You get to lay on one of these tables you have full view of the TV that you get the only remote to. On one side of you is a monitor doing EKG, breathing, blood pressure and other vital signs. The first thing you do is change into these tight stretch pants. They are tight because you do not want any wrinkles on you. Once you're laying on the table, they fit you up with these blowup pants. It gets strapped to your ankles around your knees up your thighs. Which I should mention at this point definitely empty your bladder before going on this table. Once you are comfortable, they will turn the machine on these blowup pants. Get attached to air tubes in the table. Now this is gonna sound weird, but what it does is it pumps air into the pants that matches your heart rate. So all you have to do for an hour is lay there. That's why you have the TV. I got to watch a lot of Netflix while I was going through this therapy. Every 20 minutes they would come in and check on you. What makes his face so great is a sense of humor that the staff has. At least they had with me. We were constantly joking around. From the time I started to the time I stopped I had very noticeable differences in how long I could walk in my breathing I would definitely recommend anyone with a heart issue to have their doctor. I usually meet with a professional after my labs to go over them not for just 10 to 15 minutes, but whatever long it takes until I have no more questions. I research everything I take before I start anything and to me it is all very transparent with this business for years already. They can't control the pharmaceutical compounding prices, and it usually comes out of pocket unless you have an HSA account. I still prefer this than any regular doctor or practice covered with my insurance. You really don't have a lot of choices for things you may develop in the future. I still have insurance in case there's need, but if I don't need to go to the hospital,clinic, or practitioner ruled by big pharm, I will always choose an alternative. It's been a whirlwind these past 3 1/2 years, as the long covid activated chronic mono, chronic fatigue syndrome, knocked out my thyroid, and has moved from one organ system to another. Dr. Akhter has helped me put the pieces together, using several different tools, and has helped me feel much better while navigating what has become a chronic condition. Whether or not that will be permanent, no one knows. One of the things I appreciate about his practice is the extra care. Because he's a functional medical doctor, his visits are 30 minutes long, with an initial hour appointment. In that first visit, e were able to go over all my labs from the past few years as well as give him a general overview of my health and concerns. And on follow up visits, he answers all my questions and spends time making sure I understand what's going on and our next steps. My medication philosophy is a good fit with his. I use a mixture of traditional and complementary/alternative medicine and am comfortable using supplements, nutrition, herbs, and medications. I prefer to limit the medications to what is absolutely necessary and to use as much as I need to help my body heal - while also not taking more than I need. He aligns with my approach. I've often seen an alternative medical doctor alongside a GP, which can be expensive. It's so helpful to have one doctor that honors both forms of care. Functional medical doctors, because of the extra care they offer, are typically much more expensive than typical doctors. Dr. Akhter's fees are very reasonable, and labs are billed at cost. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Akhter. I encourage you to give him a try!

First, I have been dealing with chronic health issues for two decades and have been to countless specialists of conventional medicine as well other alternative medicine practitioners, never getting much relief and only seeing my symptoms multiply over the years. I found Dr. Akhter because he lives nearby...to be honest, because of my history, I didn't expect much. But I was desperate and don't currently have insurance. I liked that his website was very transparent about cost and that he's an MD that doesn't push pharmaceuticals. The best of both worlds. Both of my consults were telemedicine. Dr. Omar listens really well, is very caring, and answered all my questions. I know quite a bit about my condition, having lived with it so long, and I liked that he respected that. He seems very knowledgeable, but down to earth. Because I was traveling soon, and would be away for a while, he was also very flexible about how I could continue my care abroad. Lastly, but most importantly, I hadn't felt healthy in over 10 plus years, until now. With just a few supplements, Dr. Akhter has allowed me to resume my normal work life with hope and optimism. I have been singing his praises to anyone I know.
