I've been to this one three times. I've managed to deposit a check once. As this sounds like balderdash, here's what my visits have consisted of. Time #1 - I was taking a check to drop off. I got stuck in a line of cars going around to the deposit areas. After 15 minutes a security guard started helping people back out of the line. There was no way around it. At 22 minutes we managed to get out of the parking lot. As I had a kid with me who was not pleased with being stuck in a hot car, I decided to go to another BOA the next day. Time #2 - pulled to the drive through. No answer. Waited for about five minutes and decided to go in. There was a line to the door. It didn't move while I was there. I really wish I'd kept a record of how long I was there but I got told by work just forget it we'd mail the check it would get deposited faster. Time #3 - pulled to the drive through. This time I count and there're about three cars in the parking lot and just one guy in the drive through line, one person on the ATM. I should have left when I noticed his car was off. At eight minutes he grabbed something from the tube, yelled at someone, put the tube back in and about four minutes later his business was done. I got there and a woman told me to hold on a minute, they had a customer in front of me inside. I should have left. I checked in, cleaned out my inbox, bought a couple of fire extinguishers on Amazon, upgraded a subscription I had, and otherwise wasted another 20 minutes. I consoled myself with that I was getting paid for this waste of a bank. I left at 33 minutes. I'd contemplated seriously going in and just yelling for them to return the check so I could go to a different branch because I needed a receipt for work. Every time I report on that the deposit was done and it took an insane amount of time I'm told that it's the worst bank ever and they're glad it was me being stuck and not them. Oh, but at least they're closing the drive through this month so there'll be one less way you can deposit money in this place.

Let me preface this with it seems to have gotten better, but as no reparations or apologies were…read moreever really made let's have at some stories. I was a customer of a bank back in 1979, that bank got bought out by another bank, that bank got bought out by another bank, that one got bought out by Union Planters, and that finally got bought out by Regions. This is how I came to be with this bank. I've never had a problem until they were Regions. Incident 1: someone stole a check out of a mailbox, copied my signature and checks, and wrote $3000 worth of checks until they cleared out my account. I was unable to call anyone as the Regions phone numbers were sticking me in a phone loop, had to haul ass down to this regions where I got in a couple of minutes before they closed. Fraud alert, account shut down, numerous notes, police report submitted the next day, spent nearly two months fighting with them to drop the bounced checks, overdraft, random charges. Decided to stick with them, don't know why at this point because it would have been easier to leave. Incident 2: decided to get a HELOC with them. Me and wife signed off as it was required that both of us sign. Her name is Kim Y... they kept putting in the wrong social security number. We kept correcting it, loan officer said there was just some wrong piece of info that they had purchased her info from another bank. This was false. We'll say the wrong piece of info (which we discovered later,) is there was another Kim Y with that other social security number who happened to have an account. The loan officer really should have caught that after the address, social security number, phone number, and age had to be corrected the second time and were correct on the paperwork we submitted. But no. I know from the panicked call I got from a Regions employee that the other Kim Y had filed a police report of fraud, or was filing it, because this loan officer had not caught that it was a different person, even though informed over and over again that all the info was incorrect. Well, that guy had quit the day after we signed the loan, and he was five weeks gone when the other Kim Y tried buying a house and was turned down because she had a loan with me evidently, even though we'd corrected the paperwork twice he somehow submitted it with the wrong Kim Y info. So Regions closed the loan down, made me and my Kim Y redo the paperwork once again, and supposedly this all happened while the other was in the middle of a life crisis (which buying a home is in essence). My guess is if added up we wasted about 12 hours for the HELOC... closed it a couple of months later. Incidents 3 involved a teller that constantly could not read my handwriting. I mean, I know it's not the greatest but I ended up taking pictures and asking people if they had any trouble reading it and it was a resounding no. Numbers are legible. I'd submit a deposit slip where maybe the total was 400... she'd count the cash and smarmily tell me that I had put the wrong number down. I'd ask if it was $400 and she'd say yes, I'd ask what she read when looking at the deposit and she'd get angry. This was a while ago, she doesn't work there, but it was pretty consistent. Made me use the ATM for the couple of years she was there. Now, it's better now. I start thinking back to why I haven't left and it comes down to with my work I've worked with a lot of other banks, and I've heard their horror stories... so yeah, just not wanting new ones.

There was no card. *headdesk* No, really, I looked everywhere. Sealed envelope, nothing fell out, they just forgot to include it. It's been another week, I still have no checks (they were $15.75, not 18 like I previously wrote, sorry about that). Never received a check card with the wrong name on it, which I was supposed to by now. I have one with the right name on it that they printed in house however. They didn't print mine up in-house at time of opening because the rep's software wasn't working. Account opened 7/23, it's 8/17 at the moment, kind of unusable for my purposes still as I have no checks. I mean, it's not like I have to have it, I've got another bank, but dang... I was planning on quitting other bank because I thought *they* were incapable of getting it right,

For two years, I've been stonewalled, even as I provided evidence, records, and proof of their employee's negligence. This $50,000 loss destroyed my business and life savings, and Ascend has done nothing to make it right. If this can happen to me after 33 years of loyalty, it can happen to anyone. This bank is not safe." Proceed Fraud, negligence lack of protection no accountability and avoidance when something wrong happens. This isn't a place I can grow with any longer due to this. Mistakes happen but the higher ups and branch managers that is completely unacceptable how they have handled it . This bank used to care about its members but it's not the same bank I e been with 33 years. no integrity at all no standards in the employees and their training apparently... it's easier to just say it's the customers fault I guess. Try losing 50k it hurts especially when I was helping someone at a place I trusted I feel so betrayed!
