and looked like they were a mismatched set just thrown on. There was pubic hair all over the bathroom and you could visibly tell that it had not been cleaned. I refused to shower there. At breakfast the biscuits were stale and old. On the bright side, they have a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. They do not have a fitness room. All in all, I would NEVER stay there again!

Monica is the manager, the cook, the groundskeeper, the cleaning crew, the server, she is an awesome human. I don't know how she does it all. She's just as charming as the house. The house was tidy and clean...so clean. The Blue Fern puts any hotel chain to shame, they could learn a thing or two from Monica about hospitality and professionalism. Her breakfast was yummy and the coffee cake was tasty. They are in the process of trying to sell the Blue Fern and retire, but in the meantime, they gotta keep the lights on, stay here if you're going to Tahlequah. A little small but modern with modern slots. The only knock is lack of restaurants. They only really have one restaurant and it's closed on Wednesday. Not sure why it's not open 7 days a week in a casino. They also have a grab and go but the kitchen wasn't open when we went down around 7. Went to the diner across the street. As far as a hotel I'd stay here again for sure.
