Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. I called specifically requesting a deep tissue massage, but was told the available therapist, Noel, did not offer that service. I was instead recommended a therapeutic massage with medium-to-firm pressure. Unfortunately, the pressure was very light and did not address any of the tension or knots I was hoping to work out. I regularly visit spas and have received Swedish massages that were significantly deeper. While Noel was pleasant, the massage simply did not meet my needs, and I left feeling unsatisfied. I was also surprised to learn at checkout that there was an additional charge to use the spa amenities. In my experience, amenities are typically included when booking a treatment. Had I known about the extra fee when I asked about amenities while booking, I could have made a more informed decision. The jacuzzi ended up being the best part of my visit, but I go to a spa primarily for the quality of the massage. Overall, I left feeling that the experience was not worth the cost, and I do not plan to return. I'm giving two stars because the front desk staff was friendly and the facility itself appeared clean and inviting.

The only things I would say needs improvement is none of the lockers had functioning or working keys/locks so I couldn't safely secure my personal items and I had some anxiety about leaving my items in the women's room unsecured. Another issue was the shower faucet took a few minutes to warm up and I wasn't warned about it so I fiddled with it so much at first that I just ended up taking a cold shower. It just would have been a good idea if they just told me how to turn on the faucet and to wait a few minutes for the warm water to kick in, when they gave me the tour. And the button for the body wash kept popping off. So just some minor things need updating. The steam room was fantastic tho! I love the mix of eucalyptus. It really helped my stuffy sinuses. The hot tub is amazing! I love how the seats kinda cradle your butt. I usually have a hard time in hot tubs cuz they push me off the seat. But not with this design! It's wonderfully made and I love the stars and candles. I didn't think it'd use the "cool plunge " but once I realized it wasn't cold it was much needed after over heating myself from the steam room and hot tub. I didn't think I would enjoy the UV room but I actually did! It was very relaxing. The hot tea and snacks are also a bonus. Just a very well done business idea and something I've been looking for. I think the price is more than reasonable for what you're getting. I'll be back! I did mention a couple of my concerns with the staff and it sounds like they do plan on getting new locks in the future so I really hope they live up to that because they have you sign a wavier that basically says they are not liable for stolen items. I have trust issues and have had things stolen out of lockers in my past so this is kind of a big concern of mine that I just hope they can fix quickly. Thanks again Santé spa! You have a new fan. I called Elk Rock Wellness for the…read morefirst time to book a specific modality--neuromuscular trigger point therapy (and potentially deep tissue)--for an upcoming Saturday. What followed was one of the most unprofessional and confusing front-desk interactions I have ever experienced. The receptionist was completely unfamiliar with standard massage terminology. She didn't know what neuromuscular therapy was, stumbled over "trigger point," and didn't seem to understand that they are closely related modalities. Despite representing a large clinic with numerous LMTs, she could not tell me if any therapist on staff specialized in this work, nor could she confirm schedule availability for the upcoming Saturday. Her solution was to tell me she "might" call me back the next day after checking. Asking a potential new client to wait over 24 hours just to find out if a clinic is even capable of performing a requested service is entirely unacceptable. When I explained that I would have to take my business elsewhere if basic scheduling and modality questions couldn't be answered, she seemed completely baffled. What kills me is that her lack of training directly hurts the therapists working there. By being completely unable to sell their services or book a basic appointment, she essentially reached right into an LMT's pocket and snatched a $120 session away from them. I will be taking my business to a clinic that actually understands basic massage therapy terminology and values a client's time. Avoid this place unless you already have a direct line to a specific therapist, because the front desk is actively driving new business out the door.
