Dr. Ruben has been my dentist since I was a kid--probably since I was 5 or 6. I'm 24 now. I haven't been to the dentist in a while, but I reached out to him since he's the only one I trust to get my molar taken out. He always goes above and beyond to make me and my family feel like more than just patients. Dr. Cuellar is absolutely FANTASTIC. I've been a patient for over 7 years now and I must say that it's been the BEST dental experience I've ever had. From the regular dental cleaning appointments to mayor work procedures, Dr. Cuellar and his awesome staff can cover it all to perfection. His professionalism and courtesy will exceeds anyone's expectations. The appointments always starts on time. They work with your insurance to make it happen. They are flexible and patient to work with you to fit your visits with their busy schedule. I wonder if perhaps this place is just someone's way of laundering money. Seriously. Two appointments, two wasted days of missing work, not a single bit of dental work done, and I never saw another patient. What dentists' office have you ever been to that you never run into another patient? The doctor and his nurses/receptionist were the only people in the entire office and it was quiet as a mouse... every single time I went in. That's just odd. They weren't tucked away in other rooms either, as the entire place is very open. There just literally wasn't another soul in the place either time. On top of that, I go in to get root canal. The first appointment, I'm given a very quick exam/look, intro, etc. before being told that I need to see the OTHER doctor, as Dr. Ayas doesn't do root canals. Of course, the other doc doesn't work on that particular day so I'll need to come back. I had planned to get work done that day as I didn't make an appt for a "consult", I made an appt for a "root canal"-- that would have been nice to know when I called to set everything up. Whatever, I'll see the other guy when he's available. In the interim, I have an unexpected dental emergency and call to make a quick appointment. I ask the receptionist if this is a consult or if I will actually be getting work done this time-- I cannot take another day off for nothing. I'm told that I will absolutely be getting work done this time and they'll see me then. Great. So, I take the day off, go all the way out there, show up to the empty office, and sit in the chair. All three nurses/receptionist crowd around to "assist" the dentist who pulls up my xrays from last time and says,"You'll need to see the other doctor for this." You're kidding, right? That's why I specifically asked over the phone if I would be getting work done on this day. I would have made a different appointment and actually planned to see the other guy if I knew Dr. Ayas couldn't handle this dental situation EITHER. He doesn't look in my mouth, doesn't take an xray, doesn't even put on gloves before sending me on my way again, yet I get a bill for the "exam". Wow! I'm not quite sure what sort of dental work Dr. Ayas feels comfortable doing but I can tell you it's not root canals and it's not broken crowns. I have yet to see this other dentist that apparently does everything in the office, and I have yet to see another patient. They charged for an exam that they didn't give and wasted two days of mine for absolutely nothing. I have since found a dentist that doesn't give me the run-around and whose office doesn't weird me out (I'm telling you, this place is bright and pretty but it just seems "off"). Dr. Ayas seems nice enough and I'm sure he's a great guy... but as far as a "dentist", I couldn't tell you. read more

I love this place! I've been looking all over for a good dentist that accepted Kaiser/Dominion. Previously researched a bunch of places which had good reviews but ended up not being so wonderful. This place turned out to be excellent and it was in my own backyard. Didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need. Accepted insurance with no additional administrative fee. Got excellent very thorough cleaning and it was clear they cared about me as a patient. I'll be going back here and suggest my family move over to this dentist. read more

I am absolutely a fan of Relaxed Dentistry. From the moment I made my appointment - the woman on the phone was understanding, patient and knowledgable. When I arrived, she greeted me with a genuine smile and made great conversation. I absolutely loved feeling like I was important and not just another patient. The Dr. is the only Dr. there so you are treated royally. He takes the time to get to know you and what you want to accomplish with dental work. He told me that if I had any questions or concerns about the procedure or anything else to call him and he'd be happy to speak to me. I felt wonderful leaving a dentist office for the first time in years, as if he didn't care about getting money from me but making sure I was absolutely satisfied and confident with my smile.. I have always been very uncomfortable and a bit scared of dentists. I came here to get a dental cleaning and I must say that the entire procedure was done better than expected. I was referred to Relaxed Dentistry by a friend and I'm so happy with the results. As soon as I walked in for my first consultation I felt extremely at ease. The practices' ambience is serene and relaxing. I had veneers and implants and I'm thrilled with his work- the results were beyond my expectations. Something IS medically and ethically wrong with the place--if and when the entire team of dentists "moved on" and/or "changed" locations WITHOUT any courtesy of informing the ongoing patients/customers. That's what had happened to the Centreville branch of the Relaxed Dentistry after this current president came to operate the WH office. A while back, I was surprised that the entire team of dentists and hygienist --with an exception of one receptionist--sort of just disappeared entirely the whole team of the Centreville Relaxed Dentistry-- and a new team took over--without either old or new team "bothered" to inform the ongoing patients then- --so much for the e-mails & newsletter websites that during all other times appeared to be plentiful. Worse, the new replacing dentist also seemed to be amused by this ongoing situation of having a surprised patient on hand-- as he kept chuckling a bit that one of the "previous" former doctors ie., Dr. Fahdi A.completely stopped working as a dentist. [ Dr. Fahdi was a great doctor, who was vey considerate and kind to my husband.] Please do not tell me that the courtesy of informing all patients of this drastic change could not be provided--perhaps due to "policy at the central headquarter" of the Relaxed dentistry franchise..If so, that's both pathetic and disrespectful to their own patients. Of course in this country, where everything including medical practices and conducts are a mere business transaction - - - without any regards to any effect of discontinued treatments or any consequential side effects on the patients' side. For instance, I witness a doctor's wife chuckled while telling me a story that a patient who had one of his bone parts' operated ten years ago-- still came hounding her bone doctor (Orthopedic) husband for some more Vicodin--[a beautiful medical name for plain Jane morphine]--because he had become addicted to this painkiller. Herewith I would like to thank another doctor****--who screamed at me as a friend while asking,"Why on earth, did your idiotic doctor prescribed you some Vicodin for this post-surgery, when there are more than two hundred painkillers available in the market? " I was glad to know that there are some ethical doctors left in this country. I did NOT fill in the prescription per her request... ****[ She should know as she was one most competent anesthesiologist herself.] If and when doctors or policies at their headquarter decently treat patients like an equal human being, perhaps, they will make better use of the available own website to inform their patients--rather than using it to solicit good reviews for their gain. Dr. Ayas and the whole staff are beyond excellent. After 15 years of avoiding the dentist because I had a bad experience that traumatized me, one of my molars cracked and broke. I was scared to death b/c, as far as I was concerned, I was never going to the dentist again in this lifetime. My husband called and talked to Jackie before we went in b/c I was literally too afraid to even call them. They were SO, so, so nice and accommodating and I ended up scheduling. An x-ray revealed that I needed a root canal. I chose to have it done by Dr. Ayas with sedation. BTW - Sedation doesn't knock you out, it just makes you really, really relaxed. I went in on a Sat. and it was just me, my husband, the staff and anesthesiologist and one other patient so it truly felt like a personal setting. They put down a comfortable bed on top of the chair, tucked me in and I went to la-la land. They let my husband stay by my side the entire time. While I was already sedated, Dr. Ayas asked if he could go ahead and replace all of my old, leaking fillings that were making my teeth sensitive and I jumped at the chance since the root canal was so relaxing (ha!). He then did a good deep cleaning while I was still sedated and numb. I really, really appreciated that he was looking out for my best interest here and not trying to schedule multiple appointments to drive up the bill. Thank you!!! I had been wanting to have my old metal fillings replaced for years b/c they were so, so ugly but I was always too afraid. Now, I have all white composite fillings. I am no longer embarrassed to open my mouth wide!! Over the years my teeth had shifted considerably since I had braces as a kid. I hated them but was always too afraid to have it treated. Well, a few years later I decided to go see Dr. Aras for a consult and just DO IT! I am so, so glad I did! I now have invisalign and my teeth are getting straighter every day. In 9 short months I am going to have a nice smile. Had I not met Dr. Ayas and his staff, I am quite certain that I would have just gone on hating my teeth and avoiding smiling for the rest of my life. Here's the thing: he never pressures, never admonishes, never lectures, never up- sells. He treats you like a family and makes sure you are comfortable and not afraid before he does anything. He is extremely patient - the few dentists I had gone to before him all lost patience with me while I cried in the exam chair and left before they touched me. So, if you're like me and have a genuine phobia of the dentist, go see Dr. Ayas. Seriously. Sometimes I have to take my toddler with me.
