Dr. Clem did a few successful implants but after 3 very painful bone grafts on the bottom, I felt abandoned & taken advantage of. I practically begged him for help. He never acknowledged my severe pain, NO EMPATHY. Also sent old x- rays causing confusion. After sending me to his Dr. friends, Dr. DeJong in Tustin & Dr. Yang in Y.L., neither of which diagnosed infection & $8000 to Dr. Yang, and much stonewalling, I had to leave for help. read more

Dr. Yen chose not to charge for the 2nd graft; he's a man of integrity & insured a stable platform. He outsourced the artistry for matching my unique teeth opalescence & striations. He continually consulted w/ my dentist regarding achieving superior results in forming my balanced gum line. My whole life I have been very insecure with how small my teeth appeared when I smiled. It made me feel like my smile was very gummy but I never knew knew what to do about it. I mentioned it to my dentist and he recommended that I go to Dr. Clem. I was greeted with smiling faces when I went to see Dr. Clem. His office is beautiful and well kept and his staff is very polite and professional. I explained my concerns and he recommended crown lengthening. He was very knowledgeable about the procedure and explained each step to me making me feel comfortable to move forward. I was not at all happy with Dr. Clem. I was told he was the best in the business. I now know that, that is not true. I was not happy with his implant work and when I tried to discuss with him the reasons why, he could have cared less. His "chair side manner" is awful. He is arrogant and cold. He makes you feel like he is too busy for your concerns. I should have listened to my gut after the first consultation when his assistants (who were all very nice) gave me much more information than he. I moved from this area two years ago but I would never recommend his office to anyone. I have finally been able to afford to have his work redone by another wonderful dentist is Portland. read more

I didn't even get to the point to see a dentist. I tried to make an appointment this morning and the person who answered the phone ( I won't call her a receptionist because I don't think she qualities to be one) was so rude. She pretty much tried her best to make sure I don't schedule an appointment. She asked what insurance I have and when I said PPO, she said ok good. You need to call them and figure out if you're covered for a full mouth Xray. You know that's what they pay you for, right? Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere else where customer service is still part of doing business. read more

Nelson T. Yen D.D.S. M.C. Inc. & Barbara Macias, D. D. S I needed a miracle. I knocked out my front tooth and twisted and jammed the one next to it. Dr Yen took me without an appointment. He pulled down the twisted tooth. Months later he put in bone chips to fix the empty space so he could put in the shaft to hold the implant. It took a year to fix it all. Nothing was guaranteed. He was patient and thoughtful every step of the way. He and Dr. Macia worked together to give me two beautiful front teeth from an ugly mess. I smile a lot now. Thank you so much!. read more

Never did I intend to replace a tooth I had lost years ago, thinking that I had learn to hide the toothless gap with a crooked smile, so why bother? And of course there was the issue of dealing with my holistic side that rejected the thought of foreign metal in my tissue. And of course the biggie: cost. Well,....to hell with all that because after so many years, I just want my tooth back! Dr. Yen is not the cheapest, but if there's one lesson I've learned in my 33 years of existence, it is that (in most cases) you truly get what you pay for. I have never met a doctor who was so un-intimidating, patient, caring, and attentive to my needs. He was the most academically qualified in the 4 different surgeons I visited-and I have to warn you that you should never let a regular DDS put in a dental implant as most have only attended a weekend implant seminar b4 performing implants on unsuspecting clients (am I reminding you of those $1200 implant + crown ads in the newspaper?). Dr. Yen and his staff continue to impress me with their professional and friendly service. I am never afraid to ask questions, never afraid to send him an email or give him a call if I have any concern. My implant process has been very successful and Dr. Yen has always been there to help with any concerns I had. I urge anyone looking for a doctor of any kind, to look for one that you are not intimidated by, one that you have access to if you have concerns or just general questions, and most importantly, one that is patient and doesn't make you feel like they are so busy, they don't have time to deal with you. Dr. Yen has really changed how I choose doctors of any kind in the future. He is truly one-of--a-kind. I recommend anyone interested in implants to at least give him a chance at a consultation, once you meet him, you will understand why I give him such high props! I am so happy I was referred to Dr. Nelson Yen at Regenerative Solutions in Fullerton. He and his entire staff are professional, caring and thorough. The instructions he gave for pre and post surgery were very detailed and easy to understand. During surgery Dr. Yen was intent on making sure I was comfortable and not in pain, often checking to make sure I was ok and he even called me the evening of the surgery to see how I was feeling. He is a gifted surgeon who doesn't take any shortcuts and I'm sure I'll never have any problems with the implant he did for me. He's an amazing doctor with an excellent (well earned) reputation and on top of that he's just a really nice person with a great sense of humor and a knack for putting you at ease. His staff is terrific as well and the office runs like clockwork. I was never kept waiting for my scheduled appointments and they were always eager to accommodate me. The experience provided by Dr. Yen is excellent. I was referred to him by my orthodontist Dr. Macginnis & my general dentist Dr. Larson because I needed dental implants for 2 congenital missing teeth. I honestly believe that these guys are the trifecta of all dental services. Dr. Yen is extremely professional and provides a personalized experience every time I have seen him. I appreciate his major attention to detail (he would call pickiness) because the end result is spectacular. The day of my surgery he reassured me that everything would turn out fine as he inserted my IV (1 poke only) and proceeded to give me my sedation. Woke up to a successful surgery and remember him bringing my parents into the room to explain to them what he did and took the time to show them the xrays. Till this day my general dentist Dr. Larson brags about the awesome work of Dr. Yen and how precise he was in placing my implants with very little wiggle room.
