I needed an office (because I'm loud and make phone calls) for a day when I was in Portland and…read morecalled the night before. I got Scott and he was super welcoming and resourceful. He gave me information on parking, on breakfast and on the space! I felt like he was my personal concierge. I showed up before they opened and he personally greeted me and made sure I was all set up. i'm a busy executive, who travels a lot and needed this to be a quick transaction. Scott delivered above and beyond. The space is beautiful, quiet and set up for work. There is coffee , tea, quiet, but nice music, etc. Will be back!

A lovely space with some lovely people. I like the vibe of the place and the interior design…read more There are some lounge-y working areas and long tables, if you're a general member or day pass goer. Lots of electrical outlets that are intelligently placed on top of the tables, and the wifi was reliable. Kitchen was stocked with the usual coworking amenities. That is, water, coffee, basic tea, and some basic snacks. The day I was there, it was Kind bars and bananas. There are more snacks and drinks in a vending machine in the kitchen and for sale at the reception desk, including gigantic bars of chocolate(!) which are produced by one of the occupants. There's a frig to store things. Some minor issues to note: Tea service is very basic. I only saw one "telephone booth", though it doesn't seem too bad if you have a conversation out in the open area. The space was rather chilly and I had to put on my jacket and scarf. I recommend bringing layers. Lastly, the chairs in the general areas were not adjustable and didn't provide good lumbar support. An example of beauty over function here. I wish the interior designer/manager opted for more ergonomic chairs, as occupants are often there all day long. Overall, this space was great! Bathrooms: Clean and functional, and lovely.

The dream, I think we can all agree. CNTRL's East Side facilities were immaculate and everyone's covid manners - staff and fellow visitors alike - were excellent. Actually everyone's anything manners were excellent period, except maybe mine, because I showed up to an understaffed building (hello, ice storm, that'll happen) and had a tantrum over the "closed" sign accidentally left on the door. Extra thanks to manager Tami for graciously tolerating and soothing me.

Probably five stars if you get the dedicated office spaces; for general members and day pass goers,…read moreI would give it 3.5 stars. Giving five stars overall, since most of the space is dedicated office spaces. Day passes: $35 for the day, $25 for half-day Very nice space, with the usual co-working amenities (free coffee, tea, water, wifi), numerous power outlets, and modern interior decor with some nice unique touches, like fresh flower bouquets on some tables, an abundance of natural light everywhere, and a coffee station on the first floor even though the kitchen is on the second floor. The general area is not as large as their Pearl District location. There's two kitchens, with refrigerators for use by everyone to store things. There's indoor bicycle storage(!) which is available to day pass users as well. If you get one of the dedicated office spaces on the second or third floor, the views are quite lovely. The only issues that makes this 3.5 stars for general members and day pass users involve the fishbowl effect of the space and the ergonomics of the chairs. Most of the open areas for general members/day pass users are very visible to the outside, with floor-to-ceiling windows. There's a somewhat more secluded space in the back with space for maybe eight people. This would make me nervous if I were doing work that was more private or if I was worried about leaving my stuff in the open to go to the bathroom, etc., the front door is unlocked and opens directly into the general member areas. Granted, the front desk person is there most of the time, but it's still a bit concerning for me. The second thing is for my back--the chairs in the general member/day pass areas are not ergonomic/adjustable office chairs, so it becomes difficult to work all day in them. In the very least, something adjustable height and even a lumbar pillow I can borrow from the front desk would be lovely. I was here briefly during their first week in operation, so there are some very minor glitches here and there, like not having those black little stirring things for tea/coffee, only half-and-half as the dairy option for your coffee/tea, and so on, but nothing that seems like an issue that will persist as they refine their space. Bathrooms: Clean, modern design, very functional, quite lovely, overall.
