I am so grateful to have Dr. Asplin as my primary Doctor. She definitely incorporates common sense into her practice (that everyone should be reminded of from time to time). Visiting her is a very different experience than visiting an MD, because she will genuinely care about your life, nutrition, specific health challenges, and overall wellbeing. You get the sense that not only she is very intelligent, but she's also a great person and a Doctor that you can trust. There's still a little ways to go as far as reversing some of my digestive symptoms, but I've never felt better and we've made great progress. I have been a client of Estelle's since 2015 with some breaks during this time due to life changes. When I first began seeing Estelle, I saw her in person at her office which was comfortable. I no longer live in Colorado, so now Estelle and I meet virtually. I am on a very regular appointment schedule, however, she has always remained flexible when accommodating appointment changes. Estelle has and continues to work with me through a variety of issues (PTSD, queer relationships, grief with relationships ending, marriage, self-improvement, religious changes), and I never felt judged or treated differently. Instead, I've always felt extremely safe with Estelle no matter the topic. I easily can say that my life has been changed for the better by Estelle's presence. She celebrates with me when things are good, and provides light at the end of the tunnel when things are hard. She isn't clinical and dry. Estelle is warm, invested, and appropriately humorous. Molly checked every box for us. We interviewed a few doulas and felt a strong connection to Molly as she's very easy to talk to and has a calm energy that was exactly what we needed. Her package feels fairly priced and her services are excellent. The prenatal massage she gave me in my home was one of the best massages of my life, period (it also felt incredible to be able to lay on my stomach with the help of a belly pillow she has).  She patiently answered every question we had and gave us helpful ways to think about how to make the best decisions for ourselves. I felt she easily got to know us and our preferences and could guide us toward things that felt right, without being pushy. Working with Molly is a no-judgment zone. No matter what you hope your birth experience will look like, she'll be supportive and do her best to help you achieve that. She helped us both build a positive mindset around the birth and labor experience -- something I especially needed as I tend to get tense and anxious in situations of uncertainty.  On the topic of uncertainty, we originally planned to have Molly join us in person once I went into labor, but the Covid pandemic happened during my pregnancy. We ended up having Molly join us via FaceTime and Zoom video calls, and I was very impressed with how helpful and effective the virtual setup was. Molly's calm coaching through contractions helped me stay focused, and her ability to tune into my labor progress and see signs I wasn't able to see helped us avoid having a baby in the car on the way to the hospital (my labor progressed much, much faster than I ever expected).  I would recommend Molly's doula services to anyone. It's incredibly helpful to have her as your coach and cheerleader through the wild ride that is making a new little human.

It was ruining my quality of life, missing tons of work, stuck in bed for days in excruciating pain, missing out on a social life, trips to the ER. It was taking over my life! I was having some degree of pain everyday for months and months at a time. I've had to make trips to the ER on several occasions so they could help stop the pain, it literally felt like someone was constantly stabbing me in the abdomen. I was prescribed Vicodin, which was horrible for me, but sometimes was the only thing that would help numb the pain. I would have to take multiple doses before I had any relief., I felt like my life was over! The last ER trip in March, it took 4 doses of their strongest pain medication and finally a dose of anti inflammatory to numb the pain, and before that trip I was given morphine, which made me very sick. It was a nightmare, and after struggling with this for so long, and almost losing my job because I was missing so much work, I decided to schedule a hysterectomy. I was terrified. That felt like my only option and I was crushed. I am 40 years old, and thinking of all the side effects I could face was devastating. By miracle, my manager at work stumbled onto the Frankenhauser Treatment while she was searching for medical supplies for work. After doing some more research I found Denver Holistic Medicine. After receiving 3 injections over a 3 week span I was feeling better. Soon after I started feeling pain again, so I came in during a time when I was having a lot of pain and Dr. Sturm gave me the Frankenhauser injection. I was in horrible pain for about a day after the injection, but after that I was completely pain free! I couldn't believe it. The pain was gone! It lasted for a couple months, and now I am getting these injections when needed to be proactive. I am happy to say, as of now, I was able to cancel my surgery and avoid having my uterus removed! I couldn't be more pleased and hopeful. I highly recommend this treatment for endometriosis, which has no cure. It has given me my life back. I am able to do things I love, like hiking and working on my yard, etc. My belly was always puffed out from being so inflamed, but now I feel skinny again! I do have some pain during the time i'm menstruating, and that's when I usually get another injection if the pain feels like it could get really bad and it helps knock the pain out within 24 hours! This has been such a long and crazy journey, but I am so happy that I have a holistic option to manage this pain. I haven't needed opioids, or to visit the ER, or even my OBGYN that was going to do my hysterectomy, for months and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dr. Sturm! She has helped with issues of circulation, the common cold, sinus infection, inflammation in my ankle from running, and irritability.
