The team generally offers specials and you get a massage at a fraction of the price -- about $50 or so for an hour. It is very difficult to find such an affordable spot, and one that keeps decent hours. It is very accessible. But the space is lacking in ambiance (though it is tidy) and the massage was just OK. Nothing terribly wrong, but I did not experience the depth of relaxation to which I was accustomed. Also, I left feeling appreciative for the time, but the benefit of the massage (which will usually last me 2-3 days ) was not apparent, so I ended up going to my regular masseuse later in the week. Given these reasons, Southbay Massage simply can't compete, and pales pales in great comparison, with my favorite location: Cozy Thai.

I will say that my permanent date and I (my son got the Groupon for us as my Father's Day gift, per my request) wished that the 60 minute massage included a thigh massage, as that (and the buttocks, though my permanent date might have taken issue with that) was the only area which didn't get a good massage. Calves and hamstrings were treated quite well, and my arms, shoulders and back feel great.

The Asian lady that was massaging me her hands were rusty af. My personal opinion for massage therapist you should have feminine soft hands not ruthless and rusty lol. 3. I don't know how to feel. The logistical issues continued from there. Despite clearly having a couples room available, we were placed in separate rooms without any explanation or instruction on what to do. The level of professionalism was poor, as we were simply left alone after the masseuses closed the door. During the massage itself, the draping provided was entirely inadequate. Instead of a proper sheet, I was only given a small towel, which left large parts of my body exposed and made me feel very uncomfortable and unable to fully relax. Additionally, my masseuse was overly talkative, constantly asking questions, which was the opposite of the relaxing experience I was seeking. The only positive highlight was the technical skill of the masseuse. The pressure she applied was absolutely perfect--firm and effective, without the excessive pain I have experienced at other Asian massage parlors. While I appreciated the great pressure, the poor customer service, awkward arrival, and insufficient draping overshadowed the quality of the massage. On top of that , they have a window in between the rooms where you can peek through the blinds to the other room where clients are getting a massage. This made me feel uneasy and uncomfortable.
