This congregation teaches you about the High Holy days when most Christians cannot keep them at all. In fact, some of these Sabbaths for specific Holy days land during the week, such as Rosh Hashanah, when most Christians have to work. I would not go here because of the Judaism they mix in with Christianity. It can make you feel inept before God when hearing about laws you cannot keep; further, most Jews cannot keep them either which is why it is misleading. Keep that in mind.
This guy vindicates Judaism by dressing up like Judaism. Lookup on Youtube: Michael Brown Q&A 13...he says the Kippah is associated with non-Jesus believing Jews. How can Sumner say he believes in the right way to God when he emulates (Galatians 5:20, emulations is a sin) and imitates non-Jesus believing Jews, and believes they are right when they say Rabbi means teacher?
Second, are his broad and general references about Jewish tradition in relation to the movie "The Fiddler on the Roof". This guy does not understand what he is even talking about because the Fiddler on the Roof is a Satanic film about a Jewish drunk (Tevye) who spends his time dancing effeminately with his arms out stretched, and with shoulder circles which is often seen in women's belly dancing. This happens in random scenes as he drinks himself drunk at the local bar. All of the bar dance scenes are symbolic for drunkenness. In one night scene, the Fiddler is dressed in red, he is hunched over as he plays the violin, and walks behind Tevye who is walking home drunk; then, the Fiddler disappears. Jesus says sinners will be cast into outer darkness, and it is written no drunk enters the Kingdom of Heaven. Tevye spends his time nearly drunk or drunk throughout the whole film. Do not attend, they contradict the New Testament. This guy says they "minister to the Minnehaha" area, well people, he lives in the prestigious Salmon Creek area. He doesn't even live around the people he claims he "ministers" to which is a bunch of retired adults who travel into the area and two or three who might be nearby. My College Professor who is on the diversity committee does not even live in a diverse neighborhood. I would expect more follow through from someone claiming Christianity. Back to Rehoboth and their Jewish-ness, you cannot kindle fire on the Sabbath. Moses said the Lord had a man put to death for "gathering sticks" on the Sabbath. But they drive vehicles on the Sabbath. They light the Menorah, which is a Holy instrument, and supposed to be specifically built a certain way, they (nor Judaism) understands how to this day. Prayers for the dead! Kaddish is the mourner's prayer which is not Christian.
"Spot on Orthodox" is not Christian because Matthew 23:3 says not to do after their works. Whose works? Obviously the Pharisees and other Jews of the day. Did you know? Modern day Judaism considers themselves a lineage of the Pharisee? So why is he emulating them? Matthew 23:8 says not to be called Rabbi so how is he insightful? He says Rabbi means teacher when there is not a 1st century Hebrew dictionary. In fact, he says you can't call him 'the Rabbi' which would be Jesus, but you can call him Rabbi because he is not 'the Rabbi'. He completely twisted scripture, and added words which are not written which is a contradiction of the book of Revelation 22:19. The New Testament gives the interpretation of Rabbi and its meaning in John 1:38. He not only wears the Kippah, he also covers his head with a tallit and prays. Jesus is not an Orthodox Jew, he is Messiah, and he would not have worn a round cloth on his head because it is not written and neither is the tallit. The Israelites were suppose to wear fringes with one blue thread and not just a blanket. Read Numbers 15:38. He is leading people on a two way street, and he is going in opposite directions!! On the one hand he proclaims he believes in Jesus Christ, and on the other hand he dresses like Judaism which says Jesus is not the truth, the way and the life! read more
